From the little experience I've had around in Lagos, rather in Nigeria as a whole, a good number of people are coming home to have IVF done successfully here and with good results. Bridge clinic, Lily, Georges Memorial Medical etc. I'd suggest you check their website and contact them for arrangements that's suitable for you.

Surrogacy etc are also computed and adequate arrangements made as well. I hear that if you need sperm cells of a white man, if thats the preference, that can be collected and sent on request.

This my story. I guess most married men have 2 sources of income, theirs and the wife's. I know some proud men who don't ask for what she brings to the table. However their home is arranged, it works for them. Both contributions, go in the direction of a project or towards urgent needs for the family...

I digress, I'm the sole breadwinner so everything comes by me. That my wife isn't contributing is a story of another day. I do 2 jobs which barely meet the needs of the home.

I leave the house before my children wake up and they're in bed by the time I return. Who knows that feeling that you're missing out on a part of your children's lives?

I was involved in 2 motorcycle accidents just trying to shuttle between both places of work. I had to make a choice, change this or get crippled doing so. I just couldn't continue like this...


So I started thinking about looking for another source of income that can meet the challenges I was facing. One that would afford me the time to be home and make enough bread for the children with enough to spare for me and the wife.

One that won't further distance me from my family and friends.

For those who have taken time to look this over, I hope this will be of benefit to you even more...

There's a balance to eating and our daily movement or activity, that determines whether we continue to get bigger or really start losing weight permanently. The problem then for most and the reason for a 1000 and 1 books and write up is because of the cost of one drug or food type, time or stress to prepare or even exercise.

Not to mention, likely as a result of all the fasting and skipping meals, there's that sharp and painful chest pain which when it starts, is as if their enemy is going to die.

If you've read through the other articles or books or even the above, to motivate yourself to get up to start is a headache in its own. I must confess though, that's where the journey starts o...

If you mean to get there, all well and good. But it starts with the determination, your MINDSET. You can, only if you think so.

I mentioned the issue between eating and keeping the weight off. That's actually between healthy eating habits and regular and appropriate exercise or exertion to keep all the calories (that's just the energy values of the meals) off...

All that English, just means BALANCE. This is usually where most of the problem lies. You fast or skip meals in hope there's weight loss, but the meals eaten or snacks only end up maintaining or increasing the weight.

Therefore, there needs to be a change in the diet, to a healthy one. That way the weight gain from eating is slower..., while the exercise continues to keep the weight off steadily.

Lastly but not least, this is a journey not travelled alone. Friends and family should or encouraged to help, by reminding you, escorting you and encourage you should you trip up. (if that happens more than 2x, you've made it clear you're not ready then). Also seeing your doctor for follow up and regular check up remains imperative...

I couldn't read all the responses and I don't know if my point hasn't been already mentioned. I'm also sure you have noticed the responses on this platform make jest of a serious issue like your marriage.

Therefore, here's my little two-pence from a doctor's table. There's something called gambling addiction. It will take a lot of help from YOU, his friends, and his extended family to get him out. That's the essential social support group, even as everyone gets him to see a doctor get him to see what he's destroying...

Not just his home, but the life of his wife and children. Perchance, he will see reason, otherwise, he might be medicated... Of course, you know that is another problem on its own.

An addict doesn't care what's destroyed, because he/she has no insight into what's happening, how it's affecting his social life, his work life, not to mention his matrimonial home. I suggest you get as much help as you can on this challenge before you.

Family and friends who have had your back in the past will have their loyalty tested now.

I suggest you get your pastor on board

Get your side of the family involved too. No one can do this, running alone

Lastly, you women know when, and how to talk to your husbands to get what you want. This is not the time to stop, but the time to keep at it.

PS: as long as he's not physically assaulting you, or that you're suffering any form of abuse, this is the period when your affection will be tested.

He has to come out of this by seeing the problems he's obsessed with gambling is costing him. Loss of respect, loss of dignity, shame, and we're it not for the fact that he has a wife with him now, he would have been an outcast.

I'm sure there are support groups for this kind of thing but they're very few and far to reach. I'll look for a phone number you can contact.

I hope you're encouraged even if for a little bit.

●women are concerned because of how they look. they're concerned because they don't feel sexy and attractive to the opposite sex and their spouses

●for men sometimes weight gain affects their performance in bed.

●some people have gained so much weight they know that is causing problems for relations and friends, who have to carry them around and take them to the hospital so they begin to get worried

these are just a few, but from a medical perspective, you can see the challenges that fat ( I'm sorry, I don't like using the word fat, its labeling or tagging people, but prefer using the word OBESE) people go through as a result of their weight.

so what causes weight gain?

●gaining weight can be genetic

●it can be a result of taking medications

●be as a result of a mental health problem

●It can still be in response to abuse ( which may be mental physical or emotional abuse)

●interestingly weight gain can be a result of growing old

●The poor habit id skipping meals

so having seen these few points, I know you are eager to get to the meat of the matter which is how to lose weight effectively and keep it off permanently. I'll be honest with you there's no shortcut to keep weight off, because what it requires is a lot of commitment to start, and a ton of determination to do so.

PS: it's a lifestyle change, requiring continuous deliberate effort every day every time

meaning, it's going to require a complete overhauling of the diet, and eating habits as well as a lifestyle change

there are already a lot of fitness gurus and weight loss experts in the social media space saying so many different things, approaches, and fancy diet plans. Just a quick one. How long has this been? The growth, I mean? It seems the growth is not on the nail bed itself.

Any pains? It looks like it's been making the wearing of cover shoes a bit difficult or impossible until's removed or clipped off.

Any discharge? Any discoloration of the toenail? Has the toenail removed itself or did you remove it?

Lastly, what medications have you used, if any?

Hello.

So sorry about the fears you're having. It's uncommon for someone to randomly have a hepatitis C test done and gets positive result outright, and they're given 3 days off.

The test is ordered for and when found positive during a routine screening like yours, you should be referred to a doctor to address the matter immediately. I'd suggest you go to a proper hospital where you can get that crosschecked.

I'll be quite surprised if it's hepatitis C again that's positive. If any of the hepatitides is positive, after all.

What I'm saying is, there are some features that individuals with such a condition present with. But if I have to say anything at all, you were fine until you went for the screening exercise, where you were told of your result.

You have done the test and it's negative except for that particular center, that's very suspicious. Go to a government hospital to get that checked.

Just a quick one. Was a bit surprised when you mentioned 'palpitations', because for a gym person that is a not a frequent occurrence. Therefore the need to clarify when, how or the instance you noticed it.

Someone suggested stress or even elevated blood pressure. That's good. However, for someone who gyms, neither blood pressure or stress should affect you so.

Therefore, going to see your doctor would be the ideal way to check that there's nothing else the matter. Are there headaches, occasional tiredness, or blurring of vision? When was the last time you saw your doctor?

Few days ago i visited a friendly medical attendant to carry out a test concerning sugar content in my blood 'cause diabetes is now killing peeps more than AIDS, when the result came out, it shows that i have a high sugar content in my blood. Apart from reducing the way i consume carbohydrate and sugar, how can i reduce the sugar content in my blood? Thank you.

I'm glad you're taking action about your health. Unfortunately, you're going about it sincerely wrong. I would suggest you visit a proper hospital for a medical check up. A comprehensive one.

This will likely be expensive. But is there a price on health? See a doctor to explain you you about your health.

That said, the little 2 pence I can offer here is this...

Have you been urinating frequently?
Have you been eating too much and you're still losing weight?
Have you been drinking water a lot as well?

If not, and this was just to do a check, that the blood value was high at that time may not qualify for elevated sugar. The other question is, what time was the test done? The true test is done in the morning before breakfast.

Lastly, you went to see a health attendant. I guess the anxiety you are getting is as a result of the ignorance on the part of the attendant who didn't know any better.

I'm sure you're a bit wiser now.

Everyone has sugar in the blood. The degree or value is controlled in the body by insulin produced by a special gland called the pancreas.

When this control becomes inadequate or the body becomes unresponsive to it, the level or value of sugar rises excessively. It then causes the problems associated with the disease state, diabetes.

1st and foremost, it doesn't present 'everywhere'. It commonly presents as a polyp and then due to the pressure of clothing or dressing, it flattens over the affected area.

There are various types of the virus responsible for warts described because of its location. The type that's the most lethal is that responsible for cancer in women. Now there are vaccines which when given, prevents exposure to that type or strain of the virus. For those who haven't received it, get to any immunisation center across the country. If they don't have it, they will describe how to get it to you. It's expensive for now. We hope it will become free in the nearest future.

For the warts, depending on its type of presentation, it does not appear 'everywhere', the PODOPHYLIN application with a course of medication will suffice.

It has challenges to treat it if you come in late, because it maybe bigger or wider, covering a larger area of the penis or lips of the vagina. So obviously there are other problems, which develops as a result of the area it affects and so on.

Genital warts are as a result of a STD. Not to waste much time and sound like other people who have said so much.
