1. Not advisable. Proving that your generous uncle would leave you and everyone directly related to him to sponsor someone that just married into your family is not that straight forward and your application should be as simple as possible. 2. If you arrive Australia on student visa, you can transition to 491/190 without problem and you won't be the first. However, submitting 2 application at the same time isn't advisable. stevepeter2100: |

What was submitted are scholarship document, employment reference and payslips, Aussie bank statement, family OSHC, COE, police character certificate (wasn't required but we had it, so it was uploaded), GTE, school enrollment for school aged child, passport data page. Nothing was notarized as all documents are easily verifiable Lushbaby: 1 Like |

Your agent is right about your OSHC starting a month earlier for visa purpose. After you arrive Australia, it'd be adjusted to the date of arrival. You should pay and apply for your visa asap because September is just 2 months away and if you noticed timeline lately, it takes about 8 weeks or more. You don't need the agent to apply for visa after your admission. Best of luck. Okattamgbee: |

Ctemi:Agents are used according to your country of residence not necessarily origin. E.g. if you are residing in Ghana on Nigeria passport, then you'll need agents in Ghana. Therefore, your brother can use any agent in Nigeria. To determine agent, go with the list provided by the university, then look up the agents to determine what works for you. |

Hello Guys, Speak to your agent and university to advise you on next line of action. In some instance, you'd need to get another COE and upload accordingly. Secondly, go through documents you submitted to ensure you submitted everything according to the checklist for your university. Don't get discouraged, it'd end in praise. |

Ctemi: Masters in what? Why not start by using Google and come back here with more specific questions. Each institution you or your brother is applying to will have list of agents and you can only know this if you have decided on a course and institution. |

OvaSabi1: IDP isn't charging students because they get paid by institutions and it has nothing to do with their speed. The agents will only forward your application to the institutions and the processing time depends on the institution not the agents. 1 Like 1 Share |

Sylvyangel: You'd be responsible for your application and if any university requires you to certify documents, they'd not do it for you. Other agents will include that as part of their services but some of them charge unreasonable fees from students. In all, do your research, get necessary documents, start your application early. It's worth the cost (ie free). 1 Like |

lookingfly: Firstly, this is not the right section for your question. Secondly, you misunderstood ACU reason for denying you admission. The denial letter you posted stated that they don't believe you can meet GTE and financial requirements for DHA to issue you visa and they are denying you admission based on those two (ie. GTE and finance) Finally, rewrite your GTE and keep in mind that the financial requirement is usually minimum of 1 year tuition fees and living expenses for most universities. Read DHA requirements for subclass 500 visa to get clearer understanding of why ACU denied you admission. Don't give up. |

I wish to share my testimony to the glory of God and benefit of everyone expecting theirs. Landed: 5th November Grant date: 13th October Medical: 12th September Biometric: 7th September Application date: 5th September There was no additional document request as documentation was straight forward because I’m on research scholarship. I received my COE towards the end of August and my agent said that I can’t meet the November resumption date due to visa processing timeline and advised that I should defer my admission to next intake. I decided to disregard the agent’s advice because most of what the agent said including documents required to lodge visa application was not in tandem with the information on DHA website. I lodged my application myself and will advise anyone that have time constraint to consider completing the application themselves because it’s very long. I used the checklist on DHA website to gather supporting documents and didn't submit IELTS or bank statement. I flew Qatar airways at the end of the day but I made the mistake of using the so called online ticketing agents to book my flight ticket initially due to high cost of tickets to Australia at the time I booked. I ended up losing USD 2k to kiwi.com and had to buy another ticket from the airline directly after my lost. Please, always do your research and don’t depend on information from any agent. The DHA website have all the necessary for information. Buy your tickets from the airlines directly to avoid stories that touch. If you are carrying food items, ensure that it’s processed (ie blend and dry). I packed mine in ziplock bags and they were clearly labeled. To everyone hoping and praying, God will make it happen for you. 5 Likes |
