First you have to check if you are eligible to apply as a Federal Skilled Worker (You will likely be). Use this link:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/English/immigrate/skilled/apply-factors.asp

If you are eligible, then you will have to go through provincial nominations as you will not be able to get ITA directly due to your age. Both of you will lose minimum of 50 CRS points due to age.
Getting provincial nominations is another issue as most of the provinces have very stringent conditions you will have to meet to qualify.

@ Dupsy. Thanks for your response. We are qualified through the assessment. But pls can I have your contact? Like we have a child currently studying in one of the university in Canada. Pls I just need someone to talk too.

Well I applied for my brother and family last year but I didn't remember their first son had clocked 15 and needed to do biometrics so we had drop boxed everyone's application a week after we submitted they returned everyone's passport with visa and held back his and asked him to come in and do his biometrics. Just giving you a personal experience.
@bbaby84. Thanks for your response. Pls I will like to speak with you further on this drop box issue. Kindly send me mail on Lola.fadahunsi@yahoo.co.uk I will appreciate your response. Thanks.

Travel / Re: Nigerians Frustrated At The Nigerian Embassy In Canada by Mrsfad2014: 10:32pm On May 24, 2015
Sad indeed! I have seen it all in the U.S too. They behave like animals when you go to Nigerian embassies in the U.S and Canada. My sister in Canada went from Ontario to Ottawa four times before she got her passport renewed.

My friend went for appointment in Atlanta, Georgia for an appointment but when he got there there was no one to attend to him. He met Nigerians at the embassy drinking beer like it is beer parlor. They also invited him to join them.

There was also a case of a Nigerian in Washington D.C who sent his passport for renewal but when they sent a passport back, it was someone else American passport that was snet to him with Nigerian visa on it.

Nigeria is a mess from top to the bottom. The country needs a shake down, home and abroad.

Hello everyone, pls I need help here. 2 years ago my family was given American visa and now we want to renew the visa through drop box but I read from the eligibility page that you are not eligible if you are upto 14 years old after your last application. One of my sons clocked 14 in April. Should we do drop box together or we apply without him and latter do appearance application him?

. I am currently using Reddington. They will be giving me my records when I am about to travel. Don't know how detailed it will be though.
@ MamaTobenna, I used Reddington Ikeja and they are very good. I chops Dr Balogun and when I mentioned my travelling to him, he prepared my medical report in an extensive way and wrote a perfect fit to fly letter for me. Even when I get to US the Ob/gyn told me that he has done majority of the work.

@supamom, i flew Emirates to DFW in May. Journey of life but enjoyable. There was dubaiconnect and I even visited the gold souk. Also, the great part coming back was that I paid only 61 dollars for the infant ticket. I just called their US centre to book. DFW is also one of the few places you can do a tax refund (though only half gets returned)
@ effectbaby. Do you mean tax refund on goods bought like we used to get in UK? If so that's lovely

A million thanks, i called the office to book an appiontment and possibly get an email sent to her to confirm this appointment,so that she can have a document to show them at POE as body of proff ,but they refused the email request, she also asked for Dr Abass's email add so that she can send him a mail, but they refused.maybe i will advice her to pay doctoresparati $150 and get a letter from them for this purpose, abi watin una advice?
@Babatwi, I was in their office when you called because I heard all your conversation with them @about 10am time here in Dallas. I will not advise you use doctores letter at the embassy because I noticed that people are being denied with his document. My advise is that you get in touch with Dr Fagbohun, he uses Oakbend hospital in Richmond or Jeanie Hyunh of WHMC, they will reply your mail and those documents will be useful for you at the embassy.

Pls help a friend with hospitals in Dallas and OB/GYN.Thanks.
@ babe16. Am currently in Dallas, I flew inn over a week now and Av been searching for hospital and obgyn. Today I had my first visit in Dr Dennis Abbas office who usually delivers at Doctor's Hospital, white lake. He charges $2400 and hospital is about $3000 for normal delivery. The doctors charge include all the tests and sonogram. Like I am a rhesus negative and they are not charging extra fee for my anti d Rogan injection. You can google him and make your decision.

Congratulations on the successful POE experience. Please how far gone are you now and how close was the date of your fit to fly report that you showed the airline? smiley
@fowopere. I flew @30 weeks cos my tummy is big. I was delayed at our own airport because they tot am due already. My fit to fly came from Reddington Ikeja and they had to call the doctor to confirm the weeks again. The date on it was 7th Nov and I used it on 9th Nov.
@Mamatobena, I would advise you walk into their office at the airport 72hours before your departure and they will book your seat till you last destination. The hours is long and you will definitely need a better seat. I also noticed that the set of people that boarded from London are very tall with long legs so they actually pay extra to get those seats.

Hi everyone, am reporting live from Dallas. I boarded BA enroute London to Dallas. Before travelling I went to BA office in the airport to book for a comfortable seat which I got. We landed in London on time, waited for 5 hours and then boarded plan to Dallas. Whao 10 hours non stop, it wasn't funny at all. Although the hostess are very nice, am the only preggy and the only black in the plane. We landed in Dallas and immediately I entered a rest room, brush my teeth, wear makeup, added some perfume and change my top to a nice sparkling white maternity top and put on a snickers. Off I head towards the office at the POE
Officer: Hi, are you here on business or holiday
Me: No, am here to have my baby
Officer: Move back a little, let me see you well
Me: Smile
Officer: Who will pay to your medicals
Me: Myself. I have $9,500 + £200 +N2,500
Officer: Do you have document?
Me: I almost ask, is it letter from embassy or doctors correspondence or letter of consent from hubby or what document. ( which one be over sabi sef) I just brought out correspondence with Dr Fagbohun and gave to him
Officer: Ok, place your four fingers here
And he stamped me in for 6 months. On my way out, I lady stopped me and ask how much do I have on me. I told her same thing + some coins which I don't know how to count. She asked for the coins not the money itself and she counted and said it about $5. She later ask if I have food items and I told her that I have golden morn and Honeywell wheat meal. She said am free to go and wish me safe delivery. I give God all the glory

@petme, I guess the first officer is in a bad mood but we thank God for everything. I remember reading on the earlier posts of this thread where a lady categorically mentioned redirecting flights and how its been working for people. My question is that: my POE is Dallas but the address of where am going is Houston, will there be suspicious question on why I enter thru Dallas not Houston? Or do I need to get another address of somewhere in Dallas to fill at the POE. Thanks in advance.

@ damsel. Congratulation for safe delivery. pls can you advise on where to stay in Richmond? especially somewhere closer to Dr Fagbohun.
damsel020:
All thanks to God and the great people of this thread. Am finally home with my son just 3weeks after birth. I used doctor fagbohun and I had a wonderful birthing experience at oakbend hospital.
Doctor bill= 1920
Initial vist= 150
Ultrasound =150
Lab work= 550
Pathology me and my baby= 63
Epidural = 850
Hospital fee = 2150

As for document, I got d birth certificate from Fort Bend County Richmond after a week for $23, got his passport at Houston passport agency and collected same day for $165, and applied for Nigeria visa which I received back d next day and zoom I changed my ticket and am off.
And for those having issues with delta airline and baby's ticket, I called them. them a week before departure to book baby's ticket and they told me $458, I gave them my card details to remove d fee, fortunately that was not done, on getting to d airport in Houston I was practically begging he lady to collect the money and she said am not owing that infant has been added to my ticket and dat I did myself online. I sha left for Atlanta o, when I got to the boarding gate they asked for my infant ticket, confusion starts, had to go back all the way to the help desk to clear d issue, those ones said am yet to pay, they called and told me am to pay $132.10 I thought I didn't hear well, I gave him d money all for him to tell me it's a mistake that my fee is $458, but I can go cos have been standing here for so long. I was jumping for d miracle, I met anoda naija mum there trying to also pay for baby's ticket, my people the woman no pay she was giving them different drama of no money, they delayed her but immediately d flight was ready to leave they released her, so dats anoda style.....Am willing to help any Houston bound mum with there questions, my little way of giving back to this wonderful family.

@ Leonessaug. Thanks for the sincere information. I will be due early Jan but will like to travel by Oct. I have been so confused on which hospital to use, ranging from one doctor to the other. Initially i planned to useWHMC but accomodation is nothing to write home about. It ranges from $1700 - $2000 per month also Dr La is asking for $3400 non negotiable fee. With all this, i want to settle for Phoenix, with Leonessaug testimony. Kindly help me with hospital, Doctor and accommodation. All advise will be appreciated.

Well a general custom as u said that am not aware of besides the mail addy isn't mine as a matter of fact. Or what you are insinuating is everyone coming here for the first time must be here to get info on delivery process and not to give info.

and it will interest you to know I had my baby earlier this year in Dallas and going through the trend, discovered most question is on accommodation and hospital which I was fortunate to get an accommodation inclusive of transportation and feeding and was very hospitable. $1250 before delivery for 4weeks and $1400 after delivery for 4weeks which will then depend on how long you intend staying. I didn't pay a dine till I got there and I was picked up at the airport. I Can paste the contact number here if anyone is in need of it. Also I made use of JPS hospital. They have a total package of $6000.
@ Twizzie. Kindly paste the contact. I will really appreciate it

Kween2014: @ Beebee and folusho, I will also be travelling early October to Houston. Using whmc and Dr La, would also wanna hook up. Maybe we can form a bbm group or something. Just thinking.
@folusho,kween & beebee. Hooking up will be the best. This will really help all of us. Personally, Av not settled for Dr La because i believe his fee is just too expensive and also the extended stay apartment that is closer to WHMC is something else, after reading the reviews i decided to change my mind. Will appreciate if anyone can help with apartment around there.
