Programming / Re: Aspiring Data Scientist. by MrStrategy(m): 11:51am On Nov 06, 2018
mikezuruki:
Hello Everyone,

I only came out here to beg for favours from every python programmer or any programmer here.

I really want to learn how to code--any language. I'm really serious about it.

If anyone would be kind enough to tutor me even via whatsapp, I would be really grateful.
P.S. it's for free please.

Good day everyone.
My advice for upcoming python programmers is to take the first steps yourself by starting today. Download an app called Sololearn, install it on your phone and immerse yourself in it. Sololearn will teach you the basics of Python. Fortunately it also teaches several other programming languages (like JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SQL, C++, PHP, Swift, Ruby, etc) and it's a very good starting point for beginners. The app on Play Store has an amazing 4.8 stars from over 200k reviews, millions of programmers use it around the world and there are helpful communities, forums challenges, etc to inspire your growth.

Next if you truly want to delve into data science like the topic of the post specifies, I suggest you login to www.kaggle.com and follow their 40-hour data science course. It may be hard and tough for a beginner but there is nothing like engagement with real life examples (later you can do further research to deepen your learning). Everywhere around the world www.kaggle.com is known to be the main place where data scientists gather to show their skills and experiences. Your goal should be to attempt some competitions while learning.

Next you have to go online and enroll for the free Coursera Machine Learning Course by Coursera co-founder Andrew Ng. This course will take you back to some things you may have come across in Kaggle but this time from a foundational perspective and your knowledge of the subject will deepen. At this point you can join the online Python community and grow from there.

I hope you found this helpful.

Properties / Juicy Virgin Land Sponsorship @ibeju-lekki: 30 Plots Of Land For Just N4m (pics) by MrStrategy(m): 5:25pm On Nov 11, 2015
If you are interested in long-term (and sometimes mid-term) investments then REAL ESTATE will be your best option. Usually people buy and hold land until the value appreciates but there has been a system of partnership with land owners where an investor helps the family/community who own the land process their land papers in exchange for land rewards known as LAND SPONSORSHIP.

Land Sponsorship is very authentic and for every 1 acre of land involved, the family will give you 1 plot of land as compensation. The only reason you may just be hearing of it is because many sponsors who have benefitted from it keep doing it again and again in other to amass several portions of land for future profitable sale.

We currently have over 50 acres of virgin land at Origo Rigo, at the Lekki Free-Trade Zone Road, Ibeju-Lekki (few kilometers after Dangote Refinery & 500m away from the express). Our clients are eager to survey, layout and register this land at Alausa, Ikeja and are desperately seeking a sponsor for their land application. The cost of the entire process is N4m. Once completed, the family will release to us 50 plots of land and 60% of it all (30 plots) will go to you.

Most of the land around it have been acquired and fenced in preparation for development. Completely registered plots of land around this one cost over N1m. Now, because it has not been processed, you will be getting the land for an average of N133k each (THIS IS EXTREMELY CHEAP).

NB: I was told from trusted insiders that the said land would likely exceed the estimated 50 acres. In that case it means you will likely get more plots of land as the sponsor.

IN THE PICTURE, YOU CAN SEE THE LAND IS NOT SWAMPY, AND IT STRETCHES FROM WHERE I WAS STANDING AND EXTENDS BEYOND THE LAST PALM TREES YOU CAN SEE IN THE PICTURE.

CALL ME NOW if you are interested, 08034954566. THANKS!

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: 10 Tough Questions Google, Apple, Others Ask In Interviews by MrStrategy(m): 6:12pm On Aug 05, 2014
Olucheye: 1 If you were given a box of pencils, list 10 things you could do with them that are not their traditional use.

1. Use it to Turn a traditional radio cassette.
2. Chop into small pieces, to be used spot markers
3. Remove the graphite in it and use it a lubricant for my lab machine or key lock as the need may arise.
4. Use to fix stubborn zip on my clothes.
5.open things sealed up in plaStic... Like a 5alive seal.
6. Put it in a ruler that has a hole on it and spin like we use to do in primary school. Helicopter of life, chief boredom savior.
7. Play drums and make music/noise.
8. The eraser could clean any corrections.
9. Would also serve as a makeshift ruler in times of desperate need. E.g plotting a graph... Axis X & Y.
10. A deadly weapon. For example, stabbing either the Carotid artery(ies) or jugular vein(s)

2. How would you solve problems if you were from Mars?
If I was from Mars, problems on earth will be alien to me, hence the need to go into explorative research to determine cause, effects, and proffered solution.

On a lighter note, I'd wake up from my dream and stop imagining if I was from Mars. It's certain already that in this life, i will never be from Mars...I'm already an earthling!

3. What's the most creative way you can break a clock?

Remove the battery or knock out the engine cold.It will still tell the right time twice everyday.

4. A disc is spinning on a spindle, and you don't know which way. You are given a set of pins. Describe how you would use them to determine which way the disc is spinning.

Drop the base of the pin first on the disk, the direction which the tip of the pin fall towards is the backward direction while the base will point forward.

5. You have a bag of with "N" number of strings. At random, you pull out a string's end. You pull out another string end and you tie the two together. You repeat this until there are no loose ends left to pull out of the bag. What is the expected number of loops?

Number of Loops = N/2 - X(string's end)

Mathematicians, kindly help.

6. You want to design a phone for deaf people — how do you do it?

It'll only have only a vibrat*r (which one is romance machine again Seun) and a compatible screen, then a software that coverts all voice calls to text on his phone.
2. Phone will come with a real or virtual keyboard to reply both voice and texts all in form of messages.
3. Each notifications will vibrate to notify him/her of all alerts

7. How would you design an elevator?

Traditional styled with a couple of extra designs such as being opaque to people on the outside for privacy, music while you ride it on high rise buildings, fresh air vent for occupants from people who fart while riding.

8. Why should we not hire you?

I hate being stereotypical. Hence, if the offered job position isn't going to offer me challenges that will afford me developmental and mental growth via deep thoughts and adept research, I'll get weary and bored which consequentially will impede my productivity and contributions as a staff.

9. How do you compute the collision of two moving spheres? Give me both the mathematical equations for the solution as well as an algorithmic implementation.

Sorry, I'm a graduate of the college of Medicine.
But I think it should be somewhat related to recoil speed.
If you remember Okeke Physics.

10. Name as many Microsoft products as you can.

Word, PowerPoint, Excel, spreadsheet, windows 97, 98, Vista, Windows 7, windows 8, internet explorer, Windows phone OS (Nokia Lumia Series) e.t.c

Permit me to add, I'm a fresh graduate who's actively seeking internship opportunities with Public health related NGO's but I'm not limited to that, as I'd appreciate any opportunity to put to active use my versatility in any organization. I'd appreciate any opportunity to prove myself.
Kindly send me a PM on NL if you've got any available opportunities.

Cheers!

Romance / Re: Should Parents Choose Partners For Their Children? by MrStrategy(m): 5:06pm On Nov 09, 2011
Parents should be involved in the process of making a choice of a marriage partner for their children BUT they should not have the sole responsibility. Choice of a spouse should be a joint effort with both parties working together to achieve an excellent result. The couple have to agree to get married to themselves. During tough times they will know they made the decision themselves. Guidance is also necessary from mentors or parents who would obviously guide the couple on ways to make the right choice.

I think the poll omitted the most important answer in the given alternatives: "It is a joint effort".

Sports / Suggestions For A Local Football Tournament by MrStrategy(m): 10:04pm On Aug 30, 2011
Hi everyone,
I'm really passionate about doing something to help the young talented footballers in my community.
I'm thinking of organizing a football tournament and putting up a modest price for the winning team.
I also want to recruit fresh talented players that will form a formidable team that should also compete in the tournament.
I believe if organized properly, the tournament will create bonding among several teams and bring fulfillment to many local players.

Now, the matter is that I would need your suggestions on:
[li] how best I can organize such a project;[/li]
[li] what things I should look out for;[/li]
[li] how to get sponsors;[/li]
[li] how to connect the talented players we discover to foreign or lucrative leagues;[/li]
[li] how the newly formed club can join in playing matches in Nigeria local league;[/li]
[li] any other recommendations you have.[/li]
I really believe this project can help many young players out there. And I trust you would have some suggestions that can make this a great success.
Please share your ideas.
Thanks.
Romance / Re: In Search Of Love by MrStrategy(m): 5:35pm On Aug 11, 2011
@Demmyk
this is not the way to find true love.
you are just hunting for any lady that will fall into the trap of coincidence with you.

If you are really seeking for a true life-partner,
then you must seek in the right place,
you must be willing to invest time and real effort to win the lady of your dreams.
You will also have to become the charming young man that will fit the image of her dream man.

Eg, if you are looking for a vitreous Bible-believing sister,
you have to be a committed member (for life) in a Bible-believing church that grooms such ladies.
You then have to set out to build friendship ties with more and more ladies
gradually you will see a suitable range of options to choose from.
That is when you can begin to get deeper in the relationship.

Apply these steps and you are more likely to get the woman of your dreams
than just wishing for a miraculous mystery call.
Career / Re: Should Parents Dictate Their Children's Career? by MrStrategy(m): 3:14pm On Aug 11, 2011
No.

Parents should observe their children properly.
From birth, the idiosyncrasies of their children can point to their areas of strength.
It is the duty of the parent to guide their children from a tender age through the process of choosing a career by suggesting a suitable range of options. Parents should also make learn aids or practical opportunities where their children can begin to get exposed to what they'll be doing for the rest of their lives.

The final decision should be made by the children themselves and parents should encourage them to be the best they can ever become.

Phones / Re: MTN PayGo? by MrStrategy(m): 11:59am On Jan 20, 2011
The MTN PayGo is expected to be an improvement.
HappyLink should be better than Xtra Connect since it included the bonus of N30 daily when you recieve over 5mins call.
PayGo should be better than HappyLink since:
1. Tariff to Family & Friends is cheaper (N12/min vs N15/min).
2. Family & Friends includes 1 number to any other local network.
3. Family & Friends includes 1 international number (to US or Canada).

Please do well to experiment on the new MTN PayGo and tell us what you think.
Phones / Re: MTN PayGo? by MrStrategy(m): 9:50am On Jan 20, 2011
When you check your balance, you will find out that MTN has automatically migrated you to a new plan labelled PayGo (that's if you were on a plan that had family and friends enabled - I was on HappyLink).

The new plan alleges to charge just 20k/sec to 6 numbers of your choice: 4 MTN #s; 1 # on any network; and 1 international #.
To register the # of your choice, dial *560*1*number#. To delete dial *560*2*number#. To check your bonus account dial *559#.

Please confirm that all these things work well and post your findings.
Family / Re: Whose right is it to choose the Wedding location? by MrStrategy(m): 8:26pm On Jan 10, 2011
Q: Whose right is it to choose the Wedding location?
A: The man.

Q: Where should the traditional marriage (in Igboland hold)?
A: Bride's village.

Q: Where should the church wedding hold?
A: Groom decides.
But here are some considerations:
Marriage Covenant -- if you are very particular about the pastor to wed you or the denomination, etc then choose the church and location.
Cost/Logistics -- if you have a small budget then a location close to the bride's hometown would suffice. (But note that your mum and people back at home assume you are a multimillionaire, so they won't believe you.)
Equilibrium -- You may consider hosting it in your own town to enable due representation of your friends and family (the bride's people will saturate the traditional wedding).
Dialogue -- Listen to both families and properly assess their opinions, also explain comprehensively why you are making the decision you chose to make. (Be ready to also back this up with money, it answers all things.)
Eventually, the ball is in your court, make the decision and be responsible for it.

ENOUGH OF THIS CHURCH-BATTERING POSTS!
WHO IS BENEFITING FROM POSTS LIKE THIS?
GOD OR THE DEVIL?

STOP CRITICIZING CHURCHES AND PASTORS.
IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT TO SAY, THEN SHUT UP!
Religion / Re: Church Gate Fee: Pastors Condemn Oyakhilome by MrStrategy(m): 7:51pm On Jan 10, 2011

BE WARNED:
If you do not know what to say,
if you are not a member of the church
if you do not know why the money was collected,
then keep your mouths shut.

What right has anyone (anointed or not)
to pull down the work of God.
Is the church divided against itself?
Has this Pastor criticized your life or church?

If you have a case against anyone, the Bible commands that settle the matter with the person first.
Do convict yourselves as murderers by back-biting against God's anointed.
Muslims also have issues within themselves but they handle them respectably and away from public embarrassments.

Luk 17:1 - 2 "Then said he unto the disciples, It is impossible but that offences will come: but woe [unto him], through whom they come! It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones. "

Mat 18:14 - 17 "Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish.
Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.
But if he will not hear [thee, then] take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.
And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell [it] unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican. "
