Fashion / Re: Have A Wig? How Do You Feel With A Wig? by mrsxudoh(f): 10:07am On May 06, 2011 |
I wore a variety of wigs for a period of 10 years. Mainly because I thought I ought to protect my hair form the hash weather of Europe. Wigs are good in the following respects i. Glamour at very little cost. Make up on, hair down, wig on & hey presto u ready for anything. ii. Better time management in the morning when getting ready for work. The downside are as follows: i. Total ruin of one's hair after constant use. My hair has thinned out by as much as 80%. This is no exaggeration. ii. High cost of restoring hair loss I am now receiving hair treatment. Which I am told could last for as long as five years. Part of the treatment consists of no weaves, attachments etc! My current enormous problem is how I will face the world without my glam wigs. |
Fashion / Re: Which People Are More Fashionable, europeans, brits Or The Americans? by mrsxudoh(f): 11:45am On May 05, 2011 |
Definitely Nigerian ladies are the most fashionable! I am always amazed at how much effort Nigerian ladies put into looking good. And we look good at whatever budget we set for ourselves. I was watching the royal wedding and could not help wondering how glamorous (headties, jewellery etc) this would have been if this were a Naija wedding! 1 minute Breakdown Americans - Only the celebrity stars seem to make an effort. General population seem to be more comfortable in casualwear. I even see corporate people wearing trainers on Wall Street! OMG, Brits - No fashion sense at all. Sorry, the truth must be said. All you need to do is board a tube train in London during the rush hour and count the number of fashion conscious ladies in a given car. Less than two out of 30 on a good morning. Gospel truth. Europeans - Italian, Spanish & French ladies do make a concerted effort. They do tend to walk round with little fortunes (iro designer labels) on their backs, round their feet and on their arms. Nigerians ladies - Always look no matter what the budget is - LOW, MEDIUM or HIGH. Of course I am biased. Abi? |

Business / African Ready To Wear by mrsxudoh(f): 3:03pm On Mar 31, 2011 |
Hi, Fashion conscious ladies who live outside of Africa AND will like to wear authentic African outfits. You are needed for a marketing survey. Please answer each question 1. Will you consider buying a ready to wear African outfit for yourself? 2. Will you buy a ready to wear outfit as a present for someone? 3. What is the maximum price (any currency) that you will consider paying for a ready to wear lady's outfit? 4. If you will not consider buying an African outfit - why? Please precede each answer with the question number. Many thanks for your time. |
