The use of granite is a very good one...it helped me after spending 2 hours with about 10 men trying to push out my car. A guy walked in and said the people were too much for the job! He suggested we use granite; and that was the perfect solution that day.

Brand_new: Lesson learnt...stop buying used BB phones. smiley
I quite agree with you on this. We should stop buying used items, not only phones, especially those sold by hawkers on the roads. Some of these guys are criminals. This said businessman will now have to pay "real money" to get out of this hook, that is if he is actually innocent.

Please, be very careful. 99.9 % of these stories are lies. If he love you and want's to help, he should do just that, then when you start getting salary you can give him the said money. I wish you all the best in your search.

Nigerians full London, in fact, we full ground for Stratford, but the way the ticket is, its hard to get. They were sold by lottery a long time ago. You bid, so its luck. Except we get other people selling their own tickets, we may not get in to most matches. And these tickets are expensive. I found ticket for women 100m final for £295. Thats almost 75,000 naira for one small corner of the stadium, where I may not even see the race clearly.

Bros, abeg watch the thing for tv and send the money home.... grin grin grin

Crime / Re: Man Arraigned For Duping Girlfriend Of N400,000 by musajohn80: 10:11am On Jul 28, 2012
It's possible the guy has being duped and could not really convince her since there was no physical contact with the person connecting them to US embassy. If he really wanted to decieve her he would have made arrangement with someone to pose as the agent rather than taking her to lagos and back without seeing the said aunty.
Politics / Re: Abati Sidelined? : Doyin Okupe Hired As SSA Public Afairs by musajohn80: 9:46am On Jul 27, 2012
Is this not thesame Doyin Okupe that OBJ fired unannounced because of some "funny" acts of his? I hope GEJ is not taking irrational decision because of his wife? If he wants to change Abati, why not chop for another replacement. We have capable guys who can deliver, must it be thesame old recycled criminals?....SMH for Nigeria...God will help us!
Romance / Re: Issues With Dating Ladies In Early Twenties... by musajohn80: 3:47am On Jul 27, 2012
@OP, If you are in for immediate marriage it may be very difficult to get a girl of that age bracket. They tend to love guys who have no plans for marriage. The thought of getting "hooked" to a man for ever frightens them like "HIV attack". That is the more reason they hang out with their mates, thinking life will be fun all the way, but when they get to 25+ the young guys would have all disappeared, because most guys at 25 will be faced with trying to sort out their life after school and wont be ready to hear anything marriage. I personally experienced having so much pretty "chicks" way back in school but after service em boyz ben-johnson go dey hustle and all the girls rearranged their lives with other men. I believe it's just a cycle with few exceptions!
Travel / Re: Boarding A Plane For The First Time (Your Experience) by musajohn80: 5:07am On Jul 26, 2012
My first time of taking flight was in 2006, while heading out of naija from ph enroute lagos for a course. I had an agent at the airport so getting a baording pass wasn't much of a stress. When I got into the flight "I think Virgin Nigeria", I had to pose cos I had already put the seat belt on without any help. Omo! when it was time for refreshment I fumbled, cos I could not get the tray down!A guy whom I later got to know was a senior colleague in the company where I worked then helped out with a smile, saying your first time? I just nodded with all the initial posing gone...lol

This woman seems to be a good woman since no one has being able to pin point what she did wrong. She has being the one exposing all the corrupt people. In Nigeria when you are new in a place and refuse to do business as usual everyone in your work place turn's against you and that is exactly what she is facing right now, or how can all the directors say she is bad?impossible!! This is just a case of gang up. Madam Oteh, please go back and cleanse SEC for Nigerians.

Career / Re: Highest Paid Professionals And Most Lucrative Profession In Nigeria by musajohn80: 5:51am On Jul 15, 2012
If you talk of good and legitimate money, you give it to the engineers and scientist in the oil and gas industry. Some guys earn as much as 1000 to 2000 USD ( 160k to 320k Naira) per day consulting! Once you are experienced you can never be jobless unless you are no longer fit to work. Though, it is very difficult to get a job at entry level.
Career / Re: Wearing Jeans And Shirt To Corporate Meetings And Interviews. How Reasonable?. by musajohn80: 5:31am On Jul 15, 2012
I personally believe you must not wear suit to all interviews, but you must not also be casual. A good combination of neat long sleeve shirt and trouser will do for must interviews ( not sure of banks), this give's comfort and show a huge sense of confidence. It has always worked for me though, even when I got my job at entry level and I asked a friend to do this recently and he got the job.
Career / Re: Post Graduate In Geology Department For A 3rd Class Grad, University Of Ibadan by musajohn80: 5:16am On Jul 15, 2012
As a 3rd Class holder, all you will be offered is PGD in Geology, you cannot specialize in any area of Geology for now. You will only specialize when you finish your PGD program successfully and apply for MSc. ( NB:I did not go to Ibadan but believe this is what is obtainable in all Nigeria universities). I wish you all the best.

Education / Re: UNILAG/MAU Students Block 3rd-Mainland-Bridge by musajohn80: 11:33pm On May 30, 2012
These students should go and read their books and forget about this issue of changing the name of the school from UNILAG. Who cares about the name of any school in Nigeria. What matters is whether you are good academically or not.Gone are the days people get jobs with school name. Now you only get job if you are academically sound or connected. All graduates from Nigeria are rated the same outside the country, you just have to prove you are good.I know alot of guys who stayed unduly at home in other to enter schools with big names. They ended up wasting some years because after graduation if you are not connected you have to prove you are good to get a job.Anyway, students will always be students. In my time we also rioted for some reasons and when i flash back I just smile cos some of those reasons we rioted were really not worth the trouble.
