KRIS KROSS star CHRIS 'MAC DADDY' KELLY died of a suspected drug overdose, according to police investigating the rapper's passing.

Music mogul Jermaine Dupri, who discovered Kris Kross in 1990 when the boys were performing in an Atlanta shopping mall, has also written a heartfelt tribute to Kelly, describing him as "a son I never had".

He writes, "To the world, Chris was Mac Daddy, but to me, he was a son I never had. As much as you think I taught him, he taught me...
