My husband had no problem about my career and would never. He says he is in support of whatever makes me happy. He supports me a lot. I even went back on set after my first child was just one month old; it was for the movie, “Day Break”. He goes to the market. I don’t and he doesn’t mind doing that. He is my number one fan. He watches my movies like a critic. The only scene he is not enthusiastic about is the romantic scene. But I got to do what I have to do.

You finally relocated to Nigeria with your son after the death of your mother and divorce in 2001. How did you pull through these trying moments?

A: Work. I threw myself into making Body Enhancement Foundation the global brand it is now. I was also blessed to spend time with my father before he died four years later. That was a tremendous loss to me because I was a daddy’s girl. I am much closer to the men in my life than women. Of course, with love and support from my son, friends and family, we all got through the rough times together.



-Every pioneer faces many challenges in whatever sector they break new grounds. Cosmetic surgery is till date still considered controversial by some people, how did you pull through those years in a specialized medical service when you are not a doctor?

A: It’s part of human nature to strive to evolve. I’m in the dream profession already. Let’s just say I’m at the precipice of it. Everything about the media fascinates and intrigues me. So I’m setting myself up to be a media mogul and key influencer in the media sector, that’s if I don’t pack up my stuff and head to some 3rd world country doing volunteer philanthropic work that truly enriches lives, especially the lives of women and children. Embarrassing moment on radio

A fan on radio, who’s been calling all the time, he probably had built an image of me in his head, you know how people tend to attach a personality or body type to a voice. So this fan came to see me all the way from Port Harcourt, and guess the first thing he said to me when he saw me? The shock on his face made me think I peed my pants. ” You are chubby! He exclaimed. And I burst out laughing( lol). Oh my! I laughed so hard. I didn’t know whether to take that as a compliment or otherwise. Lol. So I said, what did you think? It was so funny at the time. But fast forward to that time we became friends, and he’s still very much an avid fan.

Comedy

I worked with a lot of comedians, under the tutelage of my Boss Yaw, and of course I have Igos my colleague, he’s also a standup comedian. I’ve encountered and had sustained exchanges with so many comedians over the years, so that was a huge part of honing the comical skills I know I’ve always had.
