Art, Graphics & Video / Simple Ways Of Making A Documentary More Impactful by MynaijaReality(m): 5:57pm On Jul 28, 2016
As a documentary filmmaker, it's your job to tell a
story. Just because it is a documentary, doesn't
mean it has to be boring, or lack any of the
cinematic techniques employed by traditional
narrative filmmakers. So whenever you are
shooting a documentary-style project, look for
ways to tell the story as if it were a scripted
narrative.

Here are five ways in which I go about doing that.
Know the story: during the pre-production phase, I
learn all I can about the story I plan to tell. Whether
it’s a corporate promotional film, or a personal
profile, I get as much information as I can about the
people, places, and events related to the film.

Create a shot list: as much as possible I determine
ahead of time the shots I want to get to tell the
visual story I want to tell. Naturally a big part of
what I plan to shoot will be based on sound bites I
get during the interviews. But the more I know up
front what I will be shooting, the more shots I can
plan ahead of time.

Shoot it like a script: in much of the work I do, I’m
NOT a journalistic filmmaker, capturing events as
they happen, like an ENG news shooter might.

Usually I’m directing the “talent” (i.e. employees,
interview subjects, etc) and doing minimum
production design (even if it’s just rearranging
someone’s office to make it look just right). Where
appropriate and whenever possible I also get good
coverage (e.g. wide, medium and close up shots of
the same “scene”; opposing angle shots; etc.)

Mind the metaphorical: my favorite kind of narrative
storytelling is metaphorical or allegorical imagery
similar to the Nooma examples I gave above. Where
I have the opportunity to shoot narrative scenes
that have no literal connection to the soundbites, but
have the strong emotional resonance.

Music is key: when I get to the editing process, I
put a lot of time into finding the right music. Music
has almost as much influence in eliciting emotional
responses to a film as the visuals do.

Art, Graphics & Video / 8 Tips You Should Know Before Buying Your Digital Camera by MynaijaReality(m): 2:04pm On Jul 06, 2016
Purchasing a camera is a big deal, so we want to help. Below are just a few things to take into consideration before dropping loads of cash on something you will be using for quite a while.
There Are Quite A Few Different Types Of Digital Cameras

Here are a few current different types of cameras that you can purchase:

Point-and-shoots
Megazooms
Mirrorless
DSLRs

Point-and-shoots are the most basic of digital cameras, and to be honest, your smartphone may be as good as or better than some of these. However, if you are looking for something that’s purely a camera and not an electronic multi-tool, then have at it. They are great for those of you who know nothing about cameras and aren’t willing to learn (which isn’t a bad thing), and they mostly make use of automatic operations like auto-focusing, automatic white balancing, and auto-exposure.
The next step up from point-and-shoots are megazooms, and while they may offer better picture and a closer zoom (I’d say anything above 10x), the internal components basically the same. These types of cameras primarily run on aforementioned automatic functions, and their current incarnation were actually developed as a challenge to the whole smartphone-versus-point-and-shoot issue. Their key feature is the zoom, and that’s something most smartphones are absolutely pitiful at. Price-wise, things will typically be just under $500.
If size (or budget) still matters, compact megazooms can be purchased for under $350, and they are somewhat like a hybrid of the classic point-and-shoot and the megazoom. Their zoom won’t be as powerful, but they can still be used for events like concerts and shows.

Mirrorless cameras are on the rise as the next generation of semi-professional cameras, but they still are in the early stages of development. As of right now, these cameras will allow you to enter the world of lenses and quite a few manual operations. Comparatively speaking, these lenses are starting to be quite popular, and even some pros are using them. You will be able to get a decent mirrorless camera for around $600.

DSLRs are riding the wave of current top digital cameras, and they come in a couple of flavors. Entry-level DSLRs (like the current set of mirrorless bodies) start from around $600 and come with less features than the pro-level DSLRs, which are definitely pricier. You are paying for the camera body rather than the lens, and also mostly to have manual features as opposed to automatic ones. The picture quality is top-notch in the hands of someone who knows what they are doing, and you will likely end up paying more for lenses than the camera itself.

Your Purpose Is Important
Before you go out and buy a really fancy camera, you really should take into consideration why you’re getting it. Do you want it to shoot bands at concerts? Family gatherings? Scenery while on vacation? Professional photo shoots? Headshots for actors? All of this is really important.
Most of you who are reading this may very well want a point-and-shoot or even a megazoom, and this is likely for your standard all-around usage. If you don’t plan on touching the manual controls too much and would rather the camera run on auto-pilot, this is also be a good justification. It all comes down to one thing: control. Do you want to drive manual or automatic? It’s simple, really.
On the other hand, those of you who want more control and have the expertise may actually want something without the training wheels. Look for the ability to control your ISO, capture modes, number of megapixels, the ability to shoot RAW (which allows for more control during post-processing), and image stabilization. Basically, you will want as much control as possible, so do your research and compare camera models to see which one will best satiate your power-hungry heart.
You Don’t Need A Big Camera

I say this mostly in a light-hearted manner, but you don’t need a big camera. This can be said for professionals too.
So do your research. Compare the final products of multiple cameras, and see how things check out. You should be more passionate about how the image looks than how the camera looks.
Granted, you must occasionally sacrifice some features for size. For instance, a compact camera may fit in your shirt pocket, but you won’t have control over the lens and other manual operations. Chances are that the image quality won’t be as good either due to a lower resolution, a cheaper lens, and a sensor that won’t do as well in low-light. On the other hand, a camera that allows for interchangeable lenses and manual operations will allow you to have more control over the picture, but it will – sometimes because of the lens alone – be a “big camera”.
Lenses Are Important

I could write an entirely different article about lenses, but do not, I repeat, do notthink that a lens is just a lens. With point-and-shoots and megazooms, you don’t have much say in the matter. But with mirrorless cameras and DSLRs, lenses areeverything. Lenses are all different, and it actually goes beyond their focal length and aperture. It even has to do with the quality of the glass and the image it produces, and for a more complex explanation of lenses.
Your lens preference will depend on your image taste, so I honestly can’t help you out here. All I can say is to immerse yourself in the world of lenses and try as many as you can. Don’t limit yourself to justNikon and Canon. For instance, you could test out Zeiss, Rokinon, Sigma, Tamron, etc. Basically, get out there and take a look at what the world has to offer.
If you are absolutely set on your camera brand, get yourself a decent camera body and spend more on the lens. Lenses last forever while camera bodies are constantly changing. Granted, this is only if you are truly set on the manufacturer. Different lenses come with different mounts (i.e. a MFT lens won’t fit on a EF camera), so it’s best to think ahead of time. Furthermore, lenses built for cropped sensors won’t exactly work for full-frame sensors, so you need to think ahead as well for this.
If you are just getting started, I would recommend purchasing a camera body with a kit lens while renting lenses when you have to. This will let you get a feel for things and see if you should make any changes.
Always Try Before You Buy

As with lenses, try as many cameras as you can before you get set on buying one. You could visit your local camera shop or even ask a friend to borrow one for a day. This prevents buyer’s remorse and allows you to test things before you actually end up committing yourself. It will also educate you as a buyer.
While you’re at the store (or borrowing), check the build on the camera. Does it seem cheap? Too plastic-y? If you can sacrifice a cheap build to save a little cash, then that’s your prerogative. I’ve done it before, so it’s no big deal. Furthermore, see how much control you have over the images. Browse the menus and see how many options you’re offered. Is there a button for each feature for quick access, or do you have to dig through the menus to get to each and every little thing?
Furthermore, if you are purchasing a camera with a fixed lens (rather than interchangeable ones), compare the clarity of each one you try. Does the image seem soft? How sharp are the features on your subject?
Renting Is An Option

Going right along with trying before you buy, you can actually rent cameras and lenses for a discounted rate. If you have the cash, you can visit your local camera rental shop, or test things out by using LensRentals or BorrowLenses if you don’t have anything local. Sometimes renting isn’t worth it based on your budget, but depending on your situation, they might be.
Your Phone Can Work

Last but not least, check yourself before you decide you need a camera. What you need may actually be right in front of you in the form of your smartphone. Many people I know have opted to use their phone rather than purchase a camera, so try and see if this applies to you. Depending on the situation, a smartphone can work just as well as a camera.

Then again, your smartphone may not offer some of the “flashy features” that cameras have. For instance, there’s GPS-tracking, and this can help you mark down where exactly you took a photo for later reference. Then there’s the ability to connect to WiFi by these cameras. What this means is you can sometimes offload videos onto a hard drive while shooting, or you can use your smartphone with the camera to control settings from the palm of your hand using a specialized app.
Conclusion

Honestly, I hope that this article has helped you, and for those of you who know a bit about cameras, I welcome you to add onto what I said here. Realistically, we can’t provide you with everything you need to know about how to use a camera. I mean, there are university majors for that, and people are paying thousands of dollars each year just to make that happen. However, we can help you pick out the right one.
What other things should you consider when buying a camera? What else would you like to know?

Nairaland / General / Nigerian Student Assaulted By A White Man,booted Out From Donald Trump Rally by MynaijaReality(m): 2:06pm On Mar 17, 2016
A Nigerian East Carolina University student, Adedayo Adeniyi was verbally and physically assaulted by a white man at a Donald Trump rally last Wednesday after he was targeted and thrown out for being black, New York Daily News, reports

20-year-old Adeniyi decided to attend the Donald Trump rally in Fayetteville, N.C. not as a protester or demonstrator, but out of curiosity.

"I was there just to watch and experience the surreal moment of someone like Trump running for president and speaking to thousands of people," he told the Daily News.

Without saying a single word during the entire event, Adeniyi was randomly targeted and thrown out of the event by police as seen and heard on video he recorded.

"At first I refused to leave because it was all just a product of being black at a Trump rally. Basically in that environment I'm guilty by association. But common sense told me to just listen to the cops and move along," Adeniyi recalled.

On his cellphone video Adeniyi, being told he has to leave, can be heard saying:
"Whoa. Whoa. Whoa. That's not me, that's them. I don't even know them. What? I don't even know them. I don't even know them"

The visibly shocked student reluctantly complied and was escorted down the stairs by the police.

"What happened next caused me to lose faith in America. The man at the end of the video is a moment I'll never forget," said Adeniyi.

One of Trump's supporters, a middle aged white man, looked him directly in the face and said, "F--k you, F--k you," right before slapping Adeniyi in the face.

"The hate in his eyes. The words. The hate in those words. The slap. It was disgusting and sad. At that moment I believed that America will stay and continue to be a hateful and bigoted country,"

"These are presidential candidate rallies. Not a KKK rally. The fact that I experienced hate at a candidate rally tells you everything you need to know about Donald Trump and the people that support him. People will act more hateful and racist in environments that they feel not only encouraged to do it, but accept it as normal," he added.

Meanwhile the man who assaulted Adeniyi has been identified as Jason Wilton Wetzel (pictured is his mugshot and a screenshot from the video recorded by Adeniyi) seems to have shown some remorse.

"I can’t believe I did that. It was me, but I’m not a hateful man. I just got caught up. When I saw the video all over the news of me doing that to that young man, I was just disgusted with myself." said Mr Wetzel, who confirmed to the Daily News that it was him seen physically and verbally assaulting a Adeniyi.

Investigators said Wetzel, 70, moved to North Carolina from Georgia when his job with the military was transferred to Fort Bragg. According to detectives, Wetzel is accused of voting in both states in the 2012 primary and general elections as well as voting in both states in 2014.

"I have no criminal background," Adeniyi told The News. "This man does. So please explain to me who the real thug is. A young black man who is a junior in college majoring in medical laboratory science and who also happens to hold many leadership positions there? Or is it this man, with a criminal background who attacked me for no reason?"

Reached by phone Monday, Wetzel claimed that it was indeed him on the video, but said:

"I’m not a racist or hateful, I just got caught up. I can’t explain it. I want to apologize to this young man and maybe take him out to dinner or something."

Nairaland / General / 'yellow Fever' Removes Driver's Teeth Over N50 Bribe by MynaijaReality(m): 1:58pm On Mar 17, 2016
A traffic warden, popularly called 'Yellow Fever', identified as Sunday Charles, showed that he could match a stubborn motorist fist for fist when he engaged the driver in a fight at the Omole bus stop on Oba Ogunnusi Road in the Ojodu area of Lagos State, and in the end, he knocked off three teeth in the driver's mouth.

According to eye witnesses, the cause of the fight was that the driver, identified as Kingsley, refused to part with the sum of N50 that the traffic wardens demanded from him and instead, engaged them in a fight.

It was learnt that the bus driven by Kingsley, was stopped by a team of traffic wardens at the junction, the usual demand was made for him to 'drop' the 'Roger' but he proved stubborn and he was allegedly beaten up by the team which ended in Charles removing his teeth.

Some passengers in the bus narrated that at about 11.30am, Charles, who was with three female officers and four officials of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, had stopped Kingsley’s vehicle at the junction and the traffic warden allegedly demanded N50 from the motorist before he could let him go.

Trouble, however started when Kingsley claimed that he had earlier given N50 to the warden, adding that he would not give him another until evening.

Charles, who allegedly insisted on collecting the money, was said to have dragged Kingsley down from the vehicle and punched him in the face, during which the motorist’s three teeth fell off.

Speaking on the assault, the driver said:

“I am a commercial driver. The warden stopped me about 8am and I gave him N50. So, I was surprised when he asked me again.

I was going towards Agidingbi Road when he stopped me. He demanded another N50. I refused, saying he should wait till evening. He dragged me from the bus and started punching him on my face.

My mouth started bleeding. I realised three of my front teeth had fallen off. So, I grabbed his uniform. People bundled him inside my vehicle and said I should take him to the police station.

His colleagues and LASTMA officials stood away during the altercation because he did not listen to them. I suspect the warden was drunk because of the way he dragged me from my vehicle.”

Religion / THE GRASSHOPPER MENTALITY By Afolabi Jisola by MynaijaReality(m): 1:41pm On Jan 21, 2016
The grasshopper is an insect that is not more than 1 to 7cm in length. It’s an insect that dwells in the grass.

From what is said above it is evident that the grasshopper is a relatively small insect and you can imagine when you say someone has the mentality of a grasshopper. This is the title of my discussion.

“The grasshopper mentality”

This life is known for just one thing and that is; life throws jabs and punches at people. Some gets heavy punch while some get fairly light punch. Some are not so lucky they get punched hard in the face or in the stomach. But in all what you think of yourself is what will determine your level of strength to fight back.
If you just sit there and say well this life is hard oo. Haha!! It’s just tossing me to different angles and you decide to just sit and watch, then you have the grasshopper mentality. Some are so scared of the future that they just don’t want to bother trying. They rather sit in a position and keep complaining about the difficulties and the challenges, they will sit in one spot and talk about how the government policies is not making things work and how the economy is disturbing their lives. They have not started the quest but they are already discouraged. When you are easily swayed and discouraged then you have the grasshopper mentality.

Due to so many circumstances some have lost the zeal to fight on. Some are already boxed into a corner; some don’t even see themselves as worth living not to talk of trying to make a head way in life.
The self esteem and self worth of so many are not encouraging.

Like the popular story in the bible about the Israelites in Numbers 13 from the first verse to the end you will find out how the grasshopper mentality can affect the destiny and the future of a person or group of persons or even a generation.

Imagine God brought the Israelites out of the land of bondage (Egypt) with a powerful hand and after they have journeyed for years... Remember the journey to the Promise Land was not supposed to last for more than 40 days but eventually they spent 40years roaming in the wilderness. Eventually they got closer to the Promise Land.

Before they went into the land, Moses gathered twelve men to go and spy the Promise Land. Before I move on everyone has the time of being in bondage and also the time of freedom. The time also to go into your Promise land but when you get to the gate of your Promise Land what do you want to see?, is it the challenges or the good that is in the land?.

When the 12 spies got into the Promise Land, they went through all the land and took note of how wonderful the land was. How it was green and flowing with milk and honey. But deep inside them, out of the twelve spies ten already had the mindset that the land was out of reach even when they have not tried. I can imagine the men discussing among themselves that “chai! See as all these people are tall ooo, hmmm if Moses self see these people he go know say we no fit fight these people”

Some of us leave the dance floor even when the music has not started.

But out of the 12 spies two people were singled out and they were Caleb and Joshua.

When they came back they said ha!! The land is actually flowing with milk and honey o!! The land is good for habitation BUT the people there are giants. If we go they will crush us like paper and throw us into the fire because we are just like grasshoppers before them.

So many people are living with series of BUT(s) that has kept them in perpetual bondage. Take a closer look at yourself and evaluate yourself. If you find out that you frequently make use of the word BUT, then you need to re-examine yourself because it’s a sign of the grasshopper mentality. You keep having excuses not to try something you need to look inward.

Numbers 13: 33 “And there we saw giants, the sons of Anak, which come out of the giants, and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers and so we were in their sight”.

Can you imagine? They saw themselves as grasshopper first before the sons of Anak saw them like grasshoppers. The lesson here is that how you see and portray yourself is the same way other people will portray you. If you see yourself as a grasshopper then others will see you in the same vain.

Another thing is when you let the fear of the unknown to weigh you down you will be like the grasshopper in the sight of your challenges. Challenges are meant to strengthen us and make us stronger and fearless. If you are not faced with challenges you cannot evaluate your strength and your weaknesses. If you easily chicken out of competition and challenges then you have the grasshopper mentality. And the dangerous part is that you will never succeed or achieve anything with such mentality.

Let’s take a look at Caleb and Joshua, they went with the other ten spies but they had a different report, they said though the land is filled with giants we can go ahead and take the land. You know what? They saw opportunities where others saw hindrances and challenges. If not for Caleb and Joshua am very sure the Israelite will still be in the wilderness till tomorrow. Their report was able to stare the Israelites up and they went ahead and claimed the land

What is the difference between the 10 spies and Caleb and Joshua? They had different mentality. One had the grasshopper mentality while the other had the achievers mentality.

The difference is:
One will achieve and the other won’t
One will succeed and the other won’t
One will try but the other will just sit in a spot for years because of fears of the giants in the Promise Land.

The truth is there is no Promise Land without its own giants, you just have to look past them and you will see the milk and honey flowing in the land

No matter what life throws at you try to doge it so you can peep and see the goodness in the land when you see it try as much as possible to get

Caleb and Joshua never knew if they could actually overcome the giants but they believed if they try they can, so try and don’t just fold your hands and accept defeat even when the battle has not started.

Discard the grasshopper mentality because it leads retrogression, limitation, stagnation, backwardness, abject poverty, failure and at the end sorrow but the achievers mentality will spur you to greater height, greater level of achievements, you will be limitless and you will succeed.

Thanks for your Time.

The young man (name withheld) according to witness just packed his car (Range Rover), jumped out and started tearing his clothes. In no time, he was totally undressed. Then he started moving around the main road of Lagos Island snapping with his iPhone 6 and a cardboard held in his hand.

Well, nobody can actually explain what befell him but it’s obviously not something natural. Few persons around the scene identified him as one of the prominent yahoo boys within the neighborhood.

Sports / Mikel Set For N1.7b Move Outside Chelsea by MynaijaReality(m): 10:38pm On Dec 16, 2015
Turkish club, Galatasaray are likely to sign Super Eagles and Chelsea mid-fielder, John Obi Mikel during the January transfer window.

The Turkish club are reported to have tabled $8.5m (about N1.7b) for Mikel who has featured in only nine games for the Premier League side, Chelsea, this season.

The arrival of Nemanja Matic cost the Nigerian international his midfield position and was not really in Jose Mourinho’s plans last season where he managed just six starts in a League Chelsea won.

Vanguard reports that according to Turkish outlet Takvim, Galatasaray are trying to seal the deal with the 28-year-old player in the coming days.

Also, fellow Turkish side Besiktas have also shown interest in the Nigerian player; as club president, Fikret Oman, admitting it is still possible for them to get him.

“We were ready to sign Mikel last summer. And we could enter the race again over the winter break,” Oman said.

However, Mikel’s current deal with the London club will expire in 2017 but there are chances Chelsea may not renew his contract which Galatasaray wants to take advantage of.

Politics / APC Assures That Fayose Will Not Escape Justice by MynaijaReality(m): 10:25pm On Dec 16, 2015
APC says the election of Ayodele Fayose is the biggest fraud in Nigeria's history.

APC Publicity Secretary, Taiwo Olatunbosun said the Governor should tell Nigerians and the international community what he meant in the Ekiti poll fraud tape where he said he collected INEC soft copies.

Reacting to Governor Ayodele Fayose’s allegations that the All Progressives Congress (APC) plans to illegally use the Supreme Court to upturn his mandate, the party accused the Governor of blackmail, describing his election as the biggest electoral fraud in Nigeria's history.

In a statement released on Wednesday, Dec. 16, by the APC Publicity Secretary, Taiwo Olatunbosun, the party said Fayose's pre-emptive tactics is to draw the the support of the international community to legitimise fraud.

“Even though the international community declared that Ekiti poll that produced Fayose was fair, the same world leaders have since changed their position after listening to Ekiti poll fraud tape as secretly recorded by Captain Sagir Koli detailing how Fayose and PDP leaders rigged the election, including Fayose himself talking in the tape how he collected INEC soft copies and got them printed to win the election,” the statement said.

Olatunbosun added that Fayose, who abuses President Muhammadu Buhari regularly, is running away from his shadow after failed bids to beg the Commader-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.

“Why did Fayose try to pressurize members of the Military Panel to rescue him? After his emissaries returned empty-handed in their failed bids to achieve their aims, Fayose has now resorted to blackmail, accusing the President of trying to destroy democracy and we wonder who among him and the President is the enemy of democracy.

“This is the man that sacked the court and beat up a judge. This is a man that used seven members to impeach a Speaker and closed the House of Assembly against 19 members of the Assembly for six months. This is a man that ran all opposition politicians out of town during elections and launched relentless attacks on opposition candidates during election,” APC spokesman said.

He said the Governor should tell Nigerians and the international community what he meant in the Ekiti poll fraud tape where he said he collected INEC soft copies that he printed to win his election.
Olatunbosun said: “Besides declaring in the tape that he collected INEC soft copies that he printed, Fayose also said in the tape that a collation was done days before the election in Efon-Alaye and we want to ask whether Efon-Alaye was the collation centre for Ekiti governorship election and whether it is not a fraud to collate the result of an election that had not been held.

“If a criminal case that is taken to court and the court assumes jurisdiction to try that criminal case is what Fayose would call illegality and destruction of democracy, is it printing INEC soft copies and collation of results days to the election that is legal and a boost to the practice of democracy in Nigeria?”

APC assures that Fayose will not escape justice no matter how much he tries to blackmail the party.

Hello peeps, i need your help on this. This is way past my understanding...

Good day everyone, am Annabel (pseudo name) am the only child of my mother. I was raised alone by my single mum. She broke up with my dad when I was 8 years old. Am 25 years old now and I still live with my mother.

My mother has been harassing my boyfriends sexually for a while unknown to me. I have been dropped by two serious guys that have promised to marry me without any serious reasons for doing so.

I have been bothered thinking it’s a spiritual thing. My mother will always tell me they are not the right person and the right one will eventually come around.

The whole truth behind my ordeal came to the opening recently. Am dating a young man in his early 30’s and we love each other dearly. We have started talking about marriage and he wants me to come and meet his parent. He showers me with affection and buys me gift at every little opportunity. I have been faithful to him.

Nairaland / General / Apple Staff Told Black Students ‘we’re Worried You Might Steal Something’ by MynaijaReality(m): 1:20pm On Nov 12, 2015
Can you imagine the insult??

An Apple staff member has come under fire for appearing to force six black teenagers from the store over fears they would ‘steal something’.

The technology company has been branded ‘racist’ after the footage of the exchange was posted on Twitter and was ‘retweeted’ thousands of times.

The video shows two of the teens exchanging words with the Apple employee at the entrance of the store, at the popular Highpoint Shopping Centre in Melbourne, Australia on Tuesday.

The male staff member is heard saying: ‘These guys are just a bit worried about your presence in our store. They’re just a bit worried you might steal something.’

Clearly shocked, the boys respond saying: ‘Why would we steal something?’ to which the staff member replies: ‘Guys, end of discussion. I need to ask you to leave our store.’

The students appear to continue to question their treatment after the video clip ends.

Speaking to news agency Fairfax Media, Mabior Ater said: ‘I’ve been coming to Highpoint for a long time and I never thought something like this would happen. Of course, I’m offended.’

People have responded to the video with anger and are calling it ‘disgusting’.

According to the local newspaper The Age, the students’ school principal Nick Scott accompanied the six boys to the Apple store to get an apology.

Mabior said: ‘She apologised to us and told us that we are welcome here anytime. It feels like we have justice now.’

A spokeswoman from Apple told the newspaper it was investigating what happened and provided a quote from Apple CEO Tim Cook saying they are committed to ‘equality for everyone, regardless of race, age, gender, gender identity, ethnicity, religion, or sexual orientation.’

Politics / (ekiti Airport Project) Right Project At The Wrong Time by MynaijaReality(m): 9:08am On Oct 06, 2015
A concerned Ekiti citizen has this to say about the proposed airport project by Fasoye led government.

Read his comment after the cut...

"Concerning Ekiti, to talk like somebody going to heaven the issue of airport is a useless project for now. I don't need a professor from Harvard to tell me this. It is a good thing to have airport but for now it is not necessary.

Humanly, Fayose is trying but this airport I do not support it. Many roads that link streets together are terrible, drainages are bad, some streets have no transformers, pensioners are not fully paid etc so,why airport for now. So without airports investors wont come when we have airports in the neighboring state?.

This same mistake Fayemi made when he built govt house. The govt house is good but useless at that time. If at all it will be built, it should be spread for period of at least 10yrs so as not to affect people.

The elders are not helping matter at all. Many times they support what they should not. I ask do they know what is called poverty?, people are suffering. Nigeria is a country where political office holders think that allocations is for them and can be spent anyhow. This mentality is very wrong. The money belongs to everybody and all have the right to question any political office holders. things must not continue like this.

Buhari is trying but the person that will knock sense into the heads of Nigerian politicians may still be in secondary school".
