NNAMDI KANU SACKS LAWYERS FOR SPEAKING AGAINST NIGER DELTA AVENGERS  AND MISLEADING  THE PUBLIC OVER NEGOTIATIONS WITH GOVERNMENT
 
Following the press conference earlier today by our legal team, the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Worldwide has been reliably and incontrovertibly informed that some of the utterances of their defence lawyers were made without consultation. These utterances border on negotiations and some were against the Niger Delta Avengers. As  as a result of this unsolicited and unguarded utterances, the defence team has been sacked and will be replaced. The IPOB leader wishes to state categorically that the only thing we are open to is negotiations that will lead to modalities and processes to restore Biafra and avert further hardships on the people of Nigeria who have been under bondage since his kidnapping and illegal detention.

Buhari Implementing ISIS Ideology?

In an article published in The New York Times in the last quarter of 2014 and serialized in several other publications, Major General Micheal K. Nagata, the Special Operations commander for the United States in the Middle East while making confidential comments, admitted that he had hardly begun figuring out the Islamic State’s appeal. “We have not defeated the idea,’’ he said. ‘’We do not even understand the ISIS idea/ideology before now.’’

In the past years, President Obama has referred to the Islamic State, variously, as ‘’not Islamic’’. Statement that reflected CONFUSION about the group, and have contributed to significant strategic errors about seeking to end the great harm that the group posed to humanity earlier.

It’s in seeking to end the confusion about the initial errors about the ideology of ISIS (its aim, mission and ambition) that led to Major General Nagata outlining these Ideologies. This incidentally formed the basis of the extensive investigation and research carried out by PETE HOEKSTRA who incidentally is a senior fellow at the Investigative Project on Terrorism in Washington DC. The investigation by Hoekstra culminated in him warning in an article published recently in Wall Street Journal that ‘’BUHARI IS NIGERIA’s PROBLEM, NOT ITS SOLUTION’’

This timely warning according to a credible source at the Investigative Project on Terrorism is based on overwhelming evidences that Buhari’s government is implementing ISIS ideology in Nigeria. A country that prides itself as being a secular state.

IPOB jubilates in Onitsha as FG releases detained members

ONITSHA – Fresh hope, Thursday rose for members of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB as the federal government of Nigeria, through the Attorney-General and Minister of Justice released all their members who were arrested by various security agencies in Aba, Abia state, during their prayer rally in February, this year and clamped into detention camps and prison custody.

Consequently, the release of their members threw the IPOB members into jubilation in various parts of Onitsha, Anambra state, although the jubilation did not take place publicly as they did when a court granted their leader, Nnamdi Kanu bail, sometime last year.

In a press statement issued to newsmen Thursday in Onitsha, IPOB’s Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful who confirmed that their members have been released, said all IPOB members worldwide under the leadership of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the Director of Radio Biafra were commending the Attorney-General of the Federation, AGF and all those who have common sense to understand that all those arrested in Aba must be released.

Powerful contended that the release of their members was a good omen since the plight of IPOB is only for the restoration of Biafra and not to take over the rulership of Nigeria from the incumbent Muhammadu Buhari-led Nigerian government officials.

Basketmouth apologizes over attack on Goodluck Jonathan

Veteran Nigerian comedian, Basketmouth, has withdrawn his statement on the state of the nation, apologizing to former president, Goodluck Jonathan for disrespecting him.

In his last Instagram post, the comedian debunked rumors that he was one of the advocates for the emergence of Buhari’s administration.

He aired his stance on his alleged involvement in politics.

He said he never campaigned for President Buhari or any other politician (including former president, Jonathan).

THE Minister of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Chief Audu Ogbeh yesterday revealed that the present economic crunch and near recession currently ravaging the country was created during the regime of former  military President Gen. Ibrahim Babangida.

The minister who was speaking in a special town hall meeting organized by the Ministry of Information in Collaboration with The Alumni Association of The National Institute (AANI) in Abuja maintained that the present economic woes could be traced back to the Structural Adjustment Programme (SAP) introduced during the administration of Babangida.
Ogbeh further declared that government is aware of the degree of hardship that is ravaging the country and is working on a progressive and sustainable path to ensure that the economy recovers as soon as possible.
He said, “We have heard of terrible stories of parent using their children as collateral for food without intending to get them back. All these we heard. The present situation didn’t just happened, it was bound to come and I can say it is dated back to 1986 when we adopted the Structural Adjustment Programme (SAP), Ogbeh insisted.
Taking his audience through the memory lane, he explained that although many right thinking Nigerians and crack economists were opposed to the adoption of SAP, the IBB government paid deaf ear to all explanations, insisted and foisted SAP on Nigerians to cushion the effect of the International Monetary Fund, IMF loan which he had earlier obtained and the consequent devaluation of the naira upon which the loan was granted by the Fund.
Ogbeh disclosed that while other developing countries like Indian and Malaysia rejected the move, it is evident that they are better for it as they have become food sufficient nations and industrial tigers while Nigeria is still heavily food and technology dependent and spends as much as $20bn annually on food importation.
However, Ogbeh said that on assumption of office, the Muhammadu Buhari government met a lot of defective policies and challlenges from the previous administration, saying that government decided to deepen and change some of these policies so that the economy will regenerate.
In the agricultural sector, the minister said that government has invested heavily in agriculture through procurement of improved seedlings and through subsidy on fertilizer so that there will be improved yield while adding that government is committed to the establishment of ranches to improve meat and milk yields from cows as well as eliminate farmers and herdsmen persistent clashes.
He said, “We are about to restructure the Bank of Agriculture, every farmer would be a shareholder, we want to bring the interest rate to as close to 5% because we have to decide what we eat, people would criticize us for that, but that is what they do in Europe, there is no European country where interest rate are higher than 3.5%. to Agriculture.
 “We embarked on the new soil map of this country, which has produced new blend of fertilizer; I want to ask everyone of you here never ever to go to your farm and apply MPK 15, 15, 16 no piece of soil in this country can absorb it, you are destroying the soil and diminishing your yield. It would soon be published in a booklet for every Nigeria to have the kind of fertilizer suitable for all crops in all state of the Federation”.
