The typical Man Utd will score first, lose the game, and still collect injury. I don't expect anything more from them, but I hope they disappoint my expectations.

A dog can smell fear so it attacks.
Trump is unpredictable. He took out IGRC commander, the defacto No 2 in Iran. He shut down funding to UNRWA and to PA. The enemy does not know what he will do next.
Terrorists are very cowardly people. Have you heard of the Houthis attacking any other ship after their port was attacked.

Trump is a manbaby. Predictable is all he is.

He takes credit for other's accomplishments, spreads lies and propaganda, and refuses to concede elections he lost because of his fragile ego.

He grew up with underlings kissing his behind and has conned a portion of the populace (the dumb ones) into following suit.

You think Iran fears Trump? Ha! Biggest joke of the century. Trump who an immature gun-loving Maga brat almost took out?! Lol! Iran is wary only of NATO. Know that and know peace.

The only people who fear Trump are the Republican lawmakers who are seeking reelection. They want his endorsement and will call him a messiah if that's what it'll take to get it.

Nigeria would be blessed to have a president like Joe Biden. Tilumbu is another Trump, albeit a more primitive one.

Why are Americans still held hostage by Hamas?
I bet my two testicles that if Trump wins, all those hostages will be released immediately. You don't condone bullies.
Remember Iran released Americam hostages as soon as Reagan won? Remember how he bombed Qadafi tent?
Peace through strength.

Lol at immediately.

Trump is nothing but a frail old man with a big mouth. It's stunning how many people believe he would wave a magic wand on day 1 (of an new tenure he probably won't get), and the world would bow.

Which strength? You think Trump can weild the powers of the executive branch as good as Biden did? Never!

Paul Whelan was arrested in Russia in 2018 when Trump was president. Why didn't he save the former marine? Because all he has is mouth.

Strength isn't making noise on social media. Unlike his predecessor, Biden gets things done and gives credit where it's due.

Foreign Affairs / U.S. Recognizes Maduro’s Rival As Winner Of Venezuelan Election by N2B2: 2:15am On Aug 02

U.S. Recognizes Maduro’s Rival as Winner of Venezuelan Election
By Julie Turkewitz | The New York Times

The United States on Thursday night recognized Venezuela’s opposition presidential candidate, Edmundo González, as the winner of the country’s disputed presidential election.

The announcement, by Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken, comes despite a claim by the country’s authoritarian president, Nicolás Maduro, and by the government-controlled electoral body, that Mr. Maduro won the vote.

Mr. Maduro has yet to produce clear evidence of a victory, and election officials have failed to provide a vote count. Mr. González campaign says that it has receipts from more than 80 percent of voting machines that indicate that he won the election by an insurmountable margin.

Mr. Blinken, in a statement, said that “given the overwhelming evidence, it is clear to the United States and, most importantly, to the Venezuelan people that Edmundo González Urrutia won the most votes in Venezuela’s” presidential election on Sunday.

“We congratulate Edmundo González Urrutia on his successful campaign,” Mr. Blinken continued. “Now is the time for the Venezuelan parties to begin discussions on a respectful, peaceful transition in accordance with Venezuelan electoral law.”

The announcement is sure to anger Mr. Maduro, who has been in power since 2013, tightening his grip by arresting dissidents, cracking down on protests and tilting elections in his favor.

The candidacy of Mr. González, who is backed by a popular opposition leader, María Corina Machado, represented the most significant electoral threat to Mr. Maduro’s power since he took office.

Business / Binance: Nigerian Govt Lied About $10 Billion Fine, We Won’t Pay If Asked by N2B2: 5:46pm On Mar 01
The People's Gazette — Binance Holdings Ltd said on Friday that it was not in any talks with the Nigerian government about potentially paying up to $10 billion in fines, contradicting a government spokesman’s statement to the BBC hours earlier.

“We recently discussed ways to resolve issues with Nigeria, but we did not hear any demand for $10 billion,” a Binance official told Peoples Gazette shortly after the BBC said Bayo Onanuga purportedly announced the enormous penalties.

The Cayman Islands-based cryptocurrency giant said it was not in the mood to discuss paying the Nigerian government either to restore its services that were cut off recently or free its executives being held over alleged involvement in purported manipulation that led to the rapid collapse of the naira and associate consequences for historic inflation and poverty in Nigeria.

“Our aim is to chart a good relationship with the government and the people of Nigeria. We want to see our services restored in Nigeria very soon, but we have no intention of paying fines for personnel or services,” Binance added.

Asked for comments about Binance’s position, Mr Onanuga said his statement to the BBC was misrepresented in the media, noting that he never said the company had been informed or that the fine had been concluded by Nigerian regulators.

“I said our government may impose heavy fines on Binance for what happened,” Mr Onanuga told The Gazette. “I never said Binance had been informed about the fines or that it would definitely be $10 billion.”

“I only said the amount may be imposed, which is because nothing has been finalised yet,” Mr Onanuga said, placing repeated emphasis on the uncertainties around the fines.

Mr Onanuga, a media aide to President Bola Tinubu, had accused the cryptocurrency platform of aiding those fixing the Nigerian exchange rate to sabotage the economy.

“Binance platform harbours people who fix the exchange rate which quickly affects the Nigerian economy for the time when Nigeria is trying to stabilize the economy,” Mr Onanuga told BBC.

“The platform fixes the exchange rate for the country and it is an illegal rate. The CBN is the only authority that can fix the exchange rate for the country,” he added.

The latest controversy with Binance came months after the Nigerian government made similarly false claims about its negotiations with the United Arab Emirates to resolve yearslong travel restrictions.

Following a bilateral discussion in Abu Dhabi, Nigerian officials falsely announced a deal had been reached that would see the Emirati authorities lift visa restrictions for Nigerians and allow its main carrier, Emirates, to resume Nigeria operations without preconditions.

The statement was promptly found to be false, complicating the talks and effectively rendering the multibillion-naira consultations fruitless.

Citing Financial Times, Peoples Gazette reported earlier this week that Nuhu Ribadu, the national security adviser, detained two Binance officials invited into the country by the country. The officials were also pressured to disclose a list of Nigerians on their platform. It was unclear what efforts Binance has activated to free its personnel, who were believed to have made trips to Nigeria under the last administration without raucuous.

Mr Onanuga, however, said detained “Binance staff cooperated with the government to provide information.”

Over the past week, federal authorities had clamped down on cryptocurrency platforms, raiding bureau de change operators nationwide in a bid to starve off the further decline of the national currency.

Olayemi Cardoso, Central Bank of Nigeria governor, had on Tuesday said over $26 billion passed through Binance in the past one year on Tuesday at the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) meeting in Abuja

Last week, Binance confirmed it was working with Tinubu-led to block dollar-naira trading on the platform. In the same week, the government block Binance website to Nigeria users

On Wednesday, Binance disabled its peer-to-peer function for Nigerian users. Peer-to-peer function, popularly known as P2P, allows users, buyers and sellers to trade without third-party interference.

With the disabling of the P2P function for Nigerian users, Nigerians might no longer trade on Binance.

At this point, it is very very very very clear that these people are very very very very clueless. This is what you get when you bring in relics as leaders. Is Nigeria the only country using Binance? How can anyone who isn't a slowpoke claim Binance is a sophisticated heist against the economy? Your borrowings, your cost of governance, your unapologetic pilfering of public funds aren't all against the economy but na Binance that's has no physical office in the country, used by hundreds of millions worldwide in hundreds of countries that is a heist against the economy?? How is this any different from what Buharia did by banning crypto??

I didn't campaign for the job, I am not being paid for the job neither am I qualified for the job but arleast the little knowledge I have is enough to know that this is foolishness. I don't expect an imbe.cile to know that

Banks are used for money laundering. BDCs are used for money laundering. Gold traders and miners are used for money laundering. They've Even being using petrol stations and real estate to launder money and these days they use FCCMG businesses to launder money. Do almost all politicians and public office holders not have dollar accounts in tens and hundreds of millions? The likes of BLord, Hushpuppi have always been fraudsters but didn't need Binance to be fraudsters

Only imbe.ciles are those with mucus in their brains will reason like you. South Africa's economy is suffering a heist, Australia, Japan, Switzerland, Taiwan who are all miles ahead aren't suffering economic heist. But it is Nigeria who's politicians practically carry Ghana must go bags of cash around, stash it in their houses that is suffering from economic heist? Fraudsters have been using banks to launder money and receive dollars payment time and time again but suddenly Binance is the problem?

Finish them, king!

Donald Trump is so mad about this selective justice..........rightly so cool

Which selective justice? The special prosecutor was Trump-appointed. He said that Biden fully cooperated with his investigation, unlike Trump who fought tooth and nail to keep the illegally-held classified documents.

That is selective justice. Why can't they use the same amnesia and being too old argument to prevent him from running?

Time after time, freelancers have gotten their accounts permanently banned over preventable rule violations, especially old-timers and big earners. In many of these cases, the freelancers didn't read the rule book; they just applied "common sense."

Upwork's rules are there to prevent guesswork. There are grey areas in the rulebook, but circumvention is not one of them. Upwork (which is known to be lenient to its clients) doesn't care how old the client is, how much the client has spent, or whether the client is about to give you your big break.

I can't tell you how to interact with your clients, but I can point out what IMHO are rule violations — and that's what I'm doing.

It's not fun to be a stickler for rules. But, when these rules are from the platform where one earns their daily bread — or a substantial part of their income — then it's wise to be cautious and rule-abiding.

Here's an Upwork article that highlights actions that can get a freelancer banned. You can check what no.1 is: https://www.upwork.com/resources/leading-voices/getting-banned-on-upwork

Upwork is now clamping down on the sharing of contact information before signing a contract. Take note!

You are absolutely right; it's in their policy, and I wouldn't advise anyone here to violate Upwork's policy. What I will say is that sometimes it might be appropriate to use common sense.

The client in the screenshot below secured me the highest hourly paying job I've had on Upwork. As you can see from the screenshot, her response to my proposal was to arrange a Zoom call. Am I going to say this is against Upwork's policy? Absolutely not. Why?

She has spent more than $1.2 million on Upwork.
Her hire rate is 90%.
She has hired over 200 freelancers.
She has been using Upwork since 2009.

It's highly likely that she has sent Zoom links to everyone she has hired recently. Did Upwork ban them? I don't think so. Will Upwork ban me because I didn't point out this issue to a top-tier client who has been using the platform since 2009 long before I even joined ? I don't believe so. Perhaps I would have lost this job if I had prolonged the conversation, insisting on using Upwork's call feature.

In conclusion, common sense is important. If your account is new and you have a history of always initiating calls off Upwork, then you might be at a greater risk of being banned.

Regarding NDAs, this same client sent me an NDA and other documents via the email I provided her during the Zoom call we had (as seen in the second screenshot).

Time after time, freelancers have gotten their accounts permanently banned over preventable rule violations, especially old-timers and big earners. In many of these cases, the freelancers didn't read the rule book; they just applied "common sense."

You will never loose your account over communicating off upwork, if your account is under review it is because they suspect that you took the job off upwork, its not because you are communicating off upwork. That is reason why they suggest that you do all communication on upwork is because they know it can lead to you taking the job off upwork.

Regarding sharing document on upwork, there are specific confidently documents client might not be comfortable sharing with you on upwork.

Communicating with clients outside Upwork before a contract is in place is against Upwork's Terms of Service. Upwork can permanently ban you for it.

You can read about the violation (which Upworks deems "circumvention" ) here: https://support.upwork.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052511133

From the article:

- The person you’ve met on Upwork may not realize that contact information sharing isn’t always allowed. You can tell them our Terms of Service prohibits you from sharing your contact information before a contract is in place.

- Breaking our Terms of Service by circumventing forces us to permanently close your Upwork account, meaning you can no longer use Upwork for any work.

Communicating strictly on Upwork before a contract is in place can help you if you ever find yourself in mediation over a dispute with a client.

And about that last point — which company will share highly confidential documents with (or give access to CMS or other internal systems to) a freelancer whom they don't have a contract with (or who has not signed an NDA)?

Below is me telling a client ( before being hired) that I prefer to use google meet over upwork call. I have done this over and over again and never have my account been suspended.

Again, that's because Upwork isn't onto you yet. However, what you're doing in that screenshot is a violation of their circumvention policy. If they catch you, they will look into you; and if you're a repeat offender, you could be banned. Is it worth the risk?
