Webmasters / The New Joomla by naijabloggie(m): 2:30pm On Jan 22, 2011
Anyone tried the new joomla? Joomla 1.6 is really cool, download it from joomlaforge and try it out. It seems like joomla have dealt with some of the problems with 1.5 like nested categories, permissions and stuff like that. I'm absolutely loving it!

@ragdollz; the site design was a one man effort but the content (articles) are not all mine. I have a few friends as start up site members and they post topics from time to time. It's a social blog so everyone's posts show up to be read except you don't want it that way. A few others have joined up and the initial response is encouraging. Just wanted you guys opinions before i activate the .com domain name.

Romance / Re: Have You Ever Cheated? by naijabloggie(m): 2:50pm On Dec 20, 2010
Wow, that's quite a question. I don't expect many truthful replies though. Some will claim they've never (to make themselves look like saints), and others will say they have (to make themselves look bad boy or bad girl. Still others will tell the truth. You need to be of discerning mind when it comes to love and relationship issues.

My answer, I, Have, Not.
Nairaland / General / Top Five Places You'll Most Likely Spend Lots Of Money This Christmas. by naijabloggie(m): 2:19am On Dec 05, 2010
As the festive season gets underway with the start of December, I’m taking a look at five places you’ll most likely spend much money this Christmas.

(1). The Cinemas:

Since the re-advent of cinemas in Nigeria (especially in Lagos), it has become one of the most visited places during festive seasons and this Christmas will be no different. If you’ve got a giggly girlfriend, chances are that she’d love to watch a romantic or comic movie this Christmas. That’s on your pocket. If you’re married with kids, they’d probably pester you about watching Harry Potter at the cinemas. Also on your pocket. Whichever you are, make sure you strap on lots of cash when heading to the cinemas this Christmas; lest you end up cash strapped.

(2). The Beach:

Ah, don’t we just love the beach, especially during the holidays. This Christmas, the beaches around the country (read Lagos, especially) will be filled to capacity no doubt, replete with so many attractions for fun seekers including park rides, concerts and for the more randy, prostitutes (believe it or not!). All these things cost money, y’know, so make sure you’ve got lots of it if you really want to have fun.

(3). The Markets:

It’s usually the women that visit the markets this period but it’s usually the guys that supply the cash. Food stuff to make this Christmas truly memorable has to be purchased and the ladies will shop from shoprite to the roadside markets. Get ready to do some spending.

(4). The Boutiques:

Everyone will want to deck out in style this season and it means refreshing your wardrobe. Boutique owners will have their hands full with orders from eager and trendy customers. Their hands will also be filled with cash, money you’ve paid.

(5) Church:

Surprised? Don’t be. If you’re a Christian, you’ve got to give thanks to God for the conclusion of the year. You’ve also got to thank God for the birth of Jesus Christ this season and if you’re in a more cash intensive church, there will be more thanksgivings to give. When you’re going to church, don’t leave your money at home (don’t be selfish with God o!).
