Family / intimate Abuse By Family Members by Naijajury: 4:46pm On Nov 26, 2012
Sexual abuse is very common in Nigeria.
Uncles, drivers, house helps, look no further, it started with the people close to your children.
The psychology of a child's mind is to trust those around them. The people we leave our kids with, how well do we know them?
Kids that are scared of their parents can't tell them what is happening to them.
I have a friend that was abused by her own father. She couldn't tell her mother because she knew her mum would never leave him and fend for her 4 younger siblings alone.
So she suffered for 6 years until she ran away to Lagos.
What would you do as the mother of an abused child by her own father?
Is it easier for you as the abused child to tell your mother and destroy her sanity or keep it to yourself?
Sometimes these decisions are not for kids to make, it is for us parents to watch and protect them.
Food / Indomie And Garri Which Is Nigeria's Stable Food by Naijajury: 4:16pm On Nov 26, 2012
I can't seem to place one over the other.
Indomie has gained more grounds in our society today just as much as our local garri has.
In a home with children indomie is the stable food, quick for mothers to prepare and the children love it.
What would we do without indomie or Garri?

Nairaland / General / Recall Of Cellphones And Internet by Naijajury: 3:56pm On Nov 26, 2012
Since the coming of mobile phones and internets in our society Nigeria, it has helped greatly with our views on life, fashion, politics, culture, technology, creativity.
How Google has become man's best friend, and how telephones has bridged the gap between friends and family.
What would you do without Internet and cell phone?
Family / The lady behind TickleBay by Naijajury: 2:34pm On Nov 26, 2012
The lady behind TickleBay...
is no other but Marifa Witte
She has introduced another kind of entertainment for our kids, something different from what we are used to. The games at TickleBay makes my kids not want to leave the facility. The parties that are been held there makes everyone want to gate crash. (www.ticklebay..com)
I am still in awe how time has evolved not just for us but for our kids as well. Our children are our joys, and we all know we would do anything for them, much more than we would do for ourselves. They all want to have birthday parties that are out of this world. (Spiderman, princess, Thomas the Engine, Dora the explorer, Fireman, Ben 10 etc)
Having had 3 kids and countless birthday parties, I have decided that I was not having anymore parties for my children until I visited TickleBay, Marifa Witte just got it right.
The games, the waterfront view, the atmosphere is serene
It is definitely the place to make your child's dream come true.
