Thank You as if say Fransisca Ordega have never been a good player before now, Apart from Stella Mbachu (46yrs) and Vera Okolo (39yrs) who would have stayed longer in the team if not for her injury and dispute with the NFF in 2007 no winger in the SuperFalcons Played up to Franny Level till date…

If you’re to pick 3 Wingers to have graced the game for Nigeria Franny is definitely among the top3 Pick till date!

As in. She is in the top 3 and for clarity, I do not think we can say who is the best. Vera shined very brightly but very briefly. Who knows what would have happened. Stella was the most consistent and ordega is the best known internationally. They were all really good and in their days we would be assured of flank pressing. So let us give her all the dues.

I do not think she should be back though for a couple of reasons. 1. Team chemistry. This is not her team. Her team disbanded in 2019 and Oshoala and Ohale are enough for the neceesary guide and transitioning. This is the Under 20 (2016-18) team, so disrupting their chemistry is unfair. Further, there has being blends from foreign bred Nigerians so balancing this chemistry is critical.

2. Her skill is not that critical for now. SF has enough strikers and wingers. What we rally need is a holding and creative mid fielder, an Okobi fool stop, A Midfielder who can hold, distribute and control tha attacking pace. Echegini scores but I have not seen her create the Okobi type of magics. Maybe Tony Payne or Ajibade may be converted to adapt as they are the closest we have for now. ,

And still!!!And Still!!!
Undefeated in 15 games.
That was a masterful, fantastic exhibition in world class defending.

That wiley old fox named Randy Waldrum - look how he made the SA team look very ordinary. That first half was just a beauty to behold.
Our Naija ladies are now the masters of defence!!

I wonder how he manages to convert natural strikers to defenders. His game is a bit too defensive.

First I don't know abt the Igbo tradition of settling the senior first

I had issue with the paternity fraud... Does igbos allow it

Traditionally Igbos will not allow it. But traditionally who can prove otherwise if the father acknowledges the boy as his? Now, we are under received English family law. So it is both a legal, social and family/personal issue. I think it created a theme, motif tapestry to enrich the movie.

I will give the movie a 5/10 rating, cos the story of nwa Boi is not realistic, odogwu settling Afam before Paulo was the deal beaker for me,,, it was suppose to be Paulo before afam, then let's say Paulo squander his money and later went back to afam, then blackmailing afam about how oga settled him well enough for him to still be doing well

You are wrong. Oga can chose who to settle and how. And consider the Oga is also making a business decision as the nwa boi settled will invariable affect the oga's business also. They will be in a friendly partnership remeber, the oga needs someone to extend his business also.

Actually, the thing about this movie and some others people hype is just the clean camera. Some of the stories of these overhyped movies aren't different from the regular Nollywood movies.... Just clean cameras.

I agree to an extent. But this movie has a better conflict character and conflict development than most nollywood movies.

However, it did not portray the normal bad guy vs good guy. It portrayed 2 human beings who due to character flaws inevitably entered a conflict which they could not resolve hence a tragic death.

My problem however is, the melodrama. I wish Nollywood will cut off this. Further, the language will not pass. Umu boi do not speak the level of (touche) English the characters spoke later in the film. Now, I am Igbo and I know a lot of ndi ahia personally, some of them are actually university educated but frankly, while their English is in no way bad, it usually comes with a type of accent missing here. Further, no one speaks Igbo Izugbe (aka standard Igbo). This is only spoken in classrooms, news casting and for SSCE purposes. No one speaks it in real life. People either speak their dialects or a mix of popular market Igbo such as Onicha, Aba and their dialect. The earlier Igbo language home videos like Living in bondage, Ukwa etc got this part better.

Am unapologetic Igbo but I must be brutally honest.Anyone with insults can direct them to his or her ancestors, and generation unborn.
Why are they harassing Gowon? He spoke the truth about the civil war.
Gowon never wanted the war to break out and sought peaceful means of settlement, but Ojukwu was reckless, rash and too eager to pull Igbos out of Nigeria.
Well Gowon is still alive, healthy and bubbling in good health, while Ojukwu the war lord has long ago passed to the other Side.
And Gowon is older than Ojukwu.
Irony of life.

The number f likes you received is why the hardship on Nierians is as high as it stands today. People living in lies and denials. If Gowon did no want war he should have agreed to what he and his mates agreed to at Aburi,

MAY YOU AND YOUR GENERATIONS FOREVER BE DENIEL EVERY AGREEMENT AND EXPECTATIONS YOU ENTER INTO

Asisat Oshoala isn’t a member of the 2010 U20 set and Ngozi Ebere retired from Football few years ago? So which of the 2010 set are you talking about cause is only Osinachi Ohale, Desire Oparanozie from the 2010 U20 set that where part of the last World Cup..!

I was not very precise, I meant 2019 world cup and the video of the scuffle between the two circulated.

Some members of the 2010 under 20 set like Ngozi Ebere were angry with Oshoala at last world cup. Sometimes I feel Oparanozie is very humble and may avoid such confrontations.

I recall when Rivers Angels clique and others feuded though.

If you had high hopes about this team I'd rather you hust squash them now cos it's understandable to have those performances for an opening game and playing host nation. What's the excuse for this? same complaints since the beginning of the tournament.

So i should not call a spade a spade?
I never said Ajibade was not a good footballer, I said she's not done well in recent times for the GWG which is but the fact but that does not mean she's a bad footballer.
Oga even if it's Mbappe that has had few bad games irrespective of his status, i'll still say the same.

Talking about a player's bad form is no disrespect.

On her form and Caicedo's, i'll say no more. The pitch would do the talking for both of them.

Bros did we watch the same match? She practically assisted the first 2 goals. Even at Morrocco, she contributed to a lot of our goals.

If Nigeria gets to the QF or SF, Waldrum’s contract will be renewed & Okobi might have to kiss the national team invitation goodbye embarassed

The Nigerian Super Falcons are giving me Morocco vibes of Qatar 2022 shocked

I think she should be eased off with or without Waldrum.

Okobi, Oshoala, Ebi, Orderga should all go.

Then Ohale should be slowly eased off while Oshoala should have just one world cup or just one African WC. Seriously, the new kids should be eased in or we suffer the same thing when the team had to be almost totally recreated in 2000

It's not sentiment. Its the fact that we have taken this mentality for decades with virtually nothing to show and prove that it is the best to adopt as a pattern over the decades. We see other footballing nations giving chance to players in developing phase and they got better. The question is "can't someone be developing while getting exposure at same time?" Or is there any rule or stats that prove it is highly detrimental to our players? Now this same Esther you picked, we all agree she is still developing, but we know that she can do stuff if she gets a spot. The two can go hand in hand.

Or are the u17 players fielded by other nations as talented as the Nigerian ones?

We just need to bin that mentality. It is working for many. Why is it suddenly so different when e reach our side?

There are already 3 of them in the team. I doubt we have gone to any WC without the cadets. 4 years ago Nnadozie, Ogbonna, Chidinma Okeke (long pass to Oshoala) Ajibade, Kanu etc were in the team. 2015 we had Oshoala and 2011 was Oparanozie, Okobi, Orderga, etec.

Youth players are not infused for the sake of infusing them. It is disciplined, planned and processes which NFF lack as administration. With respect to the young stars I doubt there is anybody in the team they can easily dislodge, and facts be told, the current SF are actually quite young themselves.

How else does one garner experience and team spirit if not by inclusion?

If there are no surprising moves, there will be no revelations. Sentiment or not.

All these are for tomorrow sha. We meuve.

That was a pass by oshoala. She wasn't even looking at the goal, she tried to make the unrushing player score an owngoal. If she controls the ball there was a player right behind her.

I also think Toni switched with Deborah after that Oshoala foul, u could see her having a long conversation with Waldrum. After that she was almost always ahead of Deborah

My thoughts too. She should have held on a bit. Oparanozie, Okobi, Ajibade etc would have held on

Normally,I'm a critic of Randy, but with regards to this list, he tried..it's an okay list... The problem with some Nigerian football fans is that they don't follow our national teams well.. most are probably unaware of Okobi situation at her club and the fact that she hardly starts for the super Falco anymore... Not to talk about that interview she gave about Randy last year... I saw someone commenting that Macleans should have made the squad and I pointed out that she got her chance at the last WAFCON but didn't impress, oga said she wasn't invited for the WAFCON, I just SMH

It's difficult letting go, especially if it's a darling one. Ngozi has always delivered for Nigeria, I cannot say her current form or club but at the national level, she has never disappointed. But we all knew one or two of the old guards must go. Definitely not Ohale, most probably Orderga, Oparanozie and Ebi, maybe, (I don;t know if Oshoala is part of the old guards o) but Okobi, this was a real shocker.

On the team list, I must say I respect the coach on his choice. The new players *here I mean the under 20 girls) because it seems almost everybody is new hahahaha, are good and should be praised. But I wonder is Abiodun creative enough? I was hoping Ngozi will somehow hold on till Esther Onyenezide matures a bit, because, honestly, we do not have a creative mid fielder in the team.

My respect to Ayinde, Ucheibe and Rash, Rash is smart, Ayinde and Ucheibe can hold, but who can create opportunities? If Okobi was dropped, why not Esther rather than Abiodun, I am talking about creativity now,

In spite of all the amount of talent coming out of Canada now, a 15 yr old girl of Nigerian descent is deemed good enough to be invited to the Canadian Snr women's team, yet you are talking about Flamingos?
I mean, seriously

I was trying to understand the thinking myself. She is good enough to beat mam Falcons but no, she cannot even play for Falcon-lets, she should go to kindergarten. How old was Orderga when she played for the Falcons in 2011 self?

This is where the likes of Florence Omagbemi, Mercy Akide Udoh and Co can come in but they won’t want to Coach at the U17 level here in Nigeria but the SuperFalcons….

While abroad they coach age grade teams, I have read a lot of Comments about them, how other Coaches, Fans and Parents of the Players appreciates and commend them for their good jobs…

Is it that they want already made players (SuperFalcons) and they don’t want to start building our young ones here??

We really need to know why they don’t want to Coach Nigeria at the Age grade level…

Did they say they don't want to coach age grade?
