USA EMERGENCY VISA

Please I'm a Ghanaian who intends to attend my eldest Sister's funeral in New York on 12th April 2024. I want to apply for emergency appointment. However, the Funeral Director has still not sent the invitation letter. Since time is running against me, can I ask for emergency appt without the invitation letter and instead attach death certificate and funeral poster?

I applied for Switzerland visa on Monday and got visa same week Friday but was given only 15 days. From 14th to 28th August 2022. Isn't it strange? 2 weeks visa?

Biometrics is done once in 10 years.

Married for over 9 years. Wife also travelled to UK three times, Dubai, Turkey.

We declared all previous refusals.No misrepresentation. Never"hoarded" any information.

Please how do I address these refusal reasons
1. Travel history
I have traveled to the UK about 8 times, Canada(for a one week workshop), India, Turkey, Dubai, South Africa, Kenya.
I have never spent more than 1 week on those trips. And never broken any immigration rules.

2. Purpose of visit
My wife and I were traveling to spend the Christmas holidays in Toronto with her brother and in law who are in Toronto.
We stated this clearly and with a detailed itinerary and thorough explanation with invitation letters and copies of her brothers permanent resident card and citizenship card of her brother's wife.

We also addressed previous refusal reasons and why we will return to Ghana immediately after our visit including the fact that i am studying for my PhD in Ghana and my wife is undertaking her compulsory National Service (we provided documents to support this) including school fees payment receipts.

How can we address these two reasons honorable members. I just don't know what to included again in my next application. I may not be able to wait for GCMS notes because of lack of time. You know they take too long to process an application so i need to apply early enough.

All we are interested in is to visit and return.

For now, we will consider applying after the GMCS Notes, without our daughter.

Reasons for the 3 of us(me, wife and daughter were same as below:

1. I have travelled alone to the UK about 6 times. Also to Canada(attended workshop for one week and returned) UAE, Turkey, India, South Africa, Kenya.

2. The family wanted to visit my wife's brother and his wife in Toronto for two weeks.

3. I have travelled together with my wife to the UK 3 times and to Turkey and Dubai together. But we have not travelled with our daughter before.

I provided all necessary documents to prove that we will return to Ghana. I am a head of department with good salary and 10 years working in the same company. My wife is a teacher and daughter is a pupil in class one.

My questions:
1. How do I address the refusal reasons?
Travel history: We have never violated any visit and have not spent more than a week outside Ghana. How do I address this reason?

2. Purpose. I included detailed itinerary for each day and where we would be staying. We are staying with her brother's family except two days where we will travel to Montreal and stay in a hotel. We provided bookings for this. We also stated we would take the opportunity to celebrate or 10th wedding Anniversary.

3. Lack of previous joint family visit. Do we have to travel together, the 3 of us to some country before we apply again to Canada?

I applied for visit Visa from Accra and sent them email to inquiry why my application has taken so long. They replied that they have so many applications at the moment so they are processing one after the other on first come first served basis. I guess you should wait a little longer. Your letter may have no influence on the processing time. My opinion.

My application is 60 days now against 24 days on CIC website. They replied to my mail that they have so many applications now and they are processing on first come first served basis. I guess they are over loaded and overwhelmed with the large numbers of applications at this period.

28th December to 18th Feb. I think its too long a period for a"business" to leave his business just for visiting.

For amount of money needed for trip kindly calculate plane ticket, hotel, feeding, internal transport etc.

There are cheaper airlines like air maroc, Ethiopian airlines etc.

You can get as short as 1 month visa to as high as 5 years visa depending on the VOs discretion.

Yes you can enter multiple times before your visa expires.

You can use your business accounts and provide detailed explanation.

Don't pay for your flights now. Just book.

Book your hotel too and add all booking confirmation papers to your application.

Provide documents relating to your business and your landed properties.

Prepare a detailed itinerary of your trip.

Please my Canada visit visa processing is delayed by 11 days now. That is 11 days more than the processing time on cic website. What should i do? I applied on line.

You can apply six months before your intended travel.

CIC requires at least 4 months bank statement.

1. I plan attending a conference holding in March 2018; when would it be advisable to apply for a Canadian visa especially as they take their time.
2. What is the recommended length for a bank statement - one month, three months or six months.

Wow. I don't understand this oo. On CIC website, a host doesn't have to provide income and assets documents to support ones application but an invitation letter with specific content and PR card or green card. So where from this reason for denial?

Sorry about the outcome of your TRV. i can now say that from several views and comments VISA is always refused based on an error or omission during the application.
I think personally that once you include an invite, then you must meet all criteria stated in their CHECKLIST.

I was also denied Visa to USA in 2014. However I have traveled to UK, Kenya, Canada, SA, India, Dubai, Turkey before.

Now I want to visit Canada again during Christmas for two weeks with my wife and 6 year old daughter.
My wife has a brother in Canada who is inviting us.

I work full time and earn around USD 1,800(net salary) per month. My wife is a teacher and a part time student. She earns about USD 200.

8. I will be sponsoring the trip. I have a balance of about USD 13,000. Should we use my bank statement only? Or i need to add my wife's. She has almost nothing in her accounts.
9. Although my wife and her brother are twins, they mistakenly have different Date of birth in the same year. One has April, the other has May. Will it create a problem? CIC already has this records since we applied in 2015 also.

Yes. I'll be able to attend but I prefer the earlier one. Should I inform CIC that I am traveling earlier for a different programme? Also I'll be staying at my bro inlaw's place. In my application, I didn't state where I'll be lodging. Hope I will have no problem at POE.

I received my passport back today. Surprisingly, I was given just a month visa. Anyway I am only traveling for a week.

ok. You'll receive another message once your passport is ready for collection. Whether you can attend another conference taking place earlier than the planned one or not depends of the validity of your visa. If your visa validity starts from a date earlier than the conference you want to attend before the planned one, it's ok otherwise, you'd have to do away with it

I received my passport today. Surprisingly, I was issued with a visa valid for just one month. Anyway am traveling for only a week. Thanks.

Thanks for your good work. I have received request for passport after about 45 days of applying online from Ghana. I thought it wise to share my supporting documentation. Maybe it may help some one.

1. A well written introductory letter stating my job, when I joined the company, some of my key roles, my salary, committees I serve on, my purpose of going to Canada(conference being paid by the organization).

2. Marriage certificate

3. 4 months bank statement

4.introductory letter from my Rev minister

5. Copies of my land indenture

5. Car papers

6. Invitation letter from conference organizers

7. 4 months pay slips

8. Letter of explanation, written by myself

I have previous travels to UK, UAE, India, Turkey, Kenya, SA but i was refused USA and CANADA in 2014 and 2015 respectively even though i had genuine reasons to travel by then.

Now am waiting for my Passport just to travel for less than 7 days and return.

Can I change to attend a different conference which is one week earlier than the one i planned to go? Do I need to inform CIC when I get my passport back? When should I expect the passport return?

Please I have received email to send my passport to CVAC. I applied to attend a workshop between 2-6 dec in Toronto. Can I change the purpose and date of travel to attend another workshop in Toronto between 24-30 November? Do I need to inform CIC? Please help.

Hi all, thanks for your good works here.

My wife and I have had a visa which we procured to attend my graduation in the UK in December.
Unfortunately, I failed my dissertation and therefore no longer attending the graduation ceremony.

Can we use the Visa to visit the UK for the Christmas holidays or we need to apply again for a visa with this new purpose of visit?

We visited the UK twice together for other graduation ceremonies in 2014.
