The atmosphere was dark and i could hear a thousand cries and wailing from afar. "This place does not suit me, oh God! you know i am not used to suffering worst still a place like this." "Stop there!" a voice called out to me, i said to him, "what is your name," i asked perplexed, " i am your conscience, reminding and requesting you stop any ill act before you carry it out or stop it but i am not always successful." "wow!" i said, "so where are we going to now," i asked, Mr Conscience told me he is taking me to see Mystrilot. We walked silently because no words came out of my mouth after that time. When we got to Mystrilots abode we met with him, or do i say it? Because it had features that i cannot describe but i will try to for you to understand my fears. It had the face of a human just that the nose was longer. "reminds me of pinochio the cartoon character" i tought, the eyes where by the sides just a little above the horrid and wierd looking ears, it has four horns two each at a side twisted like that of a ram and a homodont dentition, the rest of its body were like burning coal that was still red in colour. But i couldn't feel any heat oozing out from it, my eyes was stuck to its face i did not bother looking at its legs. There is an aura of fear when around mystrilot. Mystrilot grunted and then spoke " another foolish mortal human, they have the kindest God of all gods i know, they are so arogant and ignorant." "my master (lucifer) will always get them because they think he will come to them with tails and horns looking very ugly, what a lie because he will come in the most unexpected form: beautiful, attractive and good to behold." then he kept quiet for a while. After what seems like five minutes it started again "Your God is the most powerful, a God of salvation, liberty, glory, honour, full of mercies, compassion, he is tender hearted and love those who fear him (obedient ones)." he emphasized " to serve him is the easiest thing but mortals think and see it as difficult." " he is very jealous and require true worship from mortals, now depart!" why is he praising God? Tbc. |

The next day i got a call from a girl that love me but i cannot say the same about her, don't get me wrong she is beautiful and have the right curves at the right places but i prefer to use the word like in place of love. That afternoon i broke the second law ( i won't be intimate with any girl till i am married ). You would say i am not a born again, stop! Stop! don't just start being all judgemental on me. Just like apostle paul the things i want to do i don't see myself doing them and the things i want to do i don't do them. After the act i said to myself " Chinwe ! You have made me offend my God, anyways i am the one to blame, if i had said no to her advances i won't be saying this." That evening i was so tired, things couldn't get worse NEPA interupted the power supply. A neighbour shouted " Nepa! na God go punish una useless people if na to bring crazy bill now their two left leg go fast". I couldn't help but laugh bros Ovie would kill me with all this his funny and insultive talks in that his heavy warri accent. " oh what a day" i said to myself, just then i heard people shouting at the back of the yard, Gbosa! Gbim! Jesus! my eye ooo. i rushed to the backyard and with the help of some young men we disentangled the two women that were fighting, their names were mama Mata and iya Balikis. Iya Balikis stood hands akimbo with a swollen eye and said " mama Mata witch!! everyday you go dey beat my children but if you go outside you go keep mouth like bedbug wey dey inside mortuary". People around burst out laughing. Mama Mata replied " no be to sharp mouth come outside make we fight, i go beat you well well and if that your husband wey be like devil chewing stick come back with that him adam coat and monkey tie i go beat am join". This time i was rolling with laughter, bros Ovie was on the floor with tears coming out of his eyes he couldn't control his laughter anymore. Few minutes later iya Balikis husband came back and persuaded his wife to go inside the house and as they were about to enter their room, mama Mata started again " see them ambassadors of slavery and poverty, shapeless amoebas both wife and husband chie! Toads for that matter." iya balikis and her husband stood as if pinned to the ground, he shaked head and entered his room. " Oh! God be praised finally some quietness," i said as i entered my room, jumped on the bed and drifted away. I found myself walking on a broad street with so many people, walking as if compelled to by a strong force, they were almost running. It was as if i move at a slow motion pace amongst them. One ugly looking undescribable creature whose head could spin in a 360 direction started singing one song that sounds familiar, like one south african song i used to know back then. " number are many, going to hell fire number are many, going to hell fire, everybody number are many, going to hell fire ." "am i on my way to hell ?" i asked. Tbc. |

My name is Charles, normally i won't do this " hell no, " my reply would be if asked by someone to do this (write) . On the 31st of december 2014 at the church i knelt, these were my words " oh God! I don't want to write new year resolutions because i don't keep them." i prayed and asked for forgiveness. "Al Ghaffar! (God the forgiver) i beckon on you look with pity upon me for i don't live up to what i preach." that word (Al Ghaffar) i learnt from a muslim brother back then in sokoto during my nysc days, " hmmm amen." I looked at my wrist watch 12.00am, "happy new year!!!" i shouted at the top of my voice. "2015 here i come." This year i won't do any swagg thing, i am a man and men do class not swagg. By the 2nd of january as at 6.30pm i went out with friends like Ebuka, Oil money, Agaga, Ebig and some others that i don't know personally. I broke the first law ( i won't take alcohol this year ), i said to myself " God should understand now, a man just have to catch fun." why is it difficult to live without sin? Well that was how it all began. Tbc. |
