RECESSION: FG Advertises Sale Of Two Presidential Jets

The Federal Government has advertised the sale of two aircraft in the presidential fleet and directed that the bids be quoted in US dollars. A Falcon 7x and Hawker 4000 are the aircraft to be disposed, according to an advert placed in a national daily.

Interested buyers were asked to inspect the Falcon at the presidential wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International, Airport, Abuja, and the Hawker at Cessna Zurich Citation Service Centre, Zurich, Switzerland. The office of the national security adviser (NSA), which is in charge of the sale, said all bids should be quoted in US dollars – a possible indication that the government is avoiding exchange rate risks being experienced by businesses in Nigeria.

The number of the aircraft in the presidential fleet has been a subject of discussion, with critics lamenting the cost of maintaining them in a period of economic crisis. Ben Bruce, senator representing Bayelsa east, who has been one of the vocal voices in the national assembly, advised President Muhammadu Buhari to sell off all the jets. “I appeal to @MBuhari to sell off our 11 presidential jets. Maintaining them at the current ₦5.3 Billion per annum is against #commonsense. Does it make #commonsense that our presidential air fleet is larger than the combined fleet of the Queen of England and the British PM?” he once wrote on Twitter. In September, Garba Shehu, senior special assistant to the president on media and publicity, hinted that the aircraft in the fleet would soon be reduced. “There is a govt committee already in place, working to reduce the number of aircraft in the Presidential fleet,” he also wrote on Twitter.

Politics / Nigeria To Borrow From World Bank, China, Japan by nawebco(m): 9:45pm On Sep 08, 2016
The presidency on Thursday said it had approved an external borrowing plan after the cash-strapped African economy plunged into official recession.

“Low cost, long-term loans (1.25% interest, 20yr tenor)” would be sought from the World Bank, African Development Bank, China’s Exim Bank and the Japan International Cooperation Agency, it announced.

A Eurobond would also be offered “in due course” and parliament has still to sign off on the plan, President Muhammadu Buhari’s office added in a series of tweets.

Recession in Nigeria was confirmed last month, when official data showed output in the three months to the end of June fell 2.1 percent — the second successive quarter of negative growth.

That followed months of turmoil including a failing currency, rising double-digit inflation, and foreign exchange shortages that have hit business, especially imports and investment.

The decline has laid bare OPEC-member Nigeria’s over-reliance on oil revenue and the lack of economic diversity, after global oil prices began free falling from mid-2014.

Nigeria’s government is dependent on oil export sales for 70 percent of its revenue. Militant attacks on facilities in the Niger delta have compounded the effects of the worldwide slump in crude prices.

Buhari has also blamed the economic troubles on his predecessors, saying he inherited a treasury that was “virtually empty” and that “mind-boggling” sums of public cash had been looted.

He has vowed to recover the money, prosecute corrupt officials and streamline government, cutting waste and improving efficiency, as well as diversify the economy, particularly agriculture.

The government said the external loans would be used mainly in the agriculture, power, mining development and healthcare sectors.

A record 6.1-trillion-naira ($19.4-billion) spending plan was announced in this year’s federal budget to try to stimulate growth.

International Monetary Fund managing director Christine Lagarde visited Nigeria in January but said at the time that no programme was needed.

Religion / Importance Of Original And Pure Honey For Healing And Business by nawebco(m): 9:55am On Sep 08, 2016
Importance of Original and pure honey for healing

"For at least 2700 years, honey has been used to treat a variety of ailments through topical application, but only recently have the antiseptic and antibacterial properties of honey been chemically explained.
Honey contains copper, iron, silica, vitamin B, manganese, chlorine, calcium, potassium, sodium, phosphorous, aluminum and magnesium. Depending on the part of the world where the honey comes from, honey will vary in mineral content.
WARNING! Never give honey to an infant under 12 months.

THE HEALING PROPERTIES OF HONEY
* Afternoon Fatigue: At 3:00pm (or when the body is feeling fatigued), drink 1/2 Tablespoon of honey in a glass of water and sprinkled with cinnamon powder. Energy will increase within one week if taken daily.
* Anxiety and Nervous Tension: Honey is said to calm a nervous, high strung person. It can also help you sleep at night. For insomnia, take 1 Tablespoon of honey at dinner. If that doesn't work, try mixing 3 Tablespoons of Apple Cider Vinegar to 1 cup of honey in a jar. Take 2 teaspoons before bed. If you don't fall asleep within the hour, take 2 teaspoons more. An old ayuverdic remedy has men taking the same dosage (2 Tablespoons of honey) before bed to treat impotence.
* Honey for pain relief: Mix 3 Tbls. of honey in boiled water and drink. Honey has natural pain-relieving powers.
* Longevity Tea: Boil 3 cups of water with 4 teaspoons of honey and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder. Drink 1/4 cup, 3 or 4 times a day. Said to give steady energy and keep the skin soft!
* Honey Relieves Coughs:
* Honey for Burns: Apply to burn, cover with a soft bandage.
* Honey for Asthma: Right before going to bed, take a mixture of 1 tsp. honey with 1/2 tsp. cinnamon.
* Honey for Hang-overs: Eat honey on bread or crackers. The fructose in the honey helps to flush out the alcohol in your system.

HONEY OR HONEYCOMB FOR ALLERGIES
Honeycomb is an old Vermont remedy for allergies. When honeycomb is chewed regularly during allergy season, it completely alleviates allergies.
Recipe: Chew a piece of honeycomb as long as possible as though it were a piece of gum. Within 30 minutes of chewing honeycomb, symptoms like a stuffy nose and headache disappear. Start chewing honeycomb a week or two before allergy season starts and you may not get any allergies. The honeycomb should be from a local bee farm so your best luck in finding a local variety is probably at your farmer's market. If you can't find honeycomb, try combed honey. Plain honey apparently works as well: dosage is 2 TBLS at each meal, three times a day.
SKIN CARE
Honey has been used for 2,000 years as an antiseptic dressing for minor wounds. Because honey contains potassium, bacteria cannot survive in it. Potassium withdraws moisture, which is essential to bacteria's survival. Honey also promotes healing and prevents scarring.
Studies have shown raw honey to have significant antioxidant properties. It is also an anti-irritant. As such, it is often one of the ingredients in sunscreen, since the chemicals in sunscreen can cause skin eruptions. Honey is a humectant (it attracts and retains moisture) and is often used in soaps, cleansers and lotions. Due to honey's anti-bacterial nature, it can cleanse the skin's surface as well as temporarily tighten the outer skin layers. Honey acts as both cleanser and toner.

HONEY RECIPES:
Honey Facial Moisturizer: 2 Tablespoons of honey 2 Teaspoons of Milk. Apply to face and leave on for 10 minutes. Rinse with warm water.

Summertime Honey Mask: When the humidity and/or filthy city air is producing breakouts and oily or gritty skin, a honey mask is a great solution! The recipe is as easy as they get! Simply spread a thin layer of honey over your face for about 15 minutes. Rinse with warm water.

Honey Scrub for the Body: mix 1/2 cup of raw honey with 1/2 cup sugar or salt. Step into the shower (sans water, of course) and scrub mixture into the skin. Then shower off.

Honey Scrub for the Face: 1 Tablespoon of honey mixed with 2 Tablespoons of finely ground almonds and half a teaspoon of lemon juice. Rub gently into the skin and rinse with warm water.
Skin Infections: Applying honey and cinnamon powder in equal parts to the affected parts cures eczema, ringworm and all types of skin infections.

HAIR TREATMENTS
Hair Conditioner: Mix 2 Tablespoons of honey with 1/2 of a fresh avocado and 1 Teaspoon of coconut oil. Massage into hair and leave on for half an hour. Works beautifully for dry and damaged hair.
Hair Loss: To the scalp, apply a paste of hot olive oil, one Tablespoon of honey and one Teaspoon of cinnamon (powder). Keep on for approx. 15 min. and then wash the hair

Sports / Nigeria 1-0 Tanzania | 10 Things We Saw In Rohr, Super Eagles’ Tactical Approach by nawebco(m): 7:37am On Sep 05, 2016
Nigeria 1-0 Tanzania | 10 things we saw in Rohr, Super Eagles’ tactical approach

The new regime of 63-year-old Gernot Rohr as Super Eagles Technical Adviser kicked off on Saturday at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium. It was against the Taifa Stars of Tanzania and ended 0-0, though there were many positive insights and heart-rending negatives from the encounter.
Positives

More intensity in the play

The Eagles were not as pedantic as they have been in the past – where the team almost played at a walking pace. In Uyo on Saturday, there was urgency in the players’ overall movement what was gladdening. In as much as the match was of no consequence, the players showed intensity in their play – something Rohr will definitely work on when he gets the team together before their trip to Zambia in October.

Pressing high on the opponent

The Taifa Stars did not have as much time as they would have wanted on the ball as the Eagles pressed as a unit even though at times the movement was not well coordinated. But one could see the pattern develop throughout the encounter and that ensured that the Eagles played under far less pressure from their less illustrious opponents.

Iheanacho can thrive as a No.10

Kelechi Iheanacho has always shown the ability to link play from his U-17 days. This time, he had to fall deeper to get the ball but his pass-playing ability ensured he was able to open up the Tanzanian defence on many occasions with a through ball. Though it did not always work out, his movement on and off the ball was impressive.

Quicker movement and chances aplenty

The movement of the ball was quicker from back to front as it was clearly shown that playing against a team that wanted to defend and play on the counter. There was no lumping of the ball straight to the attackers to chase but in three to four passes; the Eagles moved the ball closer to the opponent’s goal. Though the Eagles managed just a goal against Tanzania, the way they were able to carve out chances at will and the speed with which they attacked at every opportunity showed that with more training sessions, the team would start to score more goals.

The fans and full capacity of the stadium

It was heartening to see the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium almost filled to the brim – even though the match had no consequence whatsoever. The fans were in support of their team even though they created and missed good chances. This did not deter the fans as they clearly enjoyed the spectacle and continued to support the players until Iheanacho scored the only goal. This is a good indicator of where the NFF should take the World Cup qualifying matches – no expedition to other places, please!
Negatives

Diagonal balls were not good enough

It would have been a sore point that his team was not always able to shift the focus of their attack from one side of the pitch to the other. Though it has to be said that the players only had six training sessions together and the Chemistry could not have been developed as quickly as Rohr will have wanted.

The final ball was abysmal

The greatest undoing for the Eagles against the Taifa Stars was the gross inability to score when the chances presented themselves. Whether it was anxiety or a bouncy pitch or the fact that Odion Ighalo has continued to show that he needs a partner to do his best job remains to be seen. This would be a great worry to Rohr because not as many chances would be created against the likes of Zambia and Algeria.

Urgency to finish lacking

For all the urgency that the team displayed in getting to the final third, all seemed to dissipate as soon as the Tanzanian goalkeeper was sighted. From woeful shooting to abject decision-making, Rohr would have been terrified with how wasteful his players were in front of goal. This will have to be addressed immediately.

Musa Mohamed too offensive

Against more tactically prepared sides, Super Eagles right back for the match against Tanzania, Musa Mohamed, would be found out. All match long, he ran ahead of Ahmed Musa, making a counter more expedient for the opponent. He can also be a bit rash in the tackle and could be set up as the fall guy by an Algerian side full of experienced professionals.

Stadium needs better grounds men

With more than 99% of the players coming in from Europe – who play on pristine pitches all season long, it is only expedient that the pitch at the stadium should be prepared to world class standard. There were parts of the Uyo pitch that clearly showed the need for repairs as they bounced the ball unevenly. If that is prepared well, then the players will clearly transit seamlessly from their clubs to the national team.

You're very right! I just checked out now. They have limited their 60 days free trial to foreign countries.
My current site is hosted with them, I started with the free trial and when I really like their service, I upgraded to the paid one.
I was told it was because their free service was been misused. The free trial is now for only foreign customers.
Anyways, sorry about that.
One more thing, I guess the reason I was able to use the free trial last week was because my company IP is actually foreign (US) IP.
I guess that's the reason I was able to register from last week's free trial.
If you can, you can change your IP and try the free trial. All you need to do is succesfully register for it.
You will be able to use it then for 6 months.

I needed to clarify this.

Thank you.
. Ok, thanks for confirming my earlier statements. I may consider the. Again. Were u able to pay with naira debit card as I do not hav credit card

I guess you're talking about something else with they guy. Its all glaring for all to see. Check their hosting plans. Its boldly written there. I am NOT a reseller. I just registered for another free hosting last week. Only the hosting is free. Or are you expecing them to give you domain name for free too? When you ask to start free trial his respose was yes. Try to ask proper questions before you jump to conclusion. Go to the site now and register for the free trial plan. You don't need to pay a dime. You can cancel if you don't like the service. For me, so far so good.
I stand by my claim. No more free hosting from them. They just put it on the site page to deceive. I filled the hosting form and I had the message telling me thay are NO MORE giving free hosting. They then redirected me to another site. Go back to the site and check again

Its a very good foreign host.

if you are a reseller, you back and confirm before you deceive people. they do not have free trial period. it is a deceit!
