shdemidemi: I get it amigo. Your god and religion is superior to others. Your way is the only way to heaven. Your doctrine and creed is the RIGHT one. Every other one is false. Anyone who doesn't believe in your god and his message is condemned to eternal damnation. "Jesus is ideal and wonderful, but you Christians - you are not like him." ~ Mahatma Ghandi. |

Bidam: You are a learner here. Let's see. You may not no it or maybe you are really ignorant. There are spirits behind books like this that plagues the lives of individuals that reads them, i am telling you from the benefit of experience and testimonies of folks who were delivered from the powers and influences of such books. Most of these books teach about astral travelling and how to communicate with familiar spirits, enough said here, i don't want to derail this thread further since you like to argue unecessarily. What an ignorant twerp! Your Jewish God ordered the massacre and genocide of innocent women and children in the Bible, yet you find no problem with it? Is that not mad? You Christian Zionists rejoice over the killing of innocent women and children in Palestine. Your blood lust is justified as long as it is sanctioned and permitted by your Jewish God. You don't have to reply to my posts anymore as I see you can't see beyond your nose. Have a good day my friend and enjoying wallowing in myopic ignorance. |

Bidam: When you run mad after reading those books then you will realise i am not ignorant, maybe after you are delivered from it. Hope it won't be too late by then. With Jesus it is never late anyway. Have Sikhs run mad from reading the Guru Granth Sahib? Have Buddhists run mad from reading the Tripitaka? Have Hindus run mad from reading the Vedas? Have Zoroastrians run mad from reading the Zend Avesta? (In actual fact, Zoroastrianism had a huge influence on the development of Judaism and Christianity) Have Muslims run mad from reading the Koran? (It will be highly offensive and insulting to insinuate so.) You see my good friend and brother, you really need to sit down and study more. Conduct more research on the religions of the world before jumping to conclusions. I expect better from you. I am highly shocked that someone with a fine mind is as ignorant as you are in the Information Age. It's really sad. |

Bidam: I never hid the fact of where i came from before becoming a christian on this forum, you can check all my posts to see what i said. Maybe your christianity which you claimed you have never had a deep seated root in Christ. I do not see christianity as a religion but a lifestyle..like i said initially and still maintain ..stop delving into occultic books that are full of religious spirits..Either take that piece of advice or leave i don't care. Most folks that are far ahead of you in the spiritual have confessed that those books are dangerous and the best book is the bible. Your ignorance is simply beyond belief. |

Bidam: Pls don't delve into such books, they are not good for you spiritually...I am talking from experience based on hindsight. The bible is your best option anytime anyday.God bless you. Brother, for once in your life, please come off your high horse. This kind of intolerant argument is the reason we have conflict and wars today. How can you say and DETERMINE that the Bible is my best option? In one fell swoop, you condemned other religious text just because you believe the Bible is the TRUTH. Rather subjective opinion, isn't it. You Christians need some EDUCATION and just maybe a little bit HUMILITY. The mind boggles. I remember when I used to attend church back in those days; I went into a newsagent shop to have my travel card topped-up and the Asian man at the counter (who I was very good friends with) took one look at the Bible I placed on the counter and looked at me incredulously "You are a Christian?" He asked "Yes I am" I replied, wondering why he had that puzzled look on his face. "That book is evil. It contains accounts of genocide, murder and wanton killings condoned by God." He continued I had to agree with him on that one and didn't want to press the argument further because I knew he was largely referring to the Old testament and probably didn't know the other part of the Bible contained much more than that. So you see my friend, stop thinking of your Bible as the best book in the world. |

torchwave: Shdemidemi, Tgirl4real and Ayoku777. You guys have said all there is to say. Wonderful contribution. With the number of churches in Nigeria, I thought they would have influenced things for the better in that country. Didn't Jesus say: "Ye are the salt of the earth..." ~ Matthew 5:13a On the contrary, most churches in Nigeria (96% of them!) are "dens of robbers". The gospel they preach is one motivated by greed and personal enrichment and not one motivated by the need to bring succor to the weary, hope to the perishing and comfort to the hurting. Little wonder Nigeria is the way it is now. You see politicians who profess God with their mouth yet do not think twice about looting the commonwealth of the masses. "Shebi we go go church come pay tithe join." is what they say in their hearts. Your god of men do not hesitate to embrace them and give them positions of honor when they visit their churches. The poor and the weary who go there trusting to encounter God are mercilessly plundered of the little they have. You think you people know God in Nigeria? Far from it! All I see is religious gymnastics as a result of the harsh economic climate. The country I currently reside in care nothing for God or religion yet their government and its people have the greatest regard for human life. They care for one another and do everything to help the downtrodden in society even foreigners! You modern day Nigerian Christians do not know God! 1 Like |

For all those saying frosbel is confused; well, I have news for you: He is not confused. He is only evolving spiritually. He is becoming spiritually mature and before you all rain down on me like a ton of bricks, being spiritually mature is not measured by your Christian standards, which I find to be very hypocritical and narrow-minded. IF (and that's a very big, fat 'IF') I ever changed my mind to return to any religious institution, I would embrace the Baha'i faith. It is the only one that embraces the universal quest for a relationship with the Divine regardless of which religion you belong to. "The Baha'i faith is a monotheistic religion emphasizing the spiritual unity of all humankind. Three core principles establish a basis for Bahá'í teachings and doctrine: the unity of God, that there is only one God who is the source of all creation; the unity of religion, that all major religions have the same spiritual source and come from the same God; and the unity of humanity, that all humans have been created equal, and that diversity of race and culture are seen as worthy of appreciation and acceptance. According to the Bahá'í Faith's teachings, the human purpose is to learn to know and love God through such methods as prayer, reflection and being of service to humanity". ~ Source: Wikipedia The Baha'i faith also recognizes the need for progressive revelation. The Christian faith is still stuck in the revelation from the apostles. What is God saying now? God dey! |
