They will tell you that FG built Lagos and FG is not contributing anything to their region.
Same them will tell you that every household has a billionaire but they can't build anything substantial in that region other than their houses.

No,na ur papa build Lagos?

People who have no plot of land in Lagos would be claiming to be Lagosians.

The real indigenes of Lagos that we schooled with don't make noise.

All of u from Ogun state would be shouting igbos this, igbos that.

Igbos are like shining stars...no one can quench their fire...not even empty barrels like u.

What if the few you tried to make are only interested in envy, gossip of you and subtle hate? What next?

It is unfortunate situation for a man to be in such situation when his life start turning up gradually. Some want you to be wretched or have misfortunes inorder to feel good.

It is good to stand alone when friendship with like minded people is difficult to come by

This write up would help to check mate u now that it is not late yet.

I realised this earlier and that is why I have no friends but my wife till date.

Some would envy u and hate u for even doing well.

Her strength is not in education.

Both of u might be very good in relationship but not in academics.

Life has taught me that, education is not everything but if the person can read and write for me,that is more than enough.
After all, there are people who went to school like u yet no job,no hope and no opportunities for them at all and ended up badly in life thereafter.

Keep this girl and remember,u said she is a good girl. Get her a home teacher that would her help and improve herself.

Pls always correct her when she types or engages u in any conversation. Good girls are hard to find.

But in the absence of this,u can still go for ur class instead of going through this stress.

By age 30, you should have a circle of friends who discuss investing, entrepreneurship, and self-improvement.

Not gossip.

The person you become in 5 years is influenced by the people you surround yourself with today.

Choose your relationships wisely.

Politics / Re: List Of Oil Producing State 2024 & How Much They Got As 13% Derivation by Nice2023(m): 6:33pm On Aug 12
MadamVanessa:
shocked

Akwa Ibom state is the second largest oil producing state. Despite billions of allocation given to the state by the federal government, nothing much to show. My brothers and sisters there are living in penury, no work , nothing to show. A lot spent so much resources, gone to school even to Ph.d level still no work. Godswill Akpabio the clownish senate president now and Udom Emmanuel did nothing than looting the state even the present state governor Umoh Eno won't be an exception. Because they managed to construct roads and built some infrastructures, they've tried, and fóolish people keep on singing their praises without knowing how much this people gulped every month. Tackle poverty in Akwa Ibom, the rate of poverty and suffering in that state is saddening

How Akwa Ibom person for suffer tell me ? Or having the thought of going to other states to do house girl/boy for meagre pay. When I reason dis thing my head de boil. Politicians no go die better. God punish them.

This why I like states in Eastern region...human development index (HDI) is high in that region.

Regrettably, many young men and women from Akwaibom work as servants, gatemen and wash men and women all-over Nigeria all because of bad leadership...terrible.

After those huge roads, the poor can not use them because they have no car.

Poor people with good road is something I can't explain.

Family / Harvest Of My Backyard Farm In Far Away Eastern Nigeria. by Nice2023(m): 6:33pm On Aug 10
Here's a short story about a farm and harvest behind my house in far away Eastern Nigeria:

In a small village in Eastern Nigeria, a family turned their backyard into a farm, planting cassava, maize and vegetables. After months of hard work, they harvested their crops under the shade of palm trees. The aroma of the roasted corn filled the air as they celebrated their bounty with a traditional Igbo feast, giving thanks for the fertile land as well as their hard work in the city.

That is the short story of my wife and I.
I shall be taken some to the city for my children to have a taste of it too.

Education / Re: Are Yoruba Or Igbo Kids The Most Illiterate Tribe In Nigeria ? by Nice2023(m): 6:38am On Aug 07

Now you have to look at the level of illiteracy!

An illiterate from the East cannot even match his counterpart from the West. He is unexposed, unenlightened, and even archaic to modern norms. Double with his accent that identifies him anywhere he goes.

Illiteracy got levels!

A visit to ijebu says it all.

Family / Re: Property Lawyers In The House, Please Advise by Nice2023(m): 8:37pm On Aug 06
TooResilient:
Dear lawyers,

Please advise.

We have this tenant & his wife who are due for the next rent on 1st September but have already packed out as we speak but because their rental is still on, they locked our property.

They didn't want to tell us they've packed out yet but we already know. Now the problem is that, we want to start looking for another tenant who might want to inspect the place before any transaction.

So I advised my parents that we observe their absence from the flat for 2 or 3 days. If they no longer come around to pack whatever is left of their property, we will call them to confirm that they have finally left the place. If we don't get a straightforward reply, we'd go report to the police because a tenant that is gone can not just lock 🔒 up our property for personal emotional reasons (anger & revenge) when he no longer resides there.

We will report to the police who will come & unlock the place while we video capture all event.

1. If they still have some property, we'll leave but if it's empty,

2. We'll leave the place open for new tenants.

Is this the right measure? What do you advise?

Thank you,

Their rent is not due yet.
