Hitv is finished.if ctl ask subscribers 2 pay 4k,dey would pay because dey have enough mouie channels and entertainment

HiTV still stands to make alot of money if they focus on:
Expanding their reach to other part of Nigeria to catch new subscribers ,
Acquire more interesting contents to reduce churn (Movies channels, documentary channels etc, Sport channel that focus on other sport)
reduce their subscription back to 4k 0r 4.5k.

Without pl & cl mytv is far better dan hitv. i got tired of dem and found a far better paytv which is ctl.hitv want

yes! they are the one raining now cos they have all what you want but u dint tell us about their 4m diameter dish(dat cant even pass tru some people's gate).what about yearly sbscription of about 175k(aljazeera - 120,showtime 55k)

There are varying sizes of dish and which starts from 2.4m and upto 4.4m, and yes it might not pass through the gate of some people, thats why all fingers are not equal.

On the subscription aspect, like they say "know your way no be curse", you might not know that you do not need to subscribe to enjoy al-jazeera, art, and showsports (yes, there will be downtime), but even with subscription, is not as high as you said, do you know there is a subscription for showtime that is as low as 9k or aljazeera that is as low as 20k.  Yes, THOSE PRICES ARE FOR A WHOLE YEAR.

Do you want to compare that with the ridiculous price of 20k for one month from our own HITV?

Please, don't confuse those that might find Nile/Aljazeera as an option.

For those of you who do not have space, consider putting a 2.4m pan dish or 3m fibre dish above your roof, that is how to create space where there is no space.

Goodness, do you think thats how pay tv works? Its not like your local channels that buy 16 in 1 and be showing you.

You have to pay to the content owners to show movies. Yes, Hitv needs to buy content but the way you are thinking is not the way it is done.

dey started from lagos.find out any dealer dat sells mytv,dstv,hitv 2gether dey would be able 2 help u get ctl.it's 18k

If you feel CTL is the best why don't you open another Forum for them on another page to promote it and not on the one reserved for HiTV (NOTE:- all the channels/contents aired on CTL are illegal and they would soon have them self to blame.please write all your comments on one post.

you are right ,they taught increasing the fee cos of CL would make people go for it but they got it wrong. their business development officer must have done them a lot of HARM.it was when they realised this that they started fighting viewing centers cos they know people would go there to watch thier matches.
one thing i forgot to tell you in is that the next EPL bidding is in 2months time and they are bitting more than wat they can chew by also bidding for AFRICA right which DSTV holds presently.

how do you expect them to survive without doing that. It's not like they want to bid for Africa, it's that they have no choice. A lot of people don't know that the Spanish league rights they had was for the whole of Africa. They didn't want to buy for Africa but they were forced to because the La Liga sales agent wouldn't sell for Nigeria alone. Because they only are based in Nigeria, reselling the rights was tough when your competitors control everywhere else.
That's why they didn't bid against DSTV for the rights again.

It's also why they find it tough to get channels. Multichoice buy up all the rights for Africa on most of the channels and you have to convince these companies to think of Nigeria as a separate market. That's why they are building a consortium of countries to bid for the rights. Competition is good. Look at what competition did to DSTV. It forced them to expand bouquets and introduce different price points. Let them become a monopoly again. You will see the change.

Let me inform you that HiTV is not taking any channel from MyTV.HiTV added kidsco,E!,Etc before MyTV,and by the way all those channel are there for any operator to get if and only if you can pay for them.

Not every channel is suitable for every platform(E.G-not because MyTV or DStv added SET means HiTV most add it.

Go to www.hitv.com.ng/fixtures to get all the info of matches that would be aired on the platform.HiTV will air 4 LIVE matches and 4 delayed on tuesday and wednesday.

HiTV terminated the contract of Animax and not the other way round.
