Politics / Nigeria Which Way???? APC + PDP = LP Are We Not Seeing by Nightwolves: 11:00pm On Sep 06, 2022
All of us youths need to come together as one whether Igbo, Yoruba, Hausa, Muslim, Christian, or traditionalist, e no matter. Nd we don’t need to fight ourselves over Who to Vote or not

If we go fit close our eyes to the artificial differences wey dem take dey oppress and thief us blind, una go understand say Nigeria dey salvageable, and our collective enemies wey no many reach we wey dem dey oppress go run leave this country if dem get the chance.

Person wey know himself no fit die two times, na only coward dey die before him real death come.

Nigerian matter don dey weigh me down for too long and I no fit pretend say e no concern me again. Even if I go lose my life in the process to get one better movement going to begin to reclaim our country back so that we go get something to enjoy small for the small life wey still remain for us, and to also get something and country to handover to our children wey dem don born and the one's wey dem never born, I no mind at this level abeg.

Na 2023 dey come so and na another election dem wan do. The same thieves wey don destroy our country and future don already dey warm up and the worst thing be say na youths like us dey project and sing their praises even though say dem know say these people na we collective enemies wey no care about us but for themselves and their families.

For the forty years wey I don live for this life and country, na the same people wey don rule from when dem dey their 20s and 30s still dey rule us even when dem don reach 80 years. These one's na people wey be say dem don suppose retire make we the youths dey take care of dem.

My papa na 75 years him don retire since. Me don move out comot from him house start my own family as things suppose be. The only thing wey I owe my parents na to care for dem but dem no fit decide how I want take live my life with my family. So, why the case go dey different for national or governance level.

These one's na people wey don rule my papa, rule me, rule my children wey I Don born, want still rule the one's wey I never born, before their children go still come take over from where their parents stop. Haba na, even if na juju, e suppose get expiry date.

As I dey write for pidgin so, no be say I no sabi Eliza language oh, but the level be say, I want make sure say my message reach and enter our people head well because this pidgin so, na him be the one language wey we all get in common. Whether you go school or not, this pidgin na him be the language wey we all take dey communicate so tey even our old people for village go understand wetin we dey talk and where we dey go.

You see the language issue, all the big big grammar wey the politicians dem dey speak na him dem take dey thief, alienate, sideline, confuse, threaten, and make the generality of our people docile and lack interest for the governance issue and process. Dem dey deliberately use big grammar take bamboozle and intimidate the poor people wey dey the majority and make dem lose hope for governance matter.

By the time we fit use pidgin like this take carry everybody along and make dem understand say the people wey we dey call leaders na looters and enemies of state, we all go begin see the change wey we want and a reawakening go begin happen.

Nothing stop us to come together to begin to dey angle for the 2023 through this movement wey me dey propose from here so.

The truth be say nothing wey we no go fit achieve if we come together with one mind and say "enough is enough" make we take back our country and future to determine how we want make e go.

If na money to take face the thieves dem that one no be problem we go fit raise money to match dem if we unite abi no be we be the youths wey dey control the cyber-world and fund raising? If na to create publicity for our movement that na small thing, abi no be we youths dey handle the old people social media accounts plus go sing for dem during their rallies?

The truth be say, we get everything wey we need to take change our lives and decide how we want make our country be.

This movement go be all inclusive and everybody go get chance to take talk him own on how him want make we take tackle and handle things wey we want do.

We all know say the major and number one problem wey we get with our country na the nonsense wey dem dey call the present government-bible (constitution). That constitution na wetin dem purposely arrange to take favor all the nonsense wey dem dey fit do today. So, the first thing wey we go do na to siddon, hold mock constitutional review committee online after we all don study the present nonsense to know wetin we go remove and add to make am a true government Bible, and to make am difficult for any one person to take do anyhow because by then we go don arrange well so that anybody wey do anyhow go see anyhow based on our collective agreement.

From there we go decide wetin to do with the people wey don mismanage our common wealth and corner everything for them and their children. Whether na to build zoo pack all of dem put while we negotiate for dem to refund so that we go get money take begin rebuild oh, or to forcefully strip dem of everything and waste dem oh, na we all go come decide wetin we want by then. But the truth be say things no go ever remain the same again.

As the matter dey go, we go leave their demonic APC and PDP for dem. We go find our own level to match dem one on one as we proceed.

Abeg my fellow youths, make una no believe say Nigeria no dey salvageable come dey run go another man country when e be say las las you must come back house and another man country no go ever fit be like your own country and by then na one person wey no even go primary school na him go come become political leader for your country because him no run like you and na him go dey determine how the country wan be whether you like am or not.

Me wey this matter dey so for body like this ehn, this same suffer head because of useless leaders don make me run go oyibo country go do all sorts of rubbish just to survive and at the end of the day I don come back to my country na still the same bullshit wey make me run before still dey go down and even worse sef.

Any time una dey say Nigeria don finish, e no fit change again, or "the best thing na to run comot for this country no look back again", the thieves mind dey sweet because dem know say nobody dey challenge dem.

Abeg make we all come together begin to dey discuss how we want take do our matter and future. Only one person no go fit do this matter that's why I dey beg una to come with una suggestions, ideas and expertise make we start this movement and begin to rally people of like minds to join and close ranks with us.

I just open this thread for this movement and idea sharing.
Abeg make everybody wey know say the status quo don tire am and him wan see change come this thread and direct people come make we begin discuss. Even if you no sabi pidgin, abeg come drop your idea or suggestions for Queen Eliza language, kpatakpa I go interpret am for others to understand.

Make una no vex for my pidgin abeg, I no fit come this life just go like dat without making any impact for my life, generation, and country

The Nigeria issue really is bad. And its good that we already know that its ONLY possible to make change if and only if we do it in a group formation. Remember, there is ALWAYS POWER IN NUMBERS.

The question is HOW do we as Nigerians get this change we NEED?
We have a lot of problems which birth more problems making Nigerians find it hard to live in Nigeria.
•Political thuggery,

•Police /SARS brutality (I have been on gun point with the police for at least twice for absolutely no reason).,

•Election rigging,

•Unemployment (imagine jobless Nigerian buying Jobs especially govt jobs as high as 250,000 per slot, that's if you'll even get the job.

•Gross decay of our educational system,

•Mind blowing corruption ( like seriously, in Nigeria -snakes can swallow Billions of Naira, rats can invade a presidential villa and Billions be spent to repel the rats. and its fine for our government to dole out this crazy news knowing that dumb Nigerian will just make jokes about it and calm down, comedy is all we like right?

Worse so, youths don't have jobs in Nigeria and worst is that other countries either deny us entry or restrict Nigerians from employment in their countries. This makes us stuck in odd positions of unemployment, impoverished living, stress etc while our Rulers are killing us in and out.

The list of our wahala is endless and mostly linked to our government (both the voters and the voted for and more especially the clowns that refuse to ever vote).

So the question is still. What or How can the change be achieved?

We should try as much as we can to get students and young professionals involved in this movement. It is our movement, our future, our lives, and our country at stake. We can't be as docile as our parents had been to leave it all to the demons while sitting like lame ducks who'd complain and resort to prayers of "God dey" to wish it out. We are taking action to wrest our country from the stranglehold of the vampires such that our kids born and unborn would be proud of us when they hear or read the history of our patriotism and quiet revolt.

Needless to say , the so called 20 years of democratic dispensation has not only dispensed with the lives and welfare of the Nigerian people, the so called transition is notting but a transition from military dictatorship to civilian authoritarianism. The past 20years have however revealed that the PDP & APC have no fundamental difference other than such difference that exists between an armed robber and 419. both anti-poor parties are like the biblical satan who have only come to steal from the masses , kill them with bullets of poverty , insecurity , inadequate healthcare and finally to wreck destruction on their Future.

Now we have LP that had been a dumping ground with Doyin Okupe chilling In it Nd a Finger of PDP.

We have the likes of OMOYELE sowore out there

Romance / Re: What’s Marriage Really Like by Nightwolves: 2:09am On Jul 20, 2020
My dear!!!!!!

My dear?!!!!
My dear again!!!

Marriage is fun and full of surprises... if you guyz just sit at home.. then that’s the origin of getting bored always.

First thing you and you boo need to do... ask your self a questions.. engage him in a convo... about social lifestyle... if he doesn’t have and you also don’t have.. wow then you guy need to step the game up. take a stroll to a nice bar.. together.. order for grilled croaker fish/ cat fish pepper soup/ And if u guyz don’t drink beer. Order for malt or juice.. you guyz will see different things that’s interesting.

now as for friends that you can’t hang in with Enzo better replace them with ur partner... cook for him eat together... disturb him, play games together... on a Sunday.. you guyz can take a stroll for evening... or maybe sit and watch a nice movie... play ludo, what ever he doesn’t to keep him company ... learn it.. challenge him....

Don’t say I didn’t warn you. Don’t fight him or blame him. Don’t check his phones... trust me if you try this everyday... you will keep enjoying it... if child come enter. Na chi old ten go Dey do that one. Disturb both of u

Don’t say that sir or ma, people hide at home but not us.. we come out but neutral people refuse to join it. Nd makes us few out there... cowards are afraid of t he government arms called police TASKFORCE and soldiers now soldiers are among us
andyanders:

Nobody my sister. We Nigerians are cowards. We can hide and ONLY come online to rant. Only South Africans who don't care of their personal lives, but fought for the lives of their yet unborn children, hence great people like Mandela fought for the freedom which their people are enjoying now.

Our own case in Nigeria is just that our leaders are after looting than governance, hence our present predicament. Too bad.

Politics / Demonization Of Tribe by Nightwolves: 2:43am On Jul 19, 2020
I've noticed 1 core problem of so called patriotic Nigerians. That problem is d demonization of TRIBALISM.

1st of all, d word itself is condescendin, insultin & colonial.

D Igbo, Yoruba, Hausa, Ijaw, Fulani etc are ETHNIC nations jst like d English, French Spanish, Italian and other such ETHNIC nations around d world.

It is wen u go within d IGBO NATION, 4 example, that u then find tribes wit their dialects of d same Igbo language. Like d Nkanu, Ngwa, Owere & other such Igbo tribes.

Why am i pointing this out? It because i believe that we mst 1st acknowledge that Nigeria is a union of many nations & then create a workable system that'll ensure peace & equity among those nations.

Shoutin ONE NIGERIA or UNITY OF NIGERIA IS NON-NEGOTIABLE or NO TRIBALISM won't solve our problems.

If Nigeria can entrench fairness & remain united, good. But if Nigeria continues 2favour only d British & their Fulani collaborators, it's time 4d IGBO, YORUBA, IJAW, BINI & other nations 2hv independence abeg, biko, ejor, mbok.

It is good that we all are in the same page, it is good that we understand what we really want, cos the way some of us are sounding it is as if we don't really know the focus of this movement, I believe that this movement is about making Nigeria better, it is about stopping corruption, it's about stopping injustice, it is about development, I Hope we all agree with this?

Now, I have seen some people write that these movement is not about revolution, nor it is about war,( of course it will be suicidal and stupid if we think we can fight the Nigeria army face to face) but let's make our selves care this movement (should) be about revolution and war, if not how do we think we are going to make Nigeria better and develop when the people who run the day to day activities of the nation are corrupt and are bent on using the country's resources for their personal gain.

No matter how we sensitise the people, no matter how we try to change this evil Nigerian culture ( selfishness, greediness, corruption, e.t.c) without removing or stoping those who controls and creates this environment, then we are just fooling ourselves, it will be like constantly pouring clean water into a dirty and contamination bucket hoping that the water will be clean, no! In other to make the water clean that bucket but be cleaned or changed, another example, this is like teaching students to read hard so that they won't sort again while the lecturer says he won't pass them unless they sort, what do you think will happen? If we think that we are going to bring change and development in Nigeria hoping not to challenge the leaders, then we are just playing here.

we can't match the Nigerian army with weapons, I agree, but there are many ways to fight a war, we can make the social media our battlefield, we can start there, we can shut down the Nigerian cyberspace with demands of what we want form the government ( it may be the new constitution we drafted or something from it) of course they are not going to do it knowing them, that's part of the plan we will do it for weeks or even months, we will make sure what we want gets international attention, we will make sure we tag CNN, BBC, or the major international news outlets, until they notice us, when it becomes an international news we will move on to the next phase,( I won't say it for now) all we have to do is to be smart, even if this one do not work we will find another strategy. Truth be told we can't change anything if we don't stop the problem ( our leaders). I know why I say so, there has never been an change in system or status quo of any nation that didn't come through a revolution. I know, cos this is my discipline, I'm a political scientists.

I'm happy we are going back into history. History in itself is a subject we don't take serious in this country and not just known history but the unknown history (that is the reason behind certain evils). It will help us if we really want to chart out something meaning for the future as youths else history will keep repeating itself Wether you are aware of it or not. There's a reason I like South Africa although they have their own setbacks they're developed. They didn't rush into independence like us, they kept on partnering with the whites. The Uk gave north the power over Nigeria because they didn't rush for independence and so found a loyal servant (glorified slaves). Oil is loved by the north that's why we can't practice true federalism and democracy. Let's even go deeper! Nigeria is an owned property we have to start seeing it like that first. It's just like someone buying a land in another person's community legally then after many years the children of the land want to claim the land back without any payment to the person that bought the land legally, on the authority that it was their land in the first place (it's not going to possible except there's war which I assure us we can't win). Nigeria is a brand name given to it by the bank that bought it the Royal Niger they have metamorphose into Unilever, UAC etc. Yes true peaceful change can start to happen if we actually key into our owners core values. I don't want to go deeper because it will start to enter some conspiracy theories kind of stuff although true will be very absurd to hear. So it goes beyond greed, corruption or governmental systems. I just want us as youths to do better regarding where we live and and throw away all forms of bitterness, hatred, religious bias, tribalism, selfishness etc etc.
Politics / Irony Of Life In Nigeria. WAKEUP!!!!! by Nightwolves: 12:35am On Jul 19, 2020
Rich man marries and have 4 children. Poor man marries and start mass production of children that he can't afford to train because the only thing that gives poor man joy is the body of his wife.

The country has beaten him to the level that sex is his only idea of enjoyment.

Politicians steal your money, sleep with your wife and girlfriends and sister, make sure you don't go to school, even when you struggle to, he makes sure you don't finish on time let alone getting a job.

He sends his children to the best schools abroad so they will take over from him when he is done playing with your future.

He initiates a poverty alleviation program, videos himself cutting tapes during the mounting of an electric pole. He gives you N4000, bags of rice at rallies and arms to fight his opponents.

He paints the roads and puts Street lights when there are no light in your home. You hail him!

He spends millions on billboards of his fake projects, hires the best PR experts to keep you drooling with hunger and uninformed and keep on doing damages to your common sense. You defend him.

Second tenure, no jobs, no food, the N4000 has finished and the bag of rice wasting in the pit of your toilet. He must recover the billions he spent buying your votes. For he is not qualified to lead but you qualified him.

You start making use of the guns he bought for you. You kill the poor like yourself who is suffering the effects of the N4000 and bag of rice that you took. You try to Kidnap his friends, their police orderlies fire back at you.

His friends tell him that there is insecurity in town and it will affect their mobilization for him for second term.

He shouts ahhhh, second tenure is like the second round of sex that puts one to sleep after, except, perhaps, he works for vivid entertainment or one of those Hollywood porn industries.

He complains of lack of security to the commissioner of police and General Officer Commanding, Air Officer commanding or the Flag Officer Commanding.

He spends millions hosting them. They tell him what to do. By now, you have become a threat.

He buys even a bigger gun for the police and the military plus operational vehicles.

He pays for radio and TV jingles to warn you.

You rob, you die. You protest, you die. You stay at home, you die of starvation.

Then, you get recommended to a church/mosque and since you can't pay tithes, pastor/imam turns you into an errand boy.

He sends you to buy biscuits for his children, wash pants for his wife and clean his cars.

You sweep the church/mosque for free while awaiting your heavenly reward while the pastor/imam fly private jets and drive flashy sedans.

You are happy that your pastor/imam is rich and argue for him in midst of your friends.

He runs to the UK/Dubai at the slightest symptoms of headache but prays for you when you are sick and tells you to bring your sick mother to church/mosque for prayers instead of taking her to hospitals to waste money.

She dies and he tells you that it was God's will while his mother has been in the UK/Dubai for months receiving the best treatment that tithes can buy.

You meet your Rev. Pastor, General Overseer, Chief Imam who are now your daddy and their wives are your mummy for assistance to pay your rent, feed or go to hospitals for treatment, they place you on 7 days dry fasting and prayer and deliverance services and assure you that healing and prosperity are of God, if you will worship him in his true holiness.

If you fail to make it to church/mosque, you be the one to condemn yourself before any other. You're already enslaved by what they tell you but they don't do what they tell you.

The General overseers and Chief Imam, the occultists, native doctors, big time corporate fraudsters and politicians meet in a dinner at Dubai to decide your fate.

He buys a new land for a new church/mosque branch, you help to carry blocks and turn concrete, then collect blessings as reward. You are happy to be working for the salvation of your soul, heaven will pay.
The pastor/imam lives his heaven on earth.

The new church/mosque building is completed on your sweat.

He invites the president, governor, senator, house of representative member and every other person who made sure that you are poor by design.

The whole area is policed with guns and armored cars. You are comfortably seated at the back while straining your neck to see who and who came.

The president and governor and senator plus their contractor friends donate hundreds of millions for the new church/mosque while you cheer from the back.

The food they shared didn't get to you but you are happy the president and governor and senator came to your church/mosque. You even brag to others of how your pastor/imam is well connected.

You get home, hunger Knocks angrily on the belly door, your neighbor bails you out while you wait for heaven to pay.

10 years on the jobless job, pastor's/imam's children have been sent abroad for studies. Age is no longer on your side, pastor/imam hooks you up with another aunty that sweeps the church/mosque for free with no education just like you and Weds you both on a Friday evening church/mosque service and you are happy. Your children starts the cycle all over again.

What is the difference between an Ordinary Thief (OT) & a Political Thief (PT)?

1) The *Ordinary Thief* steals your money, bag, watch, gold chain etc.;
But the *Political Thief* steals your future, career, education, health & business!

2) The hilarious part is: The *Ordinary Thief* will choose whom to rob; But you, yourself chose the *Political Thief* to rob you.

3) The most ironic one: Police will chase and nab the *Ordinary Thief;* while the Police will look after and protect the *Political Thief!*

That’s the *travesty cum irony* of our current society!

And, we blindly say we are not blind!

It may not make sense to many but just read and be wise.

If we don’t Join a Party with a revolutionary Movement. What are we doing? We can’t keep visiting a country which is working. And abandon our Country which is being ruled by expired elites...

Politics / Re: Gunmen Kidnap Wife, Son Of Former Edo Speaker Hours After His Death by Nightwolves: 10:07pm On Jul 18, 2020
They ignore Revolution and now see what is happening? We go get sense soon.

We received over a thousand reports/complaints from highways across Nigeria this week, all bordering on the criminal activities of Police officers who have surpassed the threats of armed robbers and kidnappers on our highways. These reports have been corroborated by operators.

The increase in harassment of road travelers by some members of the #Police force and SARS (tactical squads generally) team. Buses are indiscriminately stopped on the highway, commuters are asked to step down for a prolonged search & privacy violated with illegal phone searches.

Some passengers are detained if not abducted while the driver is advised to proceed on the journey. This act has become too rampant and poses a SECURITY threat on travelers. This illegality has now become a culture & rights of rogue police officers.

Law abiding and tax paying operators (all organized transporters) conveying Nigerians accross the nation have to combat bad roads, kidnapping , arm robbery, etc. and should not have to deal with police harassment, oppression and indiscriminate abductions.

The excesses demonstrated by some officers in the discharge of their duties need to be curbed. This illegality and brigandage won’t buy our embattled Police institution the public trust they badly need. Soon the people will revolt.

Transporters & logistic operators are hereby charged to insist on completing their obligations to their customers on the manifest. They owe them a duty of care. Stop leaving your commuters behind to rogue Police officers operating outside the law without warrants.

Unless the subject is an actual suspect in an ongoing investigation proven by a warrant with his name on it, please insist on taking your passengers with you. Also never allow police officers to search anyone’s phone. It is illegal. Get an escort or partner with Àmòtékùn.

The madness may not End until we take drastic actions. Billions have been extorted by rogue Police officers on our highways beyond the ransoms paid to terrorists and kidnappers in the past 4years as records show. You owe the commuters that much to protect them.

If this madness continues before Christmas we may have to push for legislation that will enable credible citizens to Arm themselves against institutional brigandage and gross impunity since it is yet to be prioritized by Government. Our lives matter. The madness ends now.

#EndPoliceHarassment #EndImpunity

*Our Advice is:* Anytime this happens, note location and time plus physical features to help in identification with ease, pls.

Our lawmakers and ministers don’t ply this roads or encounter this people.. so they will not do anything.

jarawa:
Gunmen have kidnapped the wife and a son of the late former Speaker of the Edo House of Assembly, Zakawanu Garuba’s hours after his demise. Garuba, a two-time member of Edo Assembly died Saturday morning at an Abuja hospital.

Daily Trust learnt that Mrs Zakawana and her son who were travelling from Abuja to Auchi were abducted at Irepeni axis of Lokoja- Okene highway. The gunmen also kidnapped their driver but left behind the deceased lawmaker’s aged mother because of her frailty.

The Kogi state Commissioner of Police, Ayuba Ede, said he got information of a kidnap incident around Okene, but could not confirm the exact situation. “Yes, I heard of a kidnap incident around Okene and, I have sent my policemen to the area to ascertain the correct position of things. I do not know what exactly happened, so I cannot confirm what I don’t know.

My men have gone their already,” the CP explained. However, the command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Ayah William said following the information, police swung into action and rescued three persons. It was not certain whether the family of the late former speaker were among those rescued as he did not give their identity.

Daily Trust reports that there has been a spike in kidnapping activities on the Kogi axis of the Abuja-Lokoja and Lokoja-Okene highway with consequent fatalities within the last two months, while many have been abducted along the now dreaded federal route.

Among the recent casualties were an Army captain and two naval officers who met their death in the hands of gunmen along Lokoja-Okene highway.

Crime / Lawmakers & Ministers Ignoring The #endsars by Nightwolves: 10:04pm On Jul 18, 2020

All of us youths need to come together as one whether Igbo, Yoruba, Hausa, Muslim, Christian, or traditionalist we have to fight this collective

Politics / Nigerian Youth! Our Sentiment Is Letting The Elite Defeat Us by Nightwolves: 4:39am On Jul 18, 2020
the way the matter dey do me for body make me Repost this thread.

The matter don dey pain me for body since but na this thread

https://www.nairaland.com/5170646/billionaire-lifestyle-nigerian-politicians-poverty

come make am touch my liver well well.

All of us youths need to come together as one whether Igbo, Yoruba, Hausa, Muslim, Christian, or traditionalist, e no matter.

Crime / Quick Responds To Police Brutality And Extortion by Nightwolves: 8:07pm On Jul 16, 2020
*Good Evening Distinguish,* It may interest you to know that 9 Officers of the SARS/AKS were punished, demoted and dismissed in Kwara in the last few weeks over misconduct, harassment, extortion and threat to life.

5 of them are from the Sars team and were dismissed on gross misconduct, while 4 of the AKS were demoted. More info will be decimated on this platform soon. However, it’s unfortunate that the Force Units have decided not to make this public due to one of two reasons. While investigation is ongoing on the names and details of those rogues, let’s ensure the following details are encouraged.

Please when you experience any form of extortion intimidation or illegal activities from any police office, please do not keep quite.

Such issues can easily be handled if they are reported immediately not after many days of such occurrence

*The power is in your hands*

At least you have access to Twitter, tweet about your experience & tag necessary people. This way it would be easy to generate traction and social engagement to help you.

If you know anyone who is also a victim of police brutality, help them to escalate. You are enough!

The more you keep reporting them, the more we expose the rot in the police and the more we flush out the bag eggs among them (though they are many).

Those who collected 260k from @_VALKlNG would like lose their jobs; this would send a signal to their peers.

If you come forward to report criminal elements in police uniform when they extort you, you are not only helping yourself, you are also helping others.

Just like @_VALKlNG did, others would also have courage in the future to do same thing and bit by bit we flush out bad officers

You can also report cases of such to Distinguish Tosin Olugbenga @TosinOlugbenga,Harrison Gwamnishu (Behind Bars)@HarrisonBbi18, and ACP Markus Ishaku Basiran @AcpIshaku

Crime / International Rated The Nigerian Police by Nightwolves: 10:28pm On Jul 14, 2020
In 2016, The World Internal Security and Police Index International rated the Nigerian Police Force as the worst police organisation in the world.

Any normal government would have made changes.

Nigeria is just a lawless country.

Police officers are all corrupt.

(Today's Story Features:- Bakare Olumide:*

According to Olumide, He suffered from harrasment and extortion in the hands of the police officers in Lagos ystdy.

*Read Below:*

Some members of the Nigerian Police (Ogudu branch), forced a confession, statement and N260,000 out of me yesterday.

They beat, threatened & made me feel completely powerless. I have not recovered from the harassment, but I need this story to be out there.

They stopped my Uber and asked the driver to drive us straight to ogudu police station.

When we got there, they took us to one small corner in the police station with a 2 wooden rooms. They collected my phones, my airpods, ID card.

Even as I explained that I was an influencer & I work for several brands, they kept on searching my email, IG, Twitter, & my WhatsApp for God knows what.

After asking questions which I gave proper answers to, they saw one text in a group chat I'm in that read “gay men dey pay”

It was a discussion I was having with some friends about closeted gay activities we'd heard rumors about. On seeing that, the officer searching my phone said "this one na gay"

I was like "Gay?" and I laughed cuz the whole thing was ridiculous.

Next thing he said "you think say I dey follow you laugh", told me to take off my shirt and started beating me with a pipe. They forced me to write a statement saying I had male clients who paid me to have casual sex with them, and even listed name for me.

They told me to add amounts to the front of the names too and recorded me confessing (at gun point). When they saw my account balance, they demanded for half a million, saying they would send this video to the brands I work for, post it online and they’ll lock me for days

so I won’t be able to counter it. They said they could even kill me there.

After begging and everything, they agreed to collect N260k. They didn’t collect transfer, instead, they called someone to come, so I could send via Paga.

Afterwards, they told me it’s better to do yahoo than to be gay, coz according to them "yahoo go dey pay better"

I didn't want to take any steps. I just wanted to carry on tweeting as though all was well, but it's not.

I have been devastated since yesterday and I don't know what to do.

*#End of Story*

*Our Advise:* It continues when we refuse to report it. We take no prisoners. Report them and watch how swift Justice can be.

It could happen to anyone of us. But the problem is Everyone is too relaxed
