Politics / Re: Goodluck Jonathan Assembled “Nigeria’s Finest Brains” by nobaga: 7:32pm On Jul 24
Placarding different ethnic groups cannot hide the fact that it was an Igbo dominated Government. Not surprising in that Jonathan himself was or is a Biafran. Maybe that is why the Op thinks it was the best Government.

Comparatively, OBJ had the best brains. Brains are not enough. Nigeria has never been short of brains. It is the leader and those elected that make the difference.

Ironically, Ikonjo Iweala you portrayed as a star, never had a private sector job. The same lady that did well under the supervision of Obasanjo and lectured us about paying off our Debt, did badly under Jonathan.

It was the same Iweala that praised the benefit of a good debtor under Jonathan to plunged us into the beginning of incurable debt.

Our money, our oil, we can do anything we want with it. Nigeria went from the richest to the poorest in the world. Even when there were surplus foreign Oil Income.

Politics / Minorities Too Interested In Power By Blackmail. Or Any Means by nobaga: 12:42pm On Jul 20
When are other minorities other than Fulani, Igbo, Yoruba and Ijaw going to be President?

Each of them has not benefited their people. Yet those who cry the loudest and deny ever being President think we have no memory.

Remember that President Nnamdi Azikiwe handed over to Nwafor Orizu and he handed power to President General Ironsi. The Head of the first coup was Nzeogwu.

We are waiting for Efik/Ibibio, Bini, Igbira and Plateau areas President.

You go all over social media trolling Tinubu and his ethnic group the same way you Yearn For Abacha. You guys have a long history in Nigeria of turning off those who support your causes and benefactors.

Yet you won't stay away. Always "travu" like invasive carcinoma spreading your ordained message to rule others but cannot even rule yourselves.

Stay home away from where you have abused your welcome. They are sick and tired of you. Each time you rule Nigeria, no matter how short or long, you bring calamity.

All you pursue is ego in foreign account as long as they throw you bananas.

Brendaniel:

The north spoke and you attacked the south east, are you so much of a coward that you can't fight back those attacking you?

So what did Tinubu come and do? He came to watch them kill themselves as what, commander in views?

As if you didn't join in enthroning Tinubu because of tribalism...
Truly failure has no friend...

They are talking about Tinubu, you are talking about Abacha, you are trying to divert attention away from the real matter on ground...

Well, all I will say is we warned you guys about Tinubu...

Protest peacefully in your states if you want but do not hijack peaceful protest to demonstrate your warped and illogical Yeah For Abacha to destroy other people's state.

Where were you or what pushed you out of your states to Greener Pasture daily?

The wave of intolerance leading to zero accommodation of neighbors as Brexit in UK, discrimination against East Germans despite electing former President Angela Merkel and now in France are strong messages to Africans to take and respect one another.

Do not be fooled, the best place for Blacks is Africa. Appreciate your village, cities, towns and respect your neighbors.

Politics / Women Are No Longer Political Or Cultural Tool by nobaga: 12:49pm On Jun 27
I might as well educate you.

Yoruba women are the most desirable wives in Nigeria. If you are lucky enough to marry one, they will make your a Chief in your village for bringing home the most Precious. woman in Nigeria.

The reason is they are fiercely Independent, well cultured and well informed. When other ethnic groups ostracized and rejected their women for political and high positions, Yoruba women put Yoruba men in their place marrying whoever they wanted.

Other ethnic groups who marry Yoruba bestow the honors and privileges of Yoruba land on their children.

The most desirable place in Africa

Remember, Yoruba women can inherit and buy land in Yoruba LAND.

https://thenews-chronicle.com/needed-successful-state-no-matter-where-gender-as-in-western-nigeria/

This was the beginning of the slide to selfishness, greed and conspicuous spending like drunken sailors that were never seen before. Nigerians became notorious at home and outside as big spenders. African greed for foreign income was encouraged by the world powers Rush for Oil, Gold, Diamond, Uranium etc through illegal mining in villages. Ethnic African groups fought over the proceeds resulting in civil wars.

Kwame Nkrumah, the first African leader to foresee the power of the Cocoa Cartel, formed the Cocoa Producing Countries cartel but was betrayed by South America producers. This was well before the Arab Embargo when the Oil Cartel dictated their prices resulting in unprecedented foreign incomes. It was the same Cocoa Income Awolowo used to develop Western Nigeria into an attractive economic destination for Africans.

Migration within Nigeria and from outside into the Western Region propelled the economy because of the development of human capital with Cocoa Cooperative, industrial estates, free education, healthcare for everyone regardless of ethnic, race, creed or gender as long as you are in the Western Region.

Tolerance and accommodation was the pride of the Region. Western Nigeria was where world citizens got along. The expanded Free Education attracted teachers from neighboring countries and as far out as Asian countries apart from Europe and America. If you hold your leaders accountable, they produce desired results. Do not run or melt into the walls when backed up.
Politics / Needed: Successful State No Matter Where Gender As In Western Nigeria by nobaga: 1:25am On Jun 22
NEEDED: SUCCESSFUL STATE NO MATTER WHERE GENDER AS IN WESTERN NIGERIA

We need a successful not a failed state, region or country in Africa right now. The bottom line; it does not matter which state or country takes the leadership in Africa. Africans at home and in the Diaspora should be able to rely on opportunities to succeed at home. Western Region in Nigeria is the latest successful Region managed by Africans for Africans’ success. We know how it got to be and we can retrace our steps for future success.

All of us cannot depend on any failed state. There is no doubt that if foreigners seek opportunities and success anywhere in the world, Africa where there are abundant natural resources and the most arable land is the place to explore. There is no Superpower that is not involved in at least one country in Africa for sustenance. The Scramble and Amalgamation of Africa was not by accident.

Before Independence, the Western part of Nigeria progressed internally and became the First In Africa in many fields that surpassed some countries in Europe. The progressive development attracted those looking to Africa for opportunities from within, Europe, Asia and Americas. There were American Peace Corps and Canadian Service Corps jokingly labeled CUSO (Canadian Unemployed Shipped Overseas). Many Youths stayed after service.

The President of Ghana at Harvard lecture in Cambridge reminded the world that Nigeria was the place to be before the 80s, when Nigerians got red carpet treatment in the Western world. Unfortunately, after the Curse of Oil brought in unprecedented foreign income into Nigeria, Western Nigerians abandoned their Region to take part of the National Cake at the Federal level. The Curse was infectious, killing motivation.

Foreign Affairs / Re: If Elected, I Will Begin the largest deportation operation In US History - Trump by nobaga: 12:02pm On Jun 16
Is it not ironic that most of the supporters of Trump are migrants that try to overwhelm their neighbors and even become leaders where they don't belong in the first place.

They cry racism, ethnic bashing, xenophobia and intolerance in the only place in the world where they are accommodated and prosper.

Yet, they support Trump and Israel with warped logic, most of which are repulsive. It tells you what turning fellow humans beings into untouchables in their nature forsaken land can do to human mentality.

They have never established anything except fighting to take over.

Awolowo is the cause of all these problems called Minimum Wage

Those old enough or know history would remember that it was Awolowo that set Minimum Wage in the Western Region by doubling the daily paid labor and pay as you earn.

The problem Awolowo caused no go finish. Western Region Minimum Wage doubled that of Federal.

Then comes Abacha! He told workers to go to blazes and strike until they are hungry.

You know what? When there is no money, people will start trading by batter.

Inflation will fall and Naira will appreciate. Dollar and Euro self no go see market.

You wan strike? A begi, strike and come back when you are hungry.

We all hate chemicals especially the genetic modified seeds only available from international corporate businesses. Many farmers lost their farms in India when they took loans from banks to buy seeds they could not replicate.

Go to farm and produce your own whole-food, you nor go hia. Dey play.

Foreign Affairs / Re: United Nations Reverses Its Gaza Death Toll by nobaga: 1:56pm On May 14
All we read and hear is the story of the hunter in the bush, not even that of the hunted surface.

Countries that dropped the most lethal weapon in the world and killed so many always claimed they do it to save lives

They label others criminals, terrorists, welfare mothers driving Cadillac. When in fact they are worse than terrorists, are corporate bums, buying jets with welfare money, paying nothing in taxes while they are the biggest users of services and security provided by taxes.

The sad part is that gullible public buy their projections on others. Point out that they are useful fools, they double down.
Politics / Re: Rwanda: Uk Refugees Will Take Over Your Land With British Subsidy & Aid by nobaga: 3:54pm On May 13
Once recent immigrants are established, some scorn and climb on those they met in the land for exploitation The oppressors that aid and facilitate their sojourn into Africa also place them in a better situation than the Natives. Usually, immigrants are liberals during their trying times but as they become independent and establish small businesses with generous loans and grants unavailable to Natives, they open businesses generously patronized by the locals. They then gravitate towards the conservatives to protect their interests. There is nothing wrong in political ideologies as long as they are not extreme.

But when you forget where you come from and who prevented you from perishing in the sea since the European explorer Columbus was rescued by American Indians, and later become exploiters of the same Natives. Africans must be cautious because the same refugees accepted into Rwanda today will gain upper hand once helped by Britain to set up in a better situation than the Natives. We see similar circumstances throughout the world where poor citizens are trampled on. This raises the anger, envy and jealousy of the Natives. They wonder why such subsidies, loans and grants were not available to them before strangers.

Another class will be created in Rwanda that would not be different from those created in South Africa. If they have the interest of Rwandans, not British self-interest, they will not be transferring their problems to a poor country that can least take care of it. The incentive to Rwanda will be so short and only to gain initial advantage. But the social and the new class these refugees create will last for generations with a detrimental effect on Rwanda society. The fact that Rwandans are recovering well from their Tutsi-Hutu saga is not an indication that they are ready to take on a bigger problem.

Well, these refugees are not Europeans. They come from Afghanistan, Iran, Middle East and Africa. So they cannot be that exploitative! We have some vivid memories of our brothers and sisters from Asia in East Africa that gave rise to Uganda Dictator, Idi Amin. Most of them claimed to be British citizens, so Idi Amin gave them a choice to either choose Uganda or British citizenship. Of course, they chose the British where their loyalty lied. Forcing Idi Amin to kick them out undiplomatically, became an African embarrassment; unlike the United Kingdom,

Politics / Rwanda: Uk Refugees Will Take Over Your Land With British Subsidy & Aid by nobaga: 12:41pm On May 13
RWANDA: UK REFUGEES WILL TAKE OVER YOUR LAND WITH BRITISH SUBSIDY & AID

Rwanda is being offered a sweet deal that is supposed to end up in a win-win deal for the United Kingdom and Rwanda. If you believe it, we have a beautiful Trojan Horse to sell you. Africans are weary of superpowers' sweet promises of subsidy or aid to the developing countries. When you negotiate in an adverse disadvantageous relationship, it always ends up in regrets, exploitation and nightmares.

The reason foreigners and foreign investment into Africa have not lifted the economic plight of the masses is because these are foreign mules used to launder African meager foreign reserves and impoverished Africa. Only the politicians and their business cronies benefit from these Foreign Salvation. So watch out, there is a difference between Political and Economic Independence as Nkrumah taught us.

The transfer of migrants and refugees seeking asylum in the United Kingdom redirected to Rwanda must alert Africans. Africans still have the hearts of accommodation and tolerance for strangers coming to exploit the motherland. Unfortunately, the African heart of kindness has been abused throughout history and recently. There is no free land in Rwanda for refugees relocation. Africans take more refugees than other continents without subsidy or aid from the United Nations. Usually, refugees from neighboring countries.

This has led to resentment and even worse, within Africans themselves. Though Africa welcomes and tolerates refugees, it has gotten out of hand. The ugly xenophobia, tribalism and discrimination we see today existed at a smaller scale before but never to this ugly stage. Some migrants come as destitute before establishing themselves over the indigenous people, not only in Africa but in Europe, Asia and the Americas. There is nothing wrong with Africans' friendliness towards migrants and strangers in our midst. But Africans must watch out based on past abusive experiences.
