as the above poster said
i had to send 2 passport pictures a copy of my passport and copy of divorce certificate
i also paid for most of our wedding as i had money available my husband didnt at that time but being a modern woman from england i was ok with that
be prepared to pay extras for the court officials

ours were case of wine case of beer case of minerals ,biscuits and foods i cant remember the exact amounts
we also had to pay extra for the certificate and each of our witnesses had to do also
guess because i am oyinbo i had to pay more

cost us over 450 pounds my apologies i dont know the equivelent naira
by the time we had paid for the service
bought wine,minerals,biscuits, food for the court people
and paid into the pot for the certificate
this was in ekiti

ive stayed at the knightsbridge hotel nice clean safe hotel around 40 pounds per night sorry i dont know how to convert to naira
i also stayed at the onishaga hotel
www.onishagahotels.com stayed 2 nights here about 30 pounds per night great night life and was very safe good power sources

id loved to stay at the miclara regency hotel
www.themiclararegencyhotel.com heard good reports about it
ive no intentionof spending silly money on hotel rooms
sooner spend it having fun with my husband smiley

a letter of invitation from a nigerian citizen
a copy of the inviters passport

form imm2 filled in
a passport size photo of self
evidence of self sustainement i provided a receipt of sterling travellers cheques to be casheed in nigeria
my passport with at leaast 6 months remaining
at least 2 spaces free side by side in your passport
the apropiate fees mine were 2 postal orders of seventy pounds and 20 pounds

where you will be staying


all information shouldd be on the embassy in us website the nigerian onee that is


the letter just needs to be a personal invite
this will be my 3rd visit

i think the bag and wallet is a good idea perhaps put some money in the wallet
im doing the same as you but i go in november
not sure i would take perfume remember not to put it in your hand luggage
my hubby asked me to get a cardigan for his dad
shoes for his mum
pumps for his house mates , they are also my good friends
i will be takeing some childrens clothes for his neices and nephew maybe colouring book and pens
somebags of sweets
ive got t shirts for some police guys ive made friends with

hope my list helps and gives you a good idea
last christmas i bought watches, some henleys t shirts,knecklace but half of the parcels didnt arrived i guess they were stolen

hi all , im married to an ado ekiti guy im english but dont hold it against me lol
i was amazed when i visited nija and first saw babies carried on their mums backs, after seeing many mums doing this i realised that the babies todlers were so well behaved i never saw one crying or paddying smiley i spoke to my hubby about this he was telling me that babies here dont , proof positive that this is beneficial for babies.
as for dirty wrappers come on havnt you seen prams dirty and covered in crumbs lol its life
speaking of the babe asleep with its lolling head if babe wasnt happy babe would let you know soonest
i myself admire the womans fortitude here they are strong feminine and beautiful
