Foluke spoke again. "I am sorry Dayo, it is not as if I had sex like that but there was this thing that happened to me when I was a child, around nine years or so, I was too naive to know that it could have led to me being deflowered."

"Really?" Dayo answered absent mindedly.

"Dayo please believe me," Foluke continued, "I am telling you the truth. I was too young to understand then but I sensed everything was not just right as at the time I was going through the experience."

"My family stayed in a 'face to face' apartment at that time. I had to stay alone at home for some weeks because I just finished my Common Entrance Examination and was awaiting admission into Junior Secondary School . Our neighbour's son, Ade was also in the same shoes with me, so both of us were left at home after our parents would have gone to their various workplaces.

My mother was a cleaner at a Bank a little bit far away from home while my Dad was a Driver at a table water factory. Ade's mother was no longer living with her husband. She left him some years back after a major quarel taking Ade's younger siblings with her. Ade was a very good and obedient boy, so both of us got along. His own father worked as a security man at a nearby plastic manufacturing company. Read full story:https://bluenexter..com/2019/11/the-honeymoon-episode-3_18.html

Celebrities / I Was A Mother At Age15, Dropped Out At 16, Became A Widow At 52 by nstr: 5:52pm On Nov 18, 2019
Actress Taiwo Ajai-Lycett has revealed how she became a mother at the age of 15, dropped out at 16, became a widow at 52 and raped at the age of 65.

The 79-year-old recipient of the Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON), made the revelation in a recent interview with TheNation.

According to her: “I have been through the fire, I emerged fortified. I was 15 years old when I had a child. By 16, I was on my own. I knew I was going to get a good education. I was going to be a lawyer.

But I knew that I was on my own. My family disowned me. I married one David Akinduro in 1959 after I relocated to the U.K, but I left him due to domestic violence.

I met Thomas Lycett long after I divorced my first husband. Eventually I married him. We had a blissful marriage. He died when I was 52-years-old. I remember him everyday.

He was the one that told me that I was better off being an actor. In 2006, I was robbed and raped in my house in Egbe. I was tied. I was beaten. I was brutalized. My health was ruined.

I was blindfolded and raped. The man who raped me complained that he couldn’t gain easy entry into me because I wasn’t wet. I told him ‘widows don’t get wet.’

I kept talking to them and asked them repeatedly, ‘Are you doing this to your mother?’ Angrily, they taped my mouth but I remained fearless and prayed all through the attack.

The police came. They expected me to pursue the case. I knew the masterminds. I could have gotten them incarcerated but I simply moved on.

Look at me today, I am over it. See, the mind is a beautiful thing. When you hold on to past hurt, you tie yourself down to grief. You get infected with its poison.

Rather than wallow in grief and self-pity, I picked myself up and sought medical help, ensuring that they hadn’t infected me with any STD.. That same year, the Obasanjo government got me the Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON) national honour.

Few years later, One of them came to prostrate before me, pleading for my forgiveness. I told him to seek forgiveness from God. I told him that I had moved on.”https://bluenexter..com/2019/11/i-was-mom-at-15-dropout-at-16-widow-at.html

What a glorious day!" Dayo sighed as he led his newly wedded wife into the elevator that would take them to the room they booked for their honeymoon in one of the finest hotels in town. They just left the hall of their wedding reception which was about 30 minutes drive from the hotel. Foluke smiled back at her husband and yawned, "Oh! I am so tired, I danced so much with those high heels like there is no tomorrow! She said and yawned again.

"Hey! Sweetheart", her husband replied, "do not tell me that you are too tired to fulfil your promise, we had a deal remember? We both agreed to have a vigil tonight in order to commit this marriage into God's hands".

"Yea, I do remember", Foluke answered tiredly, "Let's get to bed on time, we will wake up at exactly 2:00 am for the prayers. "Alright then", her husband agreed.

They got into their hotel room, had a shower and later ate the Jollof rice that Foluke's mum packed for them for dinner.

Afterwards, they went on their knees and prayed to God, thanking HIM for the success of their wedding, and thereafter went to sleep. They had both agreed not to have sex on their wedding night but instead decided to dedicate that night to a series of fervent prayers committing the journey of their marriage into God's hands.

They actually made good their plan. Foluke's alarm woke them up at exactly 2:00 am as earlier scheduled. Foluke led the songs of Praise while Dayo led the prayers. They prayed till around 4:30am after which they went to the bathroom, this time around together to have a shower. They both felt shy seeing each other's unclothedness for the first time ever since they met. One thing led to the other and they had sex that very morning.

"What is this Foluke?" Dayo queried his bride. "I expected you to bleed being your first time," he continued trying to suppress his anger.

"I...I...I actually thought I should too" Foluke stammered, trying to fight back the tears that clouded her eyes.

"Liar!" her husband barked at her. "Ha-ha, why are human beings like this? If you had told me you were not a virgin, I would still have proposed marriage to you anyways, but why lying? I hate this kind of attitude, I hate it!" He yelled.

"But I didn't lie", Foluke cried. "God is my witness, I just don't understand..."

"Shut up! You shameless prostitute, bloody liar! I loved and trusted you, is this how you repay my innocent love? Do I deserve this betrayal?"

"But Honey, please believe me, I am a virgin, I swear to God".

"Will you keep quiet? Dayo screamed in anger. Your not being a virgin is not the issue I have but the fact that you lied to me and you are still lying right now".

"Noooooo!" Foluke continued crying...

It was 7:00am already. Dayo changed into a casual wear and stormed out of the room in anger.

"Dayo please wait, let's sort this out, Pleeeeaaaase."

Foluke was devastated. "God, how come my honeymoon is turning into a nightmare all of a sudden? But why didn't I bleed? I thought virgins do bleed during their first sex, What has happened to meeeeee?" She continued talking to herself. Oh God! Have mercy, I don't want to lose my husband's trust. God, I just prayed to you this morning that you be the driver of my marriage, Holy Spirit, please soften the heart of my husband and take control.

She cried bitterly on the bed, checking the bed sheet again, hoping to see traces of blood that could restore her hope but the sheet was as white as wool!

Foluke met Oladayo during her third year in the University. She was the kind of girl that almost every guy that came in contact with will never want to let go. She is of an average height and a beautiful countenance, quiet but firm. Though she was an average student, yet one of the most respected in her department because of her strong moral principles. She loved and served God all through her University days. She never had a love relationship because she purposed in her heart not to do so until she graduated from the University.

Her decision changed when she met Dayo.

Oladayo was then a 500 level Civil Engineering Student . They had met at a Seminar held in honour of the graduating students that very year. Dayo was so much interested in Foluke the very moment he set his eyes on her. He had never been in a relationship too but was really attracted to her. They exchanged contact and started their friendship. Though, they had no strings attached at first, but they gradually became so fond of each other that they both became an Item on campus.

Not long after, Dayo graduated and went for his National Youth Service in one of the South-Southern states of Nigeria. Nevertheless, he kept in touch with Foluke all through. The day he finally proposed marriage to her was the happiest day of his life because Foluke immediately accepted to marry him. Theirs was a holy courtship. He was a virgin and he looked forward to his wedding night with Foluke.

A year after his proposal, Foluke completed her NYSC programme and a year later, they had a beautiful wedding, a dream come true!

********************

Foluke paced through the hotel room for some minutes. She tried calling her husband's number but it wasn't getting through. 'Where on earth could he have gone to?' She thought. What is supposed to be a joyful honeymoon has suddenly turned to an episode of tears for her. She resumed her crying again. Just then, a thought flashed through her mind.

"Could that be?" She asked herself.

"No, it can't", she continued in her thoughts, shaking her head vigorously. She wasn't really sure of her thoughts.

She reached for her phone and dialled her mum's number. "Mommy! Please come over, my marriage is on Fire!" She screamed into the phone.

"Which marriage are you talking about Foluke?" Her mother asked in alarm...

We all make errors both southerners, northerners and Easterners but lets just accept the fact that when it comes to English language it is wrong and a blunder for someone to write a word inappropriately

But it still doesn't decapitate us from speaking or writing English as a language in our own style.

As long u can communicate and the next hausa, yoruba or igbo person can underatand ur Msg then its fine but i wud never agree to anyone saying some words are correct in English simply becuz he/she has a target Audience...fine! But as long it is English and was not written correctly then it is wrong and nothing can justify it as being right...

Throwback:

Banku and Tilapia, Palava Sauce et all, is from Ghana. Those pictures are from Ghana.

Nothing wrong with the Hausa-English words. They are not an error, but a deliberate communication to a target market population in words that they understand it to be.

I think you're the dumbest person for not accepting the fact that whoever wrote those words commited a blunder and should be corrected and you see that thing you just reffered to as local dialect is just an excuse for you to defend the stack illerate who wrote those words down and since its hausa targeting hausa then y'all should keep up with those blunder.

Ode oshi! What does inferiority complex got to do with this Convo cool

We de tell una say error na error u de come talk rubbish for here....

I think you in person have a problem with accepting what is True...

Anyway you know better.

Encourage them to not being better than those blunder.....Oponu!!!

adamx23:

You sound so dumb! The northerners mostly communicate in their local dialect. He's not advertising for you, he's doing it for his people who mostly communicate in Hausa.
I think the southerners are suffering from inferiority complex.

Politics / Kogi Guber: Community Cries Out Over Sporadic Gunshots By Governor’s Aide by nstr: 8:49am On Nov 06, 2019
The People’s Democratic Party in Takete-Ide and the entire community have accused a media aide to Kogi State Governor, Kingsley Femi Fanwo, of harassing innocent indigenes of the community with sporadic gunshots and threats of arrest.

The community therefore called on law enforcement organs in Mopamuro Local Government to call Fanwo to order.

This is contained in a petition signed by Temitope Atte, a PDP member and indigene of the community and made available to newsmen in Lokoja today.

Fanwo who is Governor Yahaya Bello’s Director General on Media and Publicity hails from the community and is said to have cultivated a habit of going about with security personnel who shoots without restraint whenever he visited.

Captioned ‘situation report on the dangers of gunpoint politics by Femi Fanwo in Takete-Ide,’ the petition says Takete has become a new Somalia, Eritrea, Palestine and Sambisa forest where the power of the gun rules the day, and the night!

“We hereby call on Femi Fanwo to cease and desist this terror and siege on our community, particularly on hapless women and youngsters who are vulnerable. All well-meaning people should impress upon him that seeking people’s support by democratic means is the way to go towards election and not through the dirty, dangerous, despicable threat of violence.

The petition reads in part:

“We the entire Takete Ide community and PDP leadership & members in Ward 07 hereby draw your attention to life-threatening events continuously perpetrated by Femi Fanwo in our hometown, and request your assistance in curtailing this horrific trend. I will restrain myself to what I’ve witnessed in the last 48 hours only:

“I was home about 8pm on Saturday Nov. 2 and joined the PDP leadership at Ile Oke directly. What I met was a combustible situation where Babatunde Fanwo had sat about 50 yards across from the PDP leadership with some of his party boys generally raising hell and making threats to “carry” (detain) some PDP members ASAP. He drew our attention to the fact that even the PDP Campaign CSO has been “carried” so “we can carry anybody”.

“This was against the backdrop that earlier that evening, before my arrival, he had removed the cap of a PDP member 3 times and threw it off for daring to wear it. Needless to say, their boys wear theirs and are not being harassed. Babatunde Fanwo is a younger brother to Femi Fanwo, DG Media to Gov. Yahaha Bello of the APC. ‘Tunde was challenged and there was temporary calm.

“That is also against the backdrop of sporadic *gunfire* in the community by fully armed Civil Defense and Police personnel in 2 vans following Femi Fanwo around, terrorizing the community. This has happened every time Fanwo arrived the community.

“2. We were informed after a bit of time that plans were made to burn the tent under which we the PDP members sat, that night, which was very close to the main building. Whereas some said we should keep a vigil to prevent that, we decided to also report the matter to the Kabiyesi. He then called the former chairman of the APC in Takete Ide, Mr. Dele Eseyin to deliver a message to Femi Fanwo to reign in his boys and stop the gunfire in our community as the election was still a full fortnight away and, at any rate there was no call for gunfire since we weren’t at war. The Kabiyesi went ahead to rain curses on whoever disturbed the peace of the town. Mr. Dele went to deliver it and stopped at our tent on his way back to reassure us that we should all be at peace and the tent would not be burnt. So Femi had said he had been lied against and the gunfire would also stop.

“3. While Mr. Deke Eseyin was delivering the message “from Femi Fanwo”, gunfire erupted again from the north. Apparently Femi felt affronted that the Kabiyesi could ask him to stop, and started the gunfire by his security personnel afresh. He sat in his car with a van in front and another behind while Tunde his brother and one other boy marched on foot in front of the convoy, firing 2 rifle shots EVERY SINGLE MINUTE!!! The convoy came by our tent and transversed the length of the town, firing continuously. They then went near the Kabiyesi’s palace and fired rapidly, perhaps to show that Femi had no regard for our traditional ruler, and that he could not be advised to stop shooting sporadically to frighten and intimidate indigenes of the community.

“4. On Sunday it was reported he left early in the morning and peace returned to our community. Later that evening the PDP held our meetings and supporters trooped out en masse to identify with us. We did not abuse anyone nor touched the APC banners and posters in the town.

“Monday, since the PDP gubernatorial rally for Yagba was postponed we had a PDP meeting and rallied our supporters, with Amuro leaders like Cmdr. Foluso Daniel in our midst. Again we had a massive crowd of supporters who openly identified with us. It was peaceful and joyous. Very successful. There were no issues. We didn’t touch their campaign infrastructure. We dispersed about 6pm.

“5. I came to Effo with a few boys and Adegoke Jimoh for certain interactions at Teramo hotel before leaving for my station the following day when calls started coming in from home that the gunfire was back, only now accompanied by the destruction of ALL PDP campaign paraphernalia PERSONALLY by Femi Fanwo. On entering the town his security men started with countless volleys of gunfire and Femi alighted in front of Asipa Ologe’s house and personally tore the PDP banner and removed it into his car. All the while loudly threatening anyone to vote or come out to challenge him. Later he threw the torn material out of his car as he drove off.

“He proceeded to Ile Oke and did the same, destroying the PDP campaign banner and screaming for all who could hear that whoever comes out of their houses to attempt to vote “will see what has never been seen in this town!!!” “No one should dare to come out to vote unless they want to die!!!”

“The count of gunfire was said to exceed what I personally witnessed on Saturday evening.

All this gestapo tactics, all the intimidation, all the gunfire for what

“Is it not clear to some that a bullet shot in the air has at least terminal velocity on the way down, and could still kill? It is iron; and what goes up must come down. Should any indigene fall victim, we will NOT accept a verdict of “accidental discharge”. Should an old woman with a weak heart die of shock from fear of gunfire, we will hold those responsible totally culpable.

Throughout this myriad acts of provocation, violence and destruction of campaign materials, the Takete Ide PDP has remained resolute in its peaceful and democratic pursuits, and in our strong believe that the power to gain political power rests with registered voters who are now making a choice based on apparent records of each administration and plans for the future, rather than through the wicked barrels of guns.

“Once violence begins in a community, the beginning may appear obvious to the originators and perpetrators, but no one could predict the end.

“Any abductions of PDP members in the name of detention, internecine violence or any shedding of blood in Takete Ide should be laid squarely at the foot of Femi Fanwo and the APC.

“Law enforcement agencies in Mopamuro have been briefed of this situation, and hopefully will prove that no one is above the law.
