Politics / Re: It Will Take PhD Holder 85 Years To Buy ₦160M Jeep Bought For SSCE Senators: Obi by nusirat(m): 6:20pm On Aug 21
IfnobeGod20:
This is the reason I say common sense is not always common. Do you know part of the reasons he was impeached twice within his 8 years tenure? Until you can fathom out the reason he was impeached before I can take you serious.
It is not enough to just make blanket comment, you should have sieved your comment and know the meat of the comment you want to send to the audience. Part of the grouse that pelt him with the Anambra State assembly was he refused to play the normal game of bribing them to get things done. And in all the impeachments, courts found the grounds the assembly stood as faulty and that was why courts reinstated him in the two impeachments.
I even thought you wanted to focus on the main issue he raised, which is education but you dodged that as usual. I expected to read from your comment the amount of salary the Anambra lecturers and teachers were earning during his tenure but there was nothing like that. You don't accuse a person blindly without concrete evidence to buttress your point.
In the history of governance in Nigeria at the state level, no governor had invested in education like Peter Obi and he did that by concentrating on both human and physical structure of the sector.

However, for the avoidance of doubt, let me bring out what you don't know. Below is an excerpt from Vanguard newspaper of 2010.
"The governor said that during the meeting hosted by the Obi of Onitsha, Igwe Nnaemeka Achebe, the stakeholders requested all parties to make sacrifices to reach a compromise, explaining that the state government had fulfilled all terms requested by the stakeholders.

He said with the new salary for the lecturers, they were now the highest paid workers in the state, with professors earning twice the salary of the deputy governor.

He said, in spite the pressure from the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission, no member of the State Executive Council was earning the salary recommended by the commission because of the lean resources of the state.

He also said that till date, states in the South West and South South, including Lagos and Rivers States, with their jumbo revenue, were not implementing the new salary structure"

Oga shift for one side, you say Obi was impeached twice, is alie, he
Peter Obi was impeached once during his tenure as governor of Anambra State, which occurred on November 2, 2006 ¹ ² ³ ⁴. His impeachment was later overturned on February 9, 2007, and he was reinstated as governor ¹ ².
Also he himself already accept he built no school nor university and ASU was in total strike for almost a year, please don't sell us unconfirmed news like Obi of China.

Peter Obi never joked with the affair of all Anambra's workers and that was why he never owe any worker salary till the day he left office.

These nincompoops have yet to realize that the fact that the protest could be hijacked by unscrupulous elements is all the more reason why people need to go out to protest the incompetence and ineptitude of the government in arresting the security situation in the country. undecided

How can a whole IGP of Police come out bold-faced to tell people not to protest for fear that criminal elements could take advance of the opportunity? Isn't that clear proof that you, as an IGP, have failed in your responsibilities? Why is the Police trying to push what is his responsibility on the people looking to freely exercise their right to protest? undecided

In your wider imagination tell me one protest in the whole of Africa that ended well, someone is telling you to fear the aftermath of the protest you are here ranting. Orun un yabo ki SE Oro enikan. Sit at home in the east you have not finding solutions to it you want to spread it across all other region, if you don't have life other have, if you do any how, you will collect any how.

This tread is a complete misleading, when peugeot was launched in Nigeria the u it price was never 1500, the mid-1970s a Peugeot 504 GR cost 4,200 naira; Volkswagen Beetle cost 3,500, and this is more than annual salary of a banker then, also how many cars are found in the street of our town, also note that Agriculture is our main work, and earned more fro.m it, but today is different, we arr saku saku generation where a lazy mindset, religious enterprises and lutocracy made us to be poor.

The raid was not on bdc but on those Mallam engaged in an already outlawed activities.
BDC operators were only slammed with regulatory policy so as to tighten the loop holes they exploited.

Corruption, underproduction are part of our problem, we aren't pleased with that but then we don't allow a new problem of negative speculation develope into a critical one because we are fighting a much bigger problem.
Problem in it's self is well managed at an initial stage.
