Politics / Re: Dangote Pegs Minimum Of 1Million Litres/Marketer As Diesel Sale Begins by obienroute: 6:56am On Apr 04 |
The average cost of diesel today is #1200/ltr. This is about #1.2 billion per marketer. I guess only the major marketers and a fraction of independent marketers may buy this product. However there needs to be competitors from our local refineries and modular refineries else we will end up weeping due to monopoly of the sector. This happened in the cement sector. Despite the monopoly, there was scarcity of cement and the middle man factor which lead to increment. |
Crime / Re: Army Foils International Ammunition Smuggling Syndicate Heading To Anambra by obienroute: 6:31am On Jul 18, 2023 |
Nigerians keep speaking from the anus. What is the correlation to Obi in this post? Is he the merchant or simply because he is from Anambra state you point fingers at him? Who secures the borders they scaled through should be the question? Are they Ibos ? Who are custom officers at Idiriko? Are tgey Ibos? Its practically impossible period. Stop celebrating criminality and chasing shadows. Simply do what is right. . |
Politics / Re: 5 State Governors That Will Be Retiring Into Lives Of Luxury After May 29, 2023 by obienroute: 4:28pm On May 08, 2023 |
You can imagine the waste in governance. Some may still get political appointments in the near future. Well I dont blame Wike but Rotimi Amaechi for signing this bill into law. Meanwhile this is the rascality in government spending tax payers money. 1 Like |
Politics / Re: Will The New Electoral Law Eliminate Rigging In 2023? by obienroute: 5:39am On Jul 08, 2022 |
Yes it will reduce rigging significantly. However, I am also concerned about under-age voting in the northern states. I expected INEC to find a solution to this. |
Politics / Re: Over $10 Billion Stolen By NNPC, Others In Fuel Subsidy Scam: Reps by obienroute: 2:39am On Jul 04, 2022 |
I was expecting over $20 billion siphoned. How can you proof that Nigeria consumes about 65 million litres of fuel(PMS) daily? A country where we have less cars on the road between 2015-2021. Statistically, about 60-65% of fuel consumption in the country is in the southern part of the nation. Under GEJ, he used the crude swap model by exchanging crude for PMS but PMB quashed it completely hence we found ourselves here. "IF I AM NOT STEALING AND MY FAMILY AND CRONIES ARE NOT STEALING, THEN 30-35% OF CORRUPTION HAS BEEN TACKLED. PETER OBI" Bitter truth 1 Like 1 Share |
Politics / Re: Kwankwaso Insists On Being Presidential Candidate Of NNPP/LP Merger by obienroute: 2:12am On Jul 04, 2022 |
South East is good in business and Northern Nigeria is good in politics. We(Nigerians) want to move the country forward from a POLITICAL NATION to a BUSINESS NATION. In other words we want to move from a CONSUMING NATION to PRODUCING NATION |
Politics / Re: Nnamdi Kanu: Allow Court Handle Matter, Buhari Tells South-East Leader by obienroute: 4:14pm On May 06, 2022 |
PMB na sadist. He personally dislikes Nnamdi Kanu. We should wait for the courts judgment which works hand in hand with the FG. But he knows how to give Presidential Pardon to convicts with his powers. Failed country. |
Politics / Re: We’re Ready To Resume Petrol Importation - Marketers by obienroute: 7:00am On Feb 12, 2021 |
The government is tactically taking back the minimum wage paid to workers. It's a failed state we find ourselves. Even the emerging Dangote refinery won't reduce fuel cost to the bearest minimum because his focus is on exporting to other countries. There's nothing about Dangote that has favored Nigerians. The cement sector is a typical example. |
Politics / Re: Electricity: FG, Labour Agree To Cut Price By N10.20 Per Kwh, For 3 Months by obienroute: 7:09am On Oct 12, 2020 |
This is pure scam. PHED have not reversed to the previous billing ever since labour suspended the strike. I get 90 units for 5000 as against 157 units charged previously. Who's fooling who? |
Politics / Re: Update On Developments in Ebonyi state (photos) by obienroute: 4:24pm On Jun 29, 2020 |
Have you verified the debt profile of Ebonyi state? Have you visited the international market to know the cost of renting a shop? Its ridiculous. In advanced states like Lagos, and other climes, I've never seen where an overhead bridge is beautified with disco lights. It is a total waste of resources. Street lights would comfortably do the job. What's the economic impact of the Ecumenical Centre in the state? That's another waste. No doubt the governor has done well. But he needs to do more. People are hungry and starving in the state and living below 2 dollars. My humble opinion. |

Politics / Re: Dangote's Multi-billion Naira Greenhouse Farm Commences Operations by obienroute: 8:10am On Oct 07, 2019 |
Dangote monopolized the cement industry when a bag was sold @ #1400 and imported cements stopped coming into the country. Today its #2500/bag and over 75% of the raw materials are here in country. And he equally exports to other African nations. He took over sugar, salt and most consumables yet Nigerians pay through their nose to consume all these items. Taking over the tomatoes market with the help of CBN wouldn't favour the citizens in any way because in the long run Nigerians will buy tomatoes @ a higher price compared to what we have today. He's just a business man maximizing profit with the aid of Federal government. It's not in favour of the masses at all. |
Culture / Re: Igbo Monarchs Set To End The Osu Caste System Come December 28 by obienroute: 12:46pm On Nov 09, 2018 |
It's a good development, but frankly it's only said in words and not done in the real sense. If the traditional rulers and elders are honest about this, the kings and elders should give their daughter's and sons a go ahead to marry the so called OSU's and equally be present at the traditional marriage as proof that it has been abolished. Change begins with you. 1 Like |

Career / Re: Dangote Refinery: Graduate Trainees Vow To End Fuel Scarcity by obienroute: 8:02am On Feb 13, 2018 |
Same old story. Dangote took over the cement industry when a bag was sold at #1400. Today it's 2400 a bag and most of the raw materials are sourced locally, and we export cement to other African countries. I'm not a fan of monopoly. PMB should deregulate the sector period. |
Politics / Re: Prince Donatus Okonkwo Declares His Anambra Governorship Intention by obienroute: 7:17pm On Jun 13, 2017 |
It's quite funny when they seek for BIAFRA ,irrespective of the party the aspirants are vying from. You win an election conducted by INEC and then swear an oath of office under the constitution of Nigeria. I guess the struggle for BIAFRA should start now if u want a breakout. The sit @ home should be repeated same election day. Then let's see every ward and polling units with only APC members if it's possible. I doubt the breakout rather fight for restructure now or never. |
