Travel / Re: Which Country Can I Move To Legally With ₦10M? by obinnaxci(m): 3:13pm On Sep 28, 2023
If I have such amount I will use it to purchase shares from a blue chip or fortune 500 company and be given a HB1 visa or a special kind of visa given to foreign investors. From there you can go there anytime you want without the embarrassment of being called a bloody Nigerian. And you convert 10m to dollars and you will see you are gonna be a highly rated investor. Like 10k to 12k dollars worth. Over there you know it is a lot of money.

Migrating overseas is expensive except you want to do your postgraduate studies. You have to look at cost of living. Don't just come here asking people who may not have a full/detailed idea of how cost of living is in some countries.

Malta or Luxembourg is okay for that amount but if you want to quickly be a millionaire in dollars, buy shares from amazon, Facebook, Google or Apple Inc.

Cheers.

Romance / Re: Why Is Cheating Considered Normal For Men? by obinnaxci(m): 6:23pm On Aug 01, 2023
Men make effort to sleep with a woman and it is left for the woman being wooed to decide if she can open her legs for such man or men. Men are just mere opportunists who jump at the opportunity of any woman who offers them sex. Women are believed to have more self control and need a reason to sleep with a man. One of the reasons a woman cheats could be but not limited to: attention seeking, money, they like the guy, they like his swag. They don't need to love the man, they must be attracted to him one way or the other. Men don't need to like or love a woman or feel attracted to a woman as long as they can have intercourse and cum. A man will realise if he loves or is attracted to a woman after he cums. after ooo.
End!

In law, engagement is also a promise to marry. Once a partner calls of an engagement, you can take the person to court for breach of promise to marry. Any sound lawyer like me can tell you this is the correct position. So many people don't know this. And you just did. This law applies to any part of the world.

Forum Games / Re: Logically Who Would Come Out Alive From These Four? by obinnaxci(m): 6:18am On Jun 21, 2023
While it's important to emphasize that animal fights are illegal and unethical, I can still provide some general information about the animals you mentioned. In a hypothetical scenario where these animals were forced to fight, predicting the outcome is speculative and dependent on various factors. However, here are some considerations:

1. African Lion ): Lions are apex predators known for their strength, agility, and hunting abilities. They have sharp teeth, powerful jaws, and are skilled at bringing down large prey. In a confined space, their agility and predatory instincts might give them an advantage.

2. Silverback Gorilla (): Gorillas are incredibly strong and have a muscular build. While they are primarily herbivorous and generally peaceful, they can exhibit extreme strength when threatened. However, in a confined space, their size and lack of specialized predatory adaptations might be a disadvantage against the other animals.

3. Grizzly Bear: Grizzly bears are large and powerful creatures, with sharp claws and a strong bite. They are known for their aggressiveness and territorial nature. In terms of size and strength, a grizzly bear could pose a significant threat to the other animals.

4. Anaconda: Anacondas are large constrictor snakes that are capable of overpowering their prey through constriction. They are not venomous but can exert immense pressure with their coils. In a confined space, their ability to constrict could be advantageous, particularly against the gorilla and lion.

Considering these factors, it is important to note that animal behavior is complex and influenced by various factors such as size, temperament, adaptations, and the specific circumstances of the hypothetical scenario. The outcome of such a situation is highly speculative and could depend on the individual animals involved, their physical condition, and many other variables.

.
skywalker240:
Logical question

Irrespective of habitat, climate region, domain and territories, adaptiveness etc

Between an African Lion 🦁

A Silver Back Gorilla 🦍

A Grizzly Bear 🐻

And an Anaconda 🐍

Locked up in a cage, Who Would actually come out victorious

Ps animals fighting are not legal and shouldn't be encouraged, but if such situations ever take place, who will be the last one standing?

Please can this make Front page for a louder audience?

Thanks

There are two steps to attaining success. There are:
1- never reveal everything you know,
2-refer to number one above.
EriMma1:
There's this person I brought into my line of job. When I brought her in, I wanted her to learn the job very well for like 6 months or a year before she can launch out to get her own clients and be on her own but she left three weeks after following me a few times. She felt she has gotten the hang of the job and started getting her own clients and has been on her own since last year. I overlooked all that. She then started calling me along the line to teach or show her somethings on the job to which I refused because she left of her own accord knowing full well she has not learnt all there is to learn.

Now, there was a place I submitted my proposal letter and after they called me. We had a chat and after a good bargain, they told me to resume the following week. Two days to resumption, they called and told me to hold on. So I felt they got a better bargain. It pained me and I told this person all that happened and what I charged them. After that, I got two other clients who paid the same amount I charged the one that flopped. So I used those ones to console myself and moved on but was still hoping that they would get back to me someday.

Fast-forward to last week. This close pal of mine I trained on the job told me she got a call. In fact she went to that same place I told her I lost an opportunity and submitted a proposal. They now called her and she offered them lower charges and she was given the job.

At first I felt stabbed because she knew about my ordeal with the same company. I just chose not to discuss it further.

Ok, last year, I confided in her that I want to review my charges with my old clients. Like those I've been with for 4 , 5 years. Today, she called saying she reviewed her charges too with her clients. O boy! Because I reviewed, you too review? I mean something she started last year, she's already reviewing just because I told her I did and my clients have responded to it. These are clients I've had for years and you've only had yours for a few months, cos she started mid last year and she's already increasing fees. Is that how things are done? Anyways I didn't try to warn her of the implication of such act.

Now, I feel this person is just trying to compete with me and I'm thinking it's high time I start concealing somethings from her.

What do you think? Is it safe to continue divulging my plans to this person or am I overreacting?

Enough said
Akwaokukuo:
Hey guys, this question goes to the men in this thread who are married to medical doctors, especially those working in the UK or any other western country.
What are your experiences?
Judging from the busy schedule of medical doctors, how do you guys take care of the children?
What are the biggest challanges you face in your marriage?

I am currently dating a medical student and plan to send her abroad immediately after her studies.
I would appreciate hearing from those with the experience or those whose relatives are married to medical doctors and both of them live in any western country.
Thank you.

I go first!

I can never involve myself arguing about Nigeria politics. Never!!!.. Discussing Nigeria politics for me is pointless. Though, recently the tide has been changing.

Secondly, I can never involve myself in Messi and C. Ronaldo argument though I've been watching football ball for more than 20yrs. But you see Messi/Ronaldo matter just count me off...

So what's that argument you can never involve yourself in no matter how knowledgeable you have about that argument

Investment / How To Raise Financing For Your Startup by obinnaxci(m): 11:53am On Sep 28, 2022
A comprehensive step-by-step procedure with tips, best practices, resources and document templates you will need.

Starting a business and one of the aspects that entrepreneurs find most daunting is raising start-up capital. Gone are the days of pitching investors with hot new technology ideas. Today, entrepreneurs are much more likely to dive into their own pockets and hunker down for a battle to start up and stay alive. But if you don't have the cash in your wallet, what do you do? Luckily, there are still options for funding new companies, but finding and securing the cash will take careful research, good negotiating skills, and, above all, an unflagging commitment to launching your new business.

Start your capital search with a good business plan that shows investors and lenders your company's potential. Follow that up with a thorough knowledge of the resources available and a determination to make your business a reality, and you should be on your way to uncovering a source that fits your new business's cash needs.

1. Conduct a comprehensive business assessment

You will need to first do a fair complete assessment of your business. It’s important that you look good before you ask for money, have a good, innovative idea and know what else is out there, who’s into similar market as yours, what income they made, if you need to move and who will benefit from your business.

TIP:

Here are some important questions to ask yourself before you start asking others for money:

· How much capital do I need and when do I need it?

· From whom do I want the money? Do I respect them? What compromises will I accept?

· What is the value of my company?

· Who might be interested in my company?

· What are my legal responsibilities to potential investors? How can I pay back? Do I have a lawyer? Do I have an accountant who can aid me with the numbers?

Know the legalities before raising support.

These are the document-templates you will most definitely need to rely on. But don’t forget to consult with your lawyer for scrutiny after you have had the document prepared.

· Management Audit

· Worksheet Strengths and Weaknesses Analysis

· Worksheet Strengths and weaknesses

· Worksheet Business Analysis

· Worksheet Self-Assessment

2. Write a business plan

Work out a product pitch. This should first be a one-liner you can explain in an elevator. Example, “I’ve designed a new kind of underwater camera that will benefit photographers, travellers, marine specialists and nature enthusiasts and I have a detailed plan on how to produce it, market it and get it into the hands of the target market.” When you can describe your plan in that short of words or less, create a full pitch for it, with all the pertinent details from your business plan. Remember, you are asking people to either invest or donate money. Prove that you are worth the investment.

TIP: before writing a full business plan, start by covering the essential elements like: product/service, market, target customers, marketing strategies, business model sources, competitive advantages, required start-up capital, etc.

Below is the document you will come in contact with while sourcing for capital in your early phase of your business:

· Business Plans, you need this one! Like it is a must. Need I say more?

3. Finance yourself

Instead of planning to raise a large sum, or disturbing anybody, if you want to keep your dignity and self respect, consider taking money from your savings. Or try to create a product or service that you can sell and start selling. Use the revenue you are making to finance future product improvements and development. This is called Bootstrapping.

TIP: Another good option is to self-finance the early steps and seek funding half-way through the process – after you have incorporated and done all the research, and are looking to start production and/or launch your services.

4. Go to your friends and family

Just because you know them well does not mean they do not deserve the same respect, presentation and information you would give someone you just met and are asking for money. Give them the full business plan and your complete pitch. Also, think of it as a safe practice zone before you present your pitch to a potential investor.

Document templates you will encounter or need for this specific step are:

· Personal Guarantee

· Payment Guaranty Demand Note

· Promissory Note

· Debenture form

· Financing agreement

5. Consider a loan but only as a last resort

Banks and other traditional lenders exist. Be sure to read all of the paperwork before signing up. It usually easier to get a loan for an established business rather than a start-up but you don’t have much to lose to ask your banker! Or even better, a few local banks…

TIPS:

· Consider microloans from private companies and non-profits, usually up to ₦20,000,000(twenty million naira) Examples include Jaiz Bank, Taj bank to name a few.

· Also, not precisely a loan, but some of your vendors defer payments until you see a return on the product or service, which is called Vendor Financing.

Documents you will most likely encounter if you are the one seeking for a loan:

· Bank Loan Application form and checklist

· Loan agreement

· Loan application review form

· Loan Calculator with extra payments

· Financial ratio calculator

· Credit Agreement

· Letter of request for an equity investment

6. Look up crowdfunding

Crowdfunding is a great way to raise funds, especially if you have a business idea that is easily accessed through the Internet. By using one of the platforms below you can sign up for an account, create a project, make a pitch and then share the project over social networks, your website and a myriad of other ways. People can donate to your project from all over the globe, which is free advertising for your business after it gets funded!.

Check out the following websites:

· NaijaFund. NaijaFund is one of the free crowdfunding platforms in Nigeria. It allows anyone to raise money online for anything including but never limited to business start up.

· Fund An Enterprise. Fund An Enterprise is one of the fundraising websites in Nigeria.

· CircleUp. CircleUp is another leading crowdfunding site in Nigeria. It helps you connect with foreign investors who hve insterests in the Nigerian market. CircleUp is an investment platform that provides capital and resources to innovative, early-stage consumer brands.

· MicroVenture.

7. Find Investment Companies and Angel Investors

Before you approach an investor, figure out all the terms. You will be dealing with Term Sheets, which are the documents involved with signing up investors. In these sheets, investors will try to determine your valuation. A valuation is a number value on your company, its assets and its potential income.

TIPS:

-Build a pipeline of investors: have lots of meetings and make the process competitive. Know your numbers for the meeting —look back to your research. Keep your business plan handy.

- If you decide to follow-through with investors, look up investment forums or groups on Facebook, Nairaland, Quora, Reddit, Clubhouse (yes, trust me, this app is very useful once you use it wisely)

You may need these document templates depending which party you are (investor or entrepreneur):

- Term Sheet (more details will be talked about later)

- Term Sheet for Series A Round of Financing

- Collateral debenture

- Convertible Debenture

- Debenture and Trust Deed

- Debenture Pledge Agreement

- Participating and Convertible Debenture

- Due Diligence Requisition List

- Checklist dealing with shareholders and investors

- Shareholders Agreement

- Adhesion to the unanimous shareholders agreement

You can purchase to purchase any of the documents from here.

8. Talk to a Potential Business Partner

Find someone with capital who likes your idea and suggest a partnership. Or, find someone with business connections. Or, find someone who balances your shortcomings and/or has more experience in an aspect of your business plan. A partner is who is all of these things is the best, but even one of them could help you a lot in your venture. Look up this site for more tips http://addicted2success.com/startups/8-clever-ways-to-raise-money-for-your-new-startup/

9. Dive into the Risky stuff

Take more risks. Take another loan. It can be a risk, but it can also be a great way of getting your business off the ground fast. Fortune only favours the bold.

You may need the documents should the need arise:

-Pooling agreement

- Mortgage

10. Consider Government Aid

Most governments – at the local, state/province and country level – support new businesses. Check out what grants and programs might be available for your

enterprise.

You will actually need:

Grant Proposal Template (there will be blog on how to write this)

11. Other methods to raise financing

These methods might not be for all businesses but they are worth considering:

•Equity Crowdfunding: like crowdfunding but allows people all over the globe a chance to make a small investment in your business.

•Peer-to-peer lending: similar to crowdfunding too, but instead it is a bunch of small loans.

•Incubator funding: funding that starts out private to a select few but if your business has great potential, that’s one of the best ways as you’ll get visibility and mentorship for the same “price”!

One of the main causes of a failed marriage is financial issues. If your woman is not financially intelligent you run the risk of having your marriage sink into a bottomless pit.
Been there done that.
It will never end well.
Your gut is telling you to quit the relationship before you enter marriage. Trust your gut bro. Man to man. As one who has been there this is my sincere advise. I hope it's not the ex I dated couple of years ago.
Telling her family won't solve it.
It's a matter of her building a habit of spending wisely.
A stitch in time, saves nine.
Cheers bro.
maikbanj:
Good morning dear Nairalanders,

Thank you for being there in the past with your timely advise(s). I am here again just to get some more on a case.

I have a girlfriend which I plan getting married to as both families are all involved. My girlfriend has had a bad past. She was once abused and all but then I was able to help shape her when I got into her life. I have been there for her in my own little way but lately, she has not been behaving too well and I am not happy about that fact.I will itemize these:

1. She once borrowed her friend her school fees to rent an apartment with the promise the friend was going to pay her back before exams started. Her friend failed to pay her back and I had to provide her with the money in order not to miss her exams. Note, the said friend is a female.

2. Second semester, her pops gave her school fees which I saw the alert. Yea,she travelled down to see me from Lag and she spent some but then I told her she would not have spent her school fees to come see me. Infact at that time I never knew she was going to come because I was sick but she did. So I told her not to touch her school fees again that I was going to refund her the money. She left and I refunded. I paid her flight back to Lagos.

I later found out my girlfriend didn’t pay that school fees. She spent it and when it was time to pay she kept complaining. I was mad at her wondering what she must have used it for. I scolded her and gave her part of the money.(N100k)

3. I have paid several debts for her as she made some mistakes in her online business and was swindled. The most recent one now, she went to get loans from apps online. I don’t even know what would have made her do that as I try assist her when she’s in need. I have warned her severally against borrowing but she went to borrow and now she’s into debt.

I have asked what she used the money for but she can’t even point to one thing. She said she used the initial loan for her personal needs and when she couldn’t pay back, she had to borrow from another app to pay and all. That’s how she kept borrowing to pay another till she borrowed from over 15 loan apps and her debt is running into 350k as at today.

I honestly can’t pay such an amount as I have my own personal problems to carry. I was mad because in the past I have warned her against borrowing and all. Now she’s in trouble and they’ve been threatening her to pay back.

I have told her I don’t have such monies to pay back and even if I had I won’t pay back. I have advised she talk to her parents and siblings about it but she has been scared. I have that money but I can’t pay back as I have more pressing needs to attend to. Since she has refused to tell her parents, I am thinking of telling her parents. I am very close to her family.

This is someone I wanna get married to but with all I’m seeing, I am already having doubts.

She’s from a very good home. Deep down, I love her and she does too. But why these problems, I don’t understand.

Please I seek your advice on how to handle this as I can’t pay such debts. I have done several in the past

Thanks

I've handled a matter like this. From my experience, accounts are created for fraudulent purposes to launder money and when EFCC should carry out an investigation, and your details are in the account details, you have to prove that you never had information about this. The best thing to do is report to your bank. If your bank fail to comply with your complaint, write to the consumer protection department of the CBN

Good day my good people out there.
On February third this year, I got a message from GTBank that a GTBank account has been opened for me, with my account number. The message did not specify who, from where or why the account was opened for me. I tried to contact GTBank customer service but i got no reply from their WhatsApp number. Now this morning, I got a credit alert of ₦5 through GTB GAPS services from IJM INTEGRATED SERVICES LIMITED.
I've not heard about this very company before and all my google searches are not helping matters at all.
GTB GAPS i learnt processes funds that are paid in batches.... It's a kind of E-cheques.
So i really want to know if anyone received the same message or does anyone have any idea where this whole thing is coming from. Do i really need to report to the bank or just ignore?
Messages are sent to my small phone; i should have attached screenshots.

He loves me (I know for sure), doesn't cheat too and my in-laws are the most wonderful people on earth ( my mil especially).

We have a joint business but the bad part :he is addicted to alcohol.

He wasn't like this before we got married, he used to drink occasionally so I can't really tell how we got here.

It's so bad that he can't go a day without it. Once he can't lay his hands on alcohol he will begin to shiver like a malaria patient.

This addiction has gotten us into debts that I had to pay with my savings on several occasions.

I'm talking of debts of 120k, 167k, 136k e.t.c. He's takes several loans from loan sharks , drinks like no tomorrow.

He has wrecked ourbbusiness and only with the help of God was I able to rebuild It by taking loans and paying back.

We even decided he gets a job so he can be more responsible but after working for a year he had nothing to show for it.

Twice his parents had to take him to a therapist but it was all in vain as he would go back to drinking.

My head is scattered,I can't think straight, it's making me hate him. I tried leaving a few weeks ago , I went back to my mother's house but trust my mama, she begged me to go back and my mother in-law too.

I don't even know what to do, my mental life is zero, I have withdrawn from everyone, I'm practically in poverty due to this addiction
He is a wonderful man BUT this addiction is a very big problem. We have prayed, fasted, gone to doctors but it's still there.

I don't know what to do .

Family / Why Is There Rise On Divorce? by obinnaxci(m): 11:34am On May 20, 2022
We see that there is an increase in the divorce rate as times flies by. Couples get divorced due to numerous reasons. Earlier, the divorce rate was not high but with the passing of each year, it started going up rapidly.

Prior to this rise, divorce was scarce and not too easy. Also, life after divorce was not that smooth and ups as well as downs to be faced alone. If the divorced person is a single parent, it was all the more hard as a child requires both parents during their growing years. Facing hardship as a single parent and making both ends meet was hard that time and is difficult this time too but not impossible.

Why Is There A Rise In Divorce?

Some of the reasons are the following:

Social acceptance- It came to be accepted by society with the passage of time and it came to be viewed as normal. Along with it, those who had been in their unhappy marriage for years and wanted to come out of it, also started getting divorced even if they were aged. They preferred to get divorced rather than staying in the unhappy marriage any more longer and be independent as well as support themselves to a new beginning. In addition to this, younger couples prefer divorce rather than being in an unhappy marriage throughout their life.

Changes in law – With time, changes occurred in law and accordingly society has also changed. Nothing remains as it is but changes keep happening and so did it happen in law. The divorce became more easy. For those who support the Cannon law of the Holy Bible that prohibits divorce, recall that as at the time Jesus Christ expressly forbade divorce, he said so according to the thoughts of men in that era. Laws are dynamic and are expected to adapt to the lifestyle of mankind. Man was never made for laws. Laws were made as a guide for mankind. Now there are laws that permit divorce on the grounds of fraud or deceit, irreconcilable differences and behaviors, domestic violence and the like.

Marriage expectations- Compared to early days , now everyone expects or have expectations about their marriage and their married life . Once, they find that the marriage is an unhappy one or their identity gets dissolved or not up to the expectations then they feel it is better to get divorced than staying in the marriage. Time has come when women are finding their ground, becoming independent, professionally successful, have made a place for themselves in almost all fields, building an identity for themselves, values self-respect and dignity. So women prefer not to stay in a marriage where they lose their identity , self-respect and so on. This is a similar case for men too. Then, in such cases, they prefer divorce and live a life of their expectations.
Conclusion

Getting divorced is more preferable rather than being in an unhappy marriage where the spouse or both spouses are dissatisfied and find it difficult to move on together in their marriage journey.

Religion / Re: Why Did You Choose Your Current Church? by obinnaxci(m): 9:10am On Nov 07, 2021
I was raised a catholic. I wanted to change church badly. I've been to all the churches and even went to mosque once on a Friday, voluntarily. I would have been a Muslim if I wanted but I can't denounce Jesus as my lord and saviour. Other churches have a lot of comma, eg. the standing and dancing for over 1 freaking hour and praying over the top of your voice is irritating. I prefer the sober life of Catholicism. JUST KNEEL for a couple of seconds, stand for a couple of minutes and viola. No stress. And when the priest says pray for your private intentions, you will never hear nor see anyone raise their voice so high in the name of prayer. Other Christian denominations pray to God like God is deaf. Smh. I still wonder why.

No church is better than the other. You are just not sure of whether you are doing the right thing or not. Have you done confirmation? If no, then it's understandable why you said this.
Bigredmachine:

This is what am taking about ... You say am castigating the Catholic church, fine I may not have voiced my displeasure using the right grammar, as English no be my mate... But what am saying is that everyone has one or two things to say about their church being the best...

Good they have told us countless time how we pray to God through Mary to intercede for us and how its not worshiping but honour of some sort...

I can't just go on and on but there are so many things wrong with the church of today...
Romance / Re: I'm in love with a girl at my workplace. by obinnaxci(m): 9:01am On Nov 07, 2021
Take a a year off before you get into another relationship. You still haven't healed yet cause you are subconsciously still in love with your ex. Give yourself till April 2022. You are 29 years old not 39 years old. You are still young. All the best man. And my own personal advice, I've dated someone who lived close to me and dated another who worked in same place as I did. I never had peace of mind for reasons I can't discuss in public view. You know what to do. Do not make irrational decisions yet. The good thing is that you took the first step to seek for advice. So Goodluck.
Benard5050:
I'm 29 yrs old, I had a breakup with the girl I've been dating for 4 yrs this year April. Since then it has been so hard for me 2 be in a relationship cos I think my ex could still come back cos I still love her.

I had a brief relationship with a lady last 2 months but didn't last long cos I'm still yet over my ex.

There's this lady that joined my working place and also my next-door neighbor, she's kind and her character has been so gud for d six weeks she started working at my place of work.

I think I'm loving her but I will not want what happened with d lady I had a brief relationship with to happen again.

Guys do u think I should go ahead and ask her out?

I'm scared of d negative that might arise cos we are working in d same establishment even though I'm a senior colleague to her there.

Guys is this advisable? I'll be on d tread to answer any question u might want to ask. Thanks.

Crime / Re: Help! A Loan App Agent Keeps Blackmailing Me by obinnaxci(m): 9:22am On Nov 05, 2021
There's a law called Data Protection Regulation of 2019. If any company or App or website is to access your contacts, they must state it clearly where you can see it. Merely writing terms and conditions is not the same with a Privacy Policy.
dxdiag:

The terms and conditions are for your perusal, you agreed to it after downloading the apps and you agreed to your contacts synced with there platform. It's well stated the charges/intrest rate and for prolonging to pay the debt you know automatically it attracts extra charges.
It will be of interest and for peace of mind to clear ur debt plus interest accured.
Rather than borrowing money from loan app/loan sharks, speak with your trusted friends or colleague to borrow you money. This kind of attitude of your to be honest is killing business and taking food off people's mouth.
Education / Re: My Friends Abuse Me Because I'm Schooling... by obinnaxci(m): 8:37am On Nov 04, 2021
I have a friend who was into fraud, the advise I gave him which he followed and never regretted is going to law school and becoming a lawyer. And friend who talks you out of achieving your dreams is no friend of yours at all. Cut off negative friends and keep those who support you. See how your life changes.
tunjilee003:
Most of my friends who are not schooling are into fraud, while chatting with them, they will always tell me i'm wasting my time and resources.... This always make me depressed.... I'm tired and don't know what to do....

Bro, girls no dey finish. Out of 7 billion people in this world, 5.5bn are women. Don't stress yourself. You are a man, act like one. Just know that there's always that one ex or side nigga or chic who will ruin things. Trust me, she can never be done with him. That guy will keep coming back to her.
Decolink:
Please I will try to be brief.
I started dating her in 2017,we dated for 3yrs and I traveled outside the country in 2020.
We didn't have any problems and I was serious about getting married to her.
When I was leaving she promised not to have another boyfriend and to wait for me(she is 24). I promised not to disappoint her.
It was going well for sometime until after one year,we had a quarel and separated.

About 3 months ago,we got back together, and she said she was still intact and waiting for me.
We started communicating regularly, but I noticed that each time were talking, she would be receiving calls frequently, after sometime,I confronted her with it,she lied that he was her customer. But I called the guy and found out he is a guy that was chiking her before.
She later admitted that she dated the guy when we had quarels. She also admitted to going to night clubs that period.

I still love her,but I'm pained because she cheated, lied about it and was reluctant about coming out of that relationship.
I'm also thinking of continuing the relationship because I have been outside for 2year now,it happened when we quarelled and she has agreed to stop it.
Nairalanders,do you think I should quit the relationship or go ahead with marriage plans.
Business / Re: Loan Apps Have Put Me Into Longlasting Depression by obinnaxci(m): 8:03am On Oct 29, 2021
Prayer won't do anything if you don't help yourself.
Report them to National Information Technology and Development Agency (NITDA). They are regulated by the Nigerian Data Protection Regulation of 2019. Sokoloan was fined 10 million naira for breaching data protection and privacy laws. Do not waste time if you want peace of mind. Contact me if you need further assistance on how to go about this report. Regards and take it easy.
Vansam:
I am writing this with tears in my eyes and with the feeling that i may not live to see tomorrow as a result of what online lending apps did to me. I have never for once thought that my life could turn this way until the year 2021 when circumstances forced me to become a regular debtor from online loan Apps.

I am a masters degree holder, working with a reputable firm in Nigeria but also underemployed because the pay couldn't sustain me, my family, and my dependents. The organisation i work with pays their permanent staff well, a diploma holder can earn up to 300k a month but as a contract staff i only go home with 63k monthly even with my educational qualification. I am a committed and dedicated staff of the organisation i work for but all my efforts always go in vain year in year out. I have been a contract staff for over five years with this organization and served them diligently and having being a key team player with problem solving skills, yet they never wanted to convert me into a permanent staff to enjoy the benefit of my labour. I believe many talented Nigerians are facing this same problem where they give cheap labour to the employers who prefers to keep incompetent and less qualified staff based on reasons known to them.

I know some people here will begin to judge me for taking a loan, others may likely mock or ridicule me; etc. Let me say this, pray for yourself not to be in a situation where you have no one to help you except yourself alone. That was the type of situation i found myself that made me started taking online loans to carter for myself and family. I used every loan i took to boost my small side business. However, because these loan apps are unregulated, they do anything they like to harm you in any possible ways.

I am not a loan defaulter, i always pay my loan when due but i found myself in a situation where i have no other option than to reapply for another loan immediately after repayment because their outrageous interest of up to 50% with 7-14 days duration of payback has made me a slave in bondage with no where to run. My salary always goes to loan repayment, my side hustle also goes to loan repayment.

Many times i cried loud alone in my room that why is Nigeria not interested in investigating how these apps operate? Why can't Nigeria setup a law that will make these companies lower their high interest charges with very short duration? I have taken a loan of 70k to pay back 100k in 4 days; i also took a loan of 80k to pay back 120k in just 7 days, etc. and once you missed a day of your repayment these loan apps will begin to tarnish your image sending sms to all your contacts calling you a criminal eve if you have a clean repayment record.

The reason why i am making this post is to advice people who are taking loans from these apps that give just 7 days duration with almost 50% interest to please for your own good desist from them. I am in a situation whereby i have defaulted some loans i took because i have no choice anymore, their outrageous charges has put me into depression.

For over a week now, I've been embarrassed a lot, sms were sent to my contacts tarnishing my image as a fraudster even when these companies know i have a very clean repayment record with them and i will eventually pay. Please pray for me, i'm really scared, i don't sleep, i am a hypertensive patient, i do not have anything now, i sold my belongings, etc in order to settle some of these loans but yet their high interest rate already got me into their trap.

Pray for me please so i can survive this. Thank you.
