MIKOLOWISKA: I'm not so sure about your post. I have a prepaid meter installed at my home and we just completed a 4-storey shopping complex with 48 pre-paid meters installed (1 per shop). So year, pre-paid meters are available. That said, things may be different with your region's DISCO. 1 Like |

nairalanda1: I think pre-paid meters can address the issue of collection availability. Make the pre-paid meters readily available and let customers pay as the use power. Simple....I think.. 1 Like |

Ready2speak: Actually it's real. The slain individual was part of a Ukrainian DGR intercepted by the Russian FSB in Bryansk. That said, I don't think he's Navy Seal because he has a "Ranger" tattoo. So I think US Army 75th Ranger Battalion or maybe ex Green Beret (SFOD-Alpha,). |
Foreign Affairs / Re: Behind The Scenes Of Israeli Attack: Over 100 Aircraft And A 2,000 Km Journey by ocelot2006(m): 9:55pm On Oct 26 |
ruggedtimi: Different kettle of fish. This is Iran, and tge distance to be covered quite high. I equally have doubts that 100 birds were used. There's absolutely no way such a huge strike package would've been concealed. Then again I may be wrong and we don't know. I definitely concure that everyone wait till more info on the Isreali strikes are released. |
Foreign Affairs / Re: Israel Destroyed Irans S-300 Air Defense System by ocelot2006(m): 9:44pm On Oct 26 |
NothingDoMe: That's definitely not dominance of Iranian airspace. The fact that the Isrealis had to attack from Iraqi airspace is a clear indication that they use standoff weapons from afar and they were concerned about infiltrating Iranian airspace. Iran is not HAMAS or Hezbollah as it has an Airforce along with decent AD system. |

Pahaahaahahha: What makes you think the Iranians don't own at least ONE nuclear warhead? The Iranians already posses the technology to build nuclear weapons along with a TESTED & PROVEN missile program (cruise, ballistic, hypersonics). |

Foreign Affairs / Re: US Starts Upgrade Of F16 As Clients Prever Chinese FC31, Eurofighter Typhoon by ocelot2006(m): 1:54am On Oct 16 |
sunboy: A very fair assessment. True the F-16 is a warbird with a proven & tested combat track record. That said, there are new and more lethal birds in the weapons market that will give the F-16 a run for it's money if flown by a competent pilot. 2 Likes |

Tinubuagbado: Special jets indeed. Even the JF-17 Thunder has similar flight characteristcs/qualities as the F-16, and the Chinese J-10C is considered superior. Performance wise the F16 hasn't wowed anyone in battlefield Ukraine; the Russian MiG-31 (Assassin)has performed way better. So you'll excuse us if people are not dazzled by the F-16. F-15 series? Definitely. But F16? Meh... |

Dpharisee: Oh please stop it. Of all the media houses, Aljazeera is one of the most balanced. Their report on the October 7th incident last year was quite detailed. The only difference between them and western agencies is that they're embedded in the communities of the Palestinian victims and are able to report what's actually happening without fear or favour compared to others. |

Mille: Last time the Jordanians shot down Iranian missiles, the Jordanian people almost turned against the Monarchy, calling them traitors. Of course King Abdullah will quietly and happily sit this one out. Besides maybe it's hoped that this will knock some sense into the Israelis who've been on a killing spree that has basically pissed off everyone. Hopefully they'll realize that the Iranians can also reach out at touch any part of Israel, and back down from this whole mess......or maybe they won't... 8 Likes 2 Shares |

Lawag3: You are wrong. Isreal had the following objectives: 1. Rescue the soldiers abducted: The IDF failed on that with the dead bodies of the slain soldiers released by Hezbollah at the end of the conflict. 2. Eliminate Hezbollah rockets: NOT only the IDF fail woefully on that objective, Hezbollah's rocket attacks actually doubled till the very end of the conflict. 3. Ground Invasion of Sothern Lebanon: Now this was the icing on the cake as it was here that Hezbollah practically destroyed the myth of the IDF's invincibility. When Hezbollah started knocking out IDF Merkava armour with Russian made Kornets ATGM, and Hezbollah thoroughly embarrassed seasoned IDF units like Matkal, Egoz, and Co, inflicting serious casualties while fighting stubbornly, then the IDF knew they bit far more than they could chew. In the very end Hezbollah basically won that war because they successfully denied Isreal of the later's strategic objectives. On the other hand, it was as a result of Isreal's failure that the public called for the resignation of Prime Minister Olmert and his Defence Minister. Anyway, I suggest you read up on the conflict. 7 Likes |

Neduzoma123456: Oh really? Have you factored in other costs or you think it's only wage/Salaries private schools? What of the administrative cost used to run the school? You know stationaries and Co? What about cost of providing power (public AND self generated) ESPECIALLY with diesel at N1,300.00 pet litre? How about cost of fuelling X number of school vehicles for transport service? And same vehicles, you have to maintain them, right? What about your generators? And there's the depreciation/maintenance costs? Oh...there's the the almighty LG/State/Federal MULTIPLE TAXS. Have you factored those? For a boarding school, you have to feed the children in your care EVERYDAY. Where do you think the money? It is equally fairly certain that these schools must either improve on their services or invest in new ones to stay competitive, hence new projects. Who pays for those? And other services I.e. garbage disposal, internet services, etc? The problem I have with posts like this is that most of you are totally ignorant about what it takes to run an educational institution. All I can say is that I pray you have the opportunity to build and run yours. Then you'll fully understand that it's not naively simple as you think. 3 Likes |

id4sho: What a load of bull dung. If you don't know much about running a private school, I suggest you don't talk about it. Have you factored the monthly wage bills, cost of power supply, fuelling of vehicles, depreciation costs, MULTIPLE TAXES, administrative costs, etc? Private schools are basically on survival mode. As for the teacher in question, she's not serious at all. If she's not happy, she can go look for a job someplace else. Simple. 1 Like |

I think our Air Force could've handled this with its transport fleet (C-130). I think NAF acquired a Boeing 737 a few years. Just fly out troops to different hubs/bases (Lagos, Abuja, Enugu, PHC). |

I'm all for funding SMEs as they grow to become larger, creating more jobs and contributing more to govt IGR via taxes. However funding ang guidance need to be done properly. |
