Culture / Re: Why Must Nigerians Abroad Marry Nigerians? by ocho(f): 4:45am On Mar 27, 2006
@olakunle_2: Oh my! poor you! sad I know this is not the time for sympathy but i can't help it seeing as my parents are(will be) like that too. The whole"no marrying a foreigner" speech? i must have heared it a thousand times already!
Ok, from your recent post you live in places where it is hard to come across our kind  right? have you considered um, relocating? ok, maybe not relocating in the real sence of it because u might have a job right now(sorry, wasn't thinking about that) but you could go on vaction at those places that are some what populated with Nigerians. Better still, you could just return to Nigeria and reside there for a while(i'm sure you miss home grin) and begin the dating process. I know it's possible that  finding the "one" and getting to know her  might take longer than your intended stay in Nigeria but then the relationship could always continue after you return to Norfolk.(where on earth is that?  )
I know this guy who was actually born here and is not Nigerian in anyway(well, except for the fact that his parents are) and he was the last person I was expecting  to go home mainly in search of a wife but he did, and he got one. wink  So maybe you should think about that too. undecided  I really wish you well and hope you find the "one" soon enough. smiley
Fashion / Re: Would You Get A Tattoo? by ocho(f): 3:56am On Mar 27, 2006

Education / Re: Your Secondary School And University? by ocho(f): 6:34am On Mar 26, 2006
Noo, i highly doubt if you'd know me or even the other way around. I meant "let me see too" as in i too want to know if Josboy was a wicked senior student angry cheesy  tongue@Josboy
I am/was a Bauchi girl remember? So unless you used to visit Bauchi often or maybe attended a school there at some point, it's almost not possible that we know each other.
So does that answer who I am? or in this case, who I might not be?  grin

Consultant:

Well, not in my case. On the contrary, my husband was very proud of me.
That's good to know wink

Consultant:

Actually, it could go either way. Some women are totally turned off when they're pregant but i won't tell you what happened in my case. grin
now u got me curious!!! grin
Family / Re: A Birth Story - Experiences Of A First Time Mother by ocho(f): 4:37pm On Mar 25, 2006
One more thing, seeing as it is very important to me that my husband stays with me during my labour preiod, I had read that husbands find their wives less attractive after seeing her give birth and women were actually adviced agaist insisting that their husbands be there with them. I'm not buying that angry no way!!! So I just wanted to know (this might entail asking your husband and hopefully he'll be brutally honest) how true that is, not that it'll change my mind or anything because i've pretty much got my mind made up on that issue. If it's usually the case, then i'll just have to work on my staying sexy after child birth, I mean what else can i do? really!!
Family / Re: A Birth Story - Experiences Of A First Time Mother by ocho(f): 4:25pm On Mar 25, 2006
Oh dear God, the pains women go through. I loooooove your story Consultant, pretty impressive the way you handled most of the pain. I know my self too well and would be a totally different person when i'm in labour(future husband beware, u've been fore warned!!!! cheesy) I'd scream, I so would, I mean I already do that for the least painful things. embarassed
I had to ask though, were there any more name callings at your husband during the"push" stage? I've seen so many movies and that's the point at which the poor husbands get the worst insultst ever. I must admit that's pretty funny, cheesy not that I'd do it on purpose or anything.
So if i read correctly, you did have a C-section right? or no? and just out of curiosity, what causes one to be over due? I'd hate to be.  sad  I am looking forward to my first birth experience, It should be exciting(afer the pain is gone that is). Just the tought of conceiving another (tiny, innocent, cute, adorable) life would set me in a euphoric mood for a while, so maybe my husband need not fear afer all.
I was laughing at the part where your husband read your mind and decided against leaving, I'd want my husband to be in the delivery room with me, and if he made an excuse to leave? angry He'd be toast !!!  angry angry Hopefully, he'll be there with me for all (2nd,3rd,4th undecided) birth expereinces.
Congatulations on the birth of your baby girl  smiley and I wish you the very best on your voyage through motherhood(which i know is even more tasking than the original child birth) smiley
