Business / Short Term Business Loans: How Do I Apply And Get It by OGReporters: 12:59pm On Feb 28
As a small business owner, you understand the ups and downs in cash flow. When sales dip or expenses rise, you may find yourself facing a cash crunch. Though you expect business to pick back up, you need operating capital now to bridge the temporary gap.

Short term business loans allow you to borrow a set amount of money that will be repaid in under a year. These financing options provide fast access to capital that can help you smooth out cash flow fluctuations.

In this article, you’ll learn about short term loan options including merchant cash advances, accounts receivable financing, business lines of credit, and more. Weigh the pros and cons of each to determine the best choice for your company’s immediate capital needs and long-term financial health.

What Are Short Term Business Loans?

Short term business loans are designed to provide your company with quick financing to cover temporary cash flow gaps or fund short-term operational expenses. These loans typically have repayment terms of less than a year, ranging from a few months up to 12 months.

Types of Short Term Business Loans

The two most common types of short term business loans are working capital loans and bridge loans. Working capital loans provide funding to cover day-to-day business expenses like inventory, payroll, and operating costs. Bridge loans are used to “bridge” a short-term funding gap, such as financing a new product launch or expansion until longer-term funding can be secured.

Qualifying for a Short Term Business Loan

To qualify for a short term business loan, lenders will evaluate your business’ ability to repay the loan. This includes reviewing your business financial statements, revenue streams, cash flow, and credit score. Strong annual revenue, steady cash flow, and a solid business credit score will increase your chances of approval and may qualify you for better terms. Some lenders may also require a personal guarantee, collateral, or assets to secure the loan.

Pros and Cons of Short Term Business Loans

Short term business loans offer fast access to capital but often come with higher interest rates than long-term financing options. The quick turnaround and flexibility these loans provide can be useful in emergency situations or to take advantage of a short-term opportunity. However, the short repayment terms mean the loan must be paid back quickly, and failure to repay the loan on time can result in penalties and damage your business’s credit.

Short term business loans can be an important tool for managing your company’s cash flow and funding short-term needs. By understanding the different types of short term loans, qualifying factors, and weighing the pros and cons, you can determine if a short term business loan is the right choice for your company. With the right loan and terms, short term financing may provide an essential bridge to long term stability and growth.

When Should You Consider a Short Term Business Loan?

Unexpected Expenses

Unanticipated costs can arise at any time and threaten your cash flow. A short term business loan can provide quick funding to cover emergency expenses like equipment repairs, temporary staffing needs, or other unforeseen costs. These loans offer fast approval and funding so you can obtain the capital you need in a timely manner.

Seasonal Demand

For businesses that experience seasonal fluctuations in sales and revenue, short term financing can help bridge the gap. The influx of capital from a short term loan will allow you to adequately stock inventory, hire temporary staff, and market your business during your busy season. Once sales pick up, the loan can be repaid to avoid high interest charges. This strategy allows you to maximize the opportunity during your peak season.

New Opportunities

When a new opportunity arises, speed and flexibility are essential. A short term business loan provides quick access to capital so you can act fast to take advantage of a new opportunity. This could include things like a chance to buy equipment or materials at a steep discount, secure a lucrative new contract, or purchase an additional location. The fast funding of a short term loan will allow you to jump on opportunities that could help grow your business.

Cash Flow Gaps

Most businesses experience fluctuations in cash flow that can make it difficult to pay bills or cover payroll. A short term business loan provides an injection of working capital to fill in cash flow gaps. The funds from the loan can be used to pay vendors, creditors, and employees during periods where your business is waiting for accounts receivable to be paid or sales to pick up. Once the cash flow issue has been resolved, the loan is repaid to avoid high interest charges. This type of financing is ideal for temporary cash flow problems.

In summary, if your business experiences unexpected costs, seasonal changes in demand, new opportunities for growth, or temporary cash flow issues, a short term business loan may be a good solution. The fast application, approval, and funding provide the flexibility and speed you need during critical times. However, these loans do come with high interest rates, so you must have a plan to repay the loan quickly once the need for capital has passed.

Business / How To Start A Dropshipping Business With No Money by OGReporters: 5:38pm On Feb 26
Starting a business can seem like an intimidating process, especially if you lack capital. However, with the right knowledge, mindset, and tools, you can launch an online dropshipping store without spending any money upfront. In this article, you’ll learn proven strategies for starting a dropshipping business from scratch.

We’ll discuss how to find reliable suppliers, choose a niche and products, build an online store, and drive traffic without a large marketing budget. You’ll also learn tips for managing operations and scaling your dropshipping business once it gains traction.

With persistence and creativity, you can turn your dropshipping side hustle into a thriving business and achieve financial freedom. This guide will equip you with actionable advice to overcome the common obstacles faced by first-time entrepreneurs. You’ll gain the confidence to start your dropshipping journey today.

Find the Right Dropshipping Niche and Products

Analyze Market Trends

To determine a profitable dropshipping niche, analyze current trends and identify products that are in high demand. Study trending products on major e-commerce platforms like Amazon and eBay, follow influencers and brands in various industries on social media, and track popular keywords on Google Trends. Look for products that have steady, consistent demand over time rather than temporary fads. Some evergreen niches include tech accessories, fitness equipment, home decor, and beauty products.

Source High-Quality Suppliers

Once you identify products with strong potential, find reliable suppliers that offer those items. Use dropshipping directories like SaleHoo and Worldwide Brands to connect with wholesale suppliers, manufacturers, and liquidators. Make sure suppliers offer high-quality products, competitive pricing, fast shipping, and good customer service. It may take testing a few different suppliers to find the right match for your business.

Choose Products with High Profit Margins

For the best results, choose products that yield a healthy profit margin, even after accounting for various dropshipping fees. Aim for items with at least a 30-50% markup between the wholesale and retail price. Products that are lightweight, non-perishable, and do not require special handling or refrigeration are ideal for dropshipping since they minimize shipping costs and complications.

When searching for the right products, consider your target audience and what types of goods would appeal to them. The products you choose to sell will largely determine the overall success and profitability of your dropshipping business. By identifying trending products with strong demand, high-quality suppliers, and healthy profit margins, you will be well on your way to finding a lucrative dropshipping niche.

Set Up Your Dropshipping Business With Free Tools

To get your dropshipping business off the ground without investing capital, leverage free tools and resources. First, you’ll need a website to showcase your products. Use a free ecommerce platform like Shopify to build an online storefront. Shopify offers templates to create a professional looking website, with features like shopping carts, payment processing, and shipping calculators. You can sign up for a free 14-day trial and pay as you go thereafter.

In the summer of 2020, Serie A club Napoli secured Osimhen's signature for a club-record fee of €70 million potentially rising to €80 million with add-ons, making him the most expensive African transfer to date.

Since joining Napoli, Osimhen has emerged as one of the world's best young strikers, quickly becoming the club's main man after just two seasons in Italy.

On May 4, 2023, he scored a crucial 52nd-minute equalizer against Udinese in the Serie A, helping Napoli clinch the 2022/23 season title, their first Scudetto since 1990.

Bola Tinubu, the ‘President-elect’ of Nigeria’s ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), has reportedly instructed his aides, handlers of his social media accounts, and visitors not to use mobile phones that are not approved in France. This directive was allegedly given to prevent the severity of his ailment from being disclosed to the public.

SaharaReporters exclusively reported in March that Tinubu traveled to Europe to seek medical care after falling ill due to the intense electioneering that led to his emergence as the ‘President-elect’ and the tension that built up ahead of the March 18 Lagos State governorship and House of Assembly elections where he also voted.

spokesperson, Tunde Rahman, confirmed that Tinubu traveled to Paris, France, and the United Kingdom to rest and plan the transition program, and would later go to Saudi Arabia for the lesser hajj.

According to a top source, Tinubu is still being treated by medical doctors at the facility he went to in Paris, France...

Politics / My Trust Has Broken Down Completely” – Wole Soyinka Speaks On The Last Election by OGReporters: 6:10am On Apr 04, 2023
Nigerian Nobel laureate, Wole Soyinka, expressed his dissatisfaction with the recent Nigerian elections during an appearance on the Roadmap 2023 program on Channels Television.

Soyinka described the elections as “not exactly the most edifying exercise that we’ve been through” and lamented the lack of restraint displayed by seasoned politicians.

Soyinka had been out of the country for several months and was shocked by the “horrendous narratives” that surrounded the elections upon his return. He noted that his trust in the political system had completely broken down as he read columns and saw Nigerian papers for the first time in months.

While he refrained from commenting on the electoral process, Soyinka stated that he was aware of what was happening in Nigeria and believed that the country was moving towards a situation where the existing mould was going to be broken. He added that there were signs that there would be die-hard opposition to the breaking of that mould.

A South African pastor, Siva Moodley, who died on August 15, 2021, has been buried 579 days after his death because his family and congregation were waiting for his resurrection.

According to reports from the South African News, Moodley’s body was kept at a Johannesburg mortuary all this time.

The 53-year-old pastor claimed that he could bring people back to life. However, he died after falling ill, and despite this, his family and church members regularly visited the mortuary, praying for his resurrection.

The prolonged delay in burying Moodley’s body went against the legal and social norms. Therefore, the funeral home manager, Martin du Toit, applied to the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court for permission to either bury or cremate Moodley’s body.
