I will indulge you to study, 2 most advnced economies and how they are surporting their own citizens, to fix personal business, which they know,it would be a beneficiary to the country in the long run.

Business / Re: Akinwumi Adesina Says This Dangote Issue Is Shocking - Otedola by ojuu4u(m): 1:54pm On Jul 23
malali:
Akinwunmi Adesina,

Your passionate defense of Dangote’s monopolistic tendencies is misplaced and ultimately detrimental to Nigeria's long-term economic health. Let’s be clear: the open free market should determine winners and losers, not subjugation or forced patronage.

Monopoly and Market Distortion

You argue that monopoly exists due to high barriers to entry or high capital costs. While this may hold some truth, it does not justify the creation or maintenance of monopolies, especially not through governmental favoritism. Dangote has benefitted immensely from the Nigerian state: free limestone, free land for cement factories, some of the cheapest non-unionized labor in the world, unlimited tax concessions, and numerous import waivers. Despite these advantages, what has been the result? The cement business remains a monopolistic cartel. Do Nigerians enjoy cheap cement today? The answer is a resounding no. Dangote was one of the first to hike cement prices, exercising his market dominance at the expense of Nigerian consumers.

Dangote Refineries and Energy Sector Monopoly

Now, you suggest we should hand over the energy sector, crucial for 300 million people, to a single man. This is both dangerous and short-sighted. Dangote’s decision to build a $19.5 billion refinery was his own business choice, and with any business venture comes inherent risks. He should have anticipated the possibility of buying crude at market rates and selling refined products in an open market. Expecting the NNPC to capitulate to his demands reeks of entitlement and undermines the very principles of fair competition and market dynamics.

Misplaced Sympathy and Entitlement

Your attempt to elicit sympathy by emphasizing Dangote’s massive investment ignores the fundamental fact that he should have considered market contingencies. Dangote should compete on equal footing with other businesses, not seek special treatment. Throwing a tantrum and trying to manipulate crude sales and petrol procurement from the NNPC signals a disturbing sense of entitlement.

Economic Independence and Fair Competition

Nigeria’s energy sector, like any other, must remain open to fair competition. Your call for protectionist measures to favor Dangote is a call to undermine the very fabric of a free market economy. The energy sector should be driven by innovation, efficiency, and competition, not by monopolistic practices.

A Call for Economic Justice

The days of allowing a few individuals to dominate critical sectors of our economy must end. We have seen what happens when monopolies are allowed to flourish – prices soar, quality suffers, and innovation stagnates. It’s time for Nigeria to embrace a truly competitive market, where every player has an equal opportunity to succeed.

Adesina, you call for support and protection of local industries, but true support lies in fostering a competitive environment where no single entity can dictate terms. We must not surrender our economic future to a few individuals. The Nigerian people deserve better – they deserve fair competition, better prices, and improved quality of goods and services.

Nigeria's economic landscape should be determined by open competition and market forces, not by entitlements and monopolistic control. It’s time for a new era of economic justice and fairness, where the interests of the many are prioritized over the privileges of the few.

Sincerely,
Malali.

Thank you for your long epistle and ur understanding on the issue, but sir, when will ur daddy would start his own refinery, iron still, bitumen, railway and other gigantic and capital expensive companies?

We want him to benefit alot from govt surports like Dangote and by extention, for nigeria's youths to be able to have job opporunities.

We dnt want people to be japaing" to sahara desert again, where they exploit nigeria citizens

Institutional system can never be strengthened in Nigeria, too much interests and variables (sitting president, ethnicity, religion, even sponsors of president before he comes to power) are determinants and these would limit efficiency of occupiers.

EFCC, ICPC, CBN, FIRS, CUSTOM, IG, DSS, among other are supposed to complete neutral and not supposed to be having political consideration before appointment people of proving integrity into them

Sixfiguresmart:
surah 2:76 When they meet the believers they say, “We believe.” But in private they say ˹to each other˺, “Will you disclose to the believers the knowledge Allah has revealed to you,1 so that they may use it against you before your Lord? Do you not understand?”

Isn't this some sort of cultists encounter? What knowledge should we be hiding from people? The God of the Bible advises you to proclaim his knowledge and not to hold it in. In fact, Jesus taught that we should give free cos' we received it for free.

In Islam, it is all about secrecy and confidentiality so that someone else will not know. Imagine using the knowledge that God has given you against you before God? The Bible says the opposite, that if you do not tell it, you are complacent. Tell the evil man his ways so that he can change. Here we have Islam asking you to conceal it. This is why if you ask an average muslim details regarding islam, he is always lost or he will look for a mullah to help him explain it.

Well I think it’s the other way around, you religious folk would never leave we unbelievers alone.

It’s either you’re preaching in the bus, making noise in the mosque on Friday. Constituting nuisance on Friday night in the form of vigil. Moving all around on Saturday proselytizing. And to cap it up, making noise on Sunday.

Have you ever seen an unbeliever constitute such nuisance?

If u are not jobless and not occupied, you won't have time for others people about their faith ooo.

What people choose to serve and do with their life and religion is personal to them, as its personal to u, not to biliv in existence of God.

Wow!!!! Holy smokes! Well there has to be a criteria for something before it is categorised. For example Pluto didn’t fall in the category of a planet because it didn’t posses any of the characteristics.

So if there’s no criteria before you consider something a tree then anyone can just wake up and call a spirogyra a tree

Back to the OP. It might not really be a serious case, because the people who wrote the bible didn’t understand how the world works. They wrote it based on what they understood grin maybe at that time it was classified a tree.

But it becomes wrong if you try to use the bible as a science text book to explain how the natural world works

What I don’t understand about these believers is that they do not practice everything in their so called sacred book. If you ask a Christian why doesn’t he do what Deuteronomy commands him to do ( he’s permitted to own slaves, he’s permitted to rape and murder). You’d hear things like it’s the Old Testament and god has abandoned.

Common! God didn’t abandon anything, you just used your common sense to tell you that what the bible told you was wrong. if you can throw some parts of the bible away why don’t you just throw everything away

Are u practicing everything according to constitution of ur land? Do that first, the lives of believers are of no important to u pls.

Ur frustrated life, when will u smoothening it? If u can't straighten it, why can't u throw it away into a flowing river?

Having heart attack on top of someone life when ur own has grinded to crumbles won't do u well ooo.

Lol.

It once happened to me .....my gf back in uni introduce me to another guy as just a dept mate in my presence (we have dated for 3yrs).
Like that wasn't enough....this girl asked me to come inside her room with the guy cos I met both of them outside her hostel....I was so shock that day that for like 3min my brain stopped working.

Omo that was the end of the relationship.......everyone begged me I no gree even one of our lecturer talk to me I no gree ooo.

That girl taught one lesson in life...Never ever tolerate rubbish in relationship no matter how much you love the person......if you do it will be taken for granted.

Op if you don't end that relationship ASAP then you are a full breed SIMP.

Wen I was younger, no girl that I was dating could ever imagine to introduce me as friend to her boyfriend, .....for they knew, the result would be highly ridiculed them on that spot.

For girl to introduce you as her friend before her boyfriend, she also had confident to go ahead and ask u to come inside and sit down with ur rival in her room, means, the girl was in control of relationship, not only with you, but also ur co-fucker.

If u re in total control of relationship with ur girl, the girl will lost stability if you and ur rival meet in her place. infact, she will scare if *ordinary ur friend* caught her with another guy.
