A man and his wife have been killed in multiple explosions that rocked Kafan Ruwa town in Konduga Local Government Area of Borno State. The explosions occurred around 12:30am on Sunday, according to residents
We also gathered that many people also sustained injuries from the blasts.

A security source says details of the actual casualty figure could not be ascertained yet but a man and his wife were killed in the blast.

A woman says contracting coronavirus ended up saving her life, when Covid doctors discovered she had an undiagnosed heart condition.

Angela Schlegel was hospitalised after 11 days of coronavirus symptoms.

Her heart condition – which medics said could have proved fatal – came to light while she was in intensive care at London’s Royal Brompton Hospital.

The 36-year-old said: “It just blew my mind as I was told my heart was not functioning the way it should be.”

She had initially been taken to Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, on 22 March, where scans showed fluid around her lungs and heart.

She was transferred to the Royal Brompton and diagnosed with eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis (EGPA) – a condition that can damage various organ systems in the body including the heart, joints, lungs, and nerves.

A church in London has continued selling a fake Covid-19 cure, despite being under investigation by the charity watchdog.

The Charity Commission launched a probe into the Kingdom Church, in south London, earlier this month for selling coronavirus “protection kits”.

But instead of stopping the sale, the church renamed the kits and is now selling “divine cleansing oil”.

The church said it was “convinced” the oil cured Covid-19.

Bishop Climate Wiseman, of the Kingdom Church which is based in Camberwell, claimed his kits – a bottle of oil and some red yarn, priced at £91 – would protect his followers from the virus.

A baby and a three-year-old boy have been stabbed to death at a home.
Police were called to reports of a man and two children injured in Aldborough Road North in Ilford, east London, at about 17:30 BST.
A one-year-old girl was pronounced dead at the scene, while the boy died in hospital, the Met Police said

The military is to begin testing essential workers around the UK for coronavirus in mobile units which will operate in “hard to reach” areas.

At least 96 new pop-up facilities, which will travel to care homes, police and fire stations, prisons and benefits centres, are due to be running by May.

It comes as the government looks to reach its target of carrying out 100,000 tests per day by Thursday.

Meanwhile, the PM will return to work in Downing Street on Monday morning.

It is just over two weeks since Boris Johnson was released from hospital, where he was treated in intensive care for coronavirus.

Managers at Harbour House Care Home say testing staff is one of their “biggest challenges”

Care homes looking after thousands of vulnerable residents have said none of their staff have been tested for coronavirus.

Out of 210 care providers spoken to by the BBC, 159 said none of their workers had been screened.

Some have told how staff face long journeys to test centres, with one reporting a three-hour round trip.

The government said all symptomatic staff, residents and their families would be tested.

On Sunday it was announced that the military will begin testing essential workers in mobile units operating at sites in “hard to reach” areas, including care homes.
