Hello all,

Please let us have a verified information before we make our conclusions.

If ETB finally reviews their salary to that, then i think its very good for them o!

They have the money, its just to spend it.

I also heard that before you are employed, you must have an interview face-to-face with the boss himself. how true is this?

Well dadgal,

Kissing is REAL FORNICATION. Stay away from it, you're still in your teen age and can't afford to contract sexual diseases that accompanies such acts. You could really get HIV/AIDS and other diseases from such acts.

LIVE RESPONSIBLY.

I have also heard about the CommandClem stuff and many Nigerians are really hoping for it.

All I know is that the deal is true and real and its about a patent sold to Mobil a long time ago which was breached by this organisation for a long time.

It is very risky though and one might not be sure of the assuredness, we're all Nigerians.

My advise for members or potential members is to check the probability of the concerned company i.e. MOBIL check their annual report and account if they ever make any provision for CONTINGENT LIABILITY to that effect.

Hi Joke,

Really fall pity for you O! I think its good as you have made their name public so the world will know. If it were in the developed economies, you can easily sur them. But I suggest you report them to the NLC - Nigeria Labour Congress. Guess the company is all this lebanese firms that treat their staff anyhow.

Good analysis there from Superstar,

He has really done justice to the post by giving an insider information about the topic at hand.

In my own view, as a graduate, the best thing you can do for yourself and the Nigerian economy is to the self-employed.

Just THINK and GROW RICH. Do something unique, something different, something that stands out and the sky is not your limit. Don't ever try to copy what some-else has done. The idea is, find a need and fill that need with a solution and people will beg you with money.

Remember! THE OWNER OF IDEAS RULE THE WORLD!

Jobs/Vacancies / Anyone Ever Thought Of Doing A Digital Cv? by olabello(m): 3:56pm On Jul 03, 2008
Hello Nairlanders,

The World is in the IT age and I keep wondering why graduates can't just sit down and think of putting their CV in CD rather than the normal paper form which is common.
Being uniques is a thing any reasonable employer will always appreciate. No matter what, the employer is impressed and the owner has an upper hand over the regular applicants. Remeber, CHANGE IS CONSTANT & GOOD.

Change the way you do your CV. Do a flash animation CV that can load immediatelly its inserted in the computer and even plays a solo sound for the reviewer. Try it today, I'm sure you'd have a edge!

If you have difficulties doing this, get in touch with me via the site below for tips and help.

Politics / Re: What Can Honest Nigerians Do to Stop 'Nigerian Scams'? by olabello(m): 1:40pm On Jul 02, 2008
The fact about Internet Scams is that the more the rate increases, the more it leads to a blackmail of the image of the country and its people.

So we all must fight against this in our respective capacities and rise up to the task.

These are suggestions of what we can do:
- Advice our family, friends and colleagues who are into scams
- Report the stubborn ones to EFCC
- Launch campaigns online to fight scams (see www.dontgetdupped..com)
- Preach about this in our respective churches and mosques
- And so on

Together we can fight against NIGERIAN INTERNET SCAM

Let's be honest, it will be difficult to return it but JUST PUT YOURSELF IN THE SHOES OF THE OWNER.

He'd be miserable where-ever he is.

So i'd advice you just spend part of the cash paying for radio and TV announcements to find the owner and I'm very sure the owner will NOT fail to compensate you for the efforts.

Car Talk / Top 13 Most Fuel Efficient Cars by olabello(m): 1:37pm On Jul 01, 2008
Those worried about ballooning gas prices can whittle their weight, keep their tires properly inflated and avoid long idles.

Or they can head to a Toyota (nyse: TM - news - people ) dealer and ask about the Yaris.

The $11,350 subcompact is the most fuel efficient in its class, according to the Environmental Protection Agency. It gets 29 mpg in the city and 36 on the highway. Drivers paying $3.51 a gallon can expect to pony up $1,648 a year if driving 15,000 miles.

Other wallet-friendly vehicles include the Honda's (nyse: HMC - news - people ) Civic Hybrid ($1,253 a year), the MINI Cooper ($1,751 a year) and the smart fortwo convertible ($1,555 a year).
In Depth: Top 13 Most Fuel Efficient Cars

Small cars like these have scored big among buyers looking for a way to control rising gas prices; over the last year, the average cost of a gallon has risen more than 60 cents.

Thursday, automakers reported higher sales of small cars. Sales of the Ford Focus, for example, increased 32% last month and made up a third of Ford's passenger car sales.

Overall vehicle sales, however, have plunged. Chrysler reported a 29% drop, General Motors (nyse: GM - news - people ) 23% and Ford 19%. Toyota's sales fell 4.5%, and Honda's and Nissan's (nasdaq: NSANY - news - people ) both dropped 2%.

But small cars aren't the only options available to cost-conscious drivers.

Wallet-Friendly Wheels
Those unable to give up their need for speed might steer toward the Audi TT Coupe. The four-cylinder, two-liter sports car takes only premium gas but will set you back only $2,154 a year, according to the EPA's measures.

Growing families have a couple options. The Volkswagen Passat Wagon gets 21 mpg in the city, and 29 on the highway. That will cost parents $2,333 a year. The Ford Escape Hybrid SUV gets an enviable 34/30 mpg city/highway for a $1,648 yearly outlay.

While hybrids like the Ford Escape are good options for some, experts say an analysis of your actual driving needs is the best way to maximize your fuel economy.

Are you worried about rising gas prices? Weigh in. Add your thoughts in the Reader Comments section below.

"If your commute includes a lot of highway driving, then a car with a manual transmission or diesel engine is much better than a hybrid," says David Champion, director of Consumer Reports Auto Test Division. But "if you commute through heavy traffic, then go with a hybrid."

What's more, not all hybrids and high-mileage vehicles are going to be worth the savings in fuel. A hybrid SUV might save buyers as much as 25% in gas, but those savings are likely to be eclipsed by a massive price difference over comparably priced SUVs. The Ford Escape is a fairly affordable SUV at $19,140, but the hybrid version costs an additional $7,000.

The same principle also applies to traditional cars. Toyota's wildly popular Corolla gets a solid 32 average mpg compared with Chevy's Cobalt, which only gets 25. Over the course of a year, the average fuel savings for a Corolla is $525, but the Cobalt can cost up to $4,000 less for the 2008 model. So unless you plan on keeping the Corolla for eight years, buying on the sole basis of fuel economy doesn't make much sense.

Top Tips
If you're not ready to buy a new car, fuel efficiency can be increased with a few common-sense measures. Weight from the number of passengers or a cluttered trunk is a major consideration, though it tends to be more important in the city. Too often, aerodynamics play a part since drivers leave roof racks on cars lose as much as six mpg as a result.

But according to experts, the most significant impact on fuel efficiency is the way you drive.

"Driver behavior is far and away the biggest impact on fuel efficiency," says Philip Reed, consumer advice editor for automotive Web site Edmunds.com. "Acceleration is the greatest factor wasting energy, gas and polluting. But in most traffic situations accelerating isn't going to get you there any faster."

Romance / Re: The Sexes Are Equal: Not The Same Abilities, But Equal Weight! by olabello(m): 4:06pm On Jun 30, 2008
Gender equality means men and women having the same rights and obligations, and everyone having the same opportunities in society. Gender equality is also about justice and about sharing responsibilities, both in the family and society. If gender prevents us from seeing the individual’s strengths and weaknesses, this can lead to discrimination and limited opportunities for the individual.

The Norwegian Gender Equality Act was passed in 1978. It is intended to ensure that men and women are treated equally. The act is important for both sexes, though it is the position of women that is in particular focus.

Women fought for equality for many years before the Norwegian Gender Equality Act was passed. Women won inheritance rights equal to men’s in 1854, and unmarried women won the right to be considered independent adults in 1864. Married women did not win this right until 1888. This meant they now had control over what was done with their own assets.

The Norwegian Association for Women's Rights was founded in 1884. Its members were both women and men.

Towards the end of the 1800s, women won new opportunities in education and their choice of professions. Women won the right to work as teachers in 1870. Society was changing quickly at this time and there was a big demand for new labour. Many women started to work in telegraph services or telephone switchboards. Both of these were workplaces based on new technology. Many of the new women’s professions required training. The new opportunities were primarily of importance to middle class women.

Working class women had long worked in factories. Around 1/3 of all women of working age were in paid work by the end of the 1800s. Most of them were young and unmarried.
