Don't induce anything madam. That baby should be allowed for another two weeks, except there is a problem before you consider interfering in the natural process. Would you rather a child requiring neonatal intensive care or a healthy bouncing baby? I am sure the latter. So, just be patient. Abeg

Such a humble response.
Nonetheless, he didn't address the main issue being that he inflated the the cost of the jet. That's what the issue was about.
It was not like he was ADVERTISING the sale of the plane. It was leasing that he was advertising and he never mentioned a price for that.
Politics / Re: Joe Ajaero: I Was Brutalised, Detained By DSS – Oshiomhole by olakan22: 11:00am On Nov 16, 2023
This lie you people keep peddling around.
First, they didn't beat up Ajaero because he was in a political meeting.

LP is the political arm of NLC -and was there when Oshiomole was President- there's nothing wrong with that. It happens in other climes.

The government should not be allowed to get away with brutalising people. Moreso, the leader of a major pressure group in the country. Ajaero was not doing his thing, he was representing the NLC. Raising awareness against a government seeking reelection despite many infarctions against workers. What better time to get a government respond than when an election is at the corner.

What would it cost the government to apologise and promise to investigate the incident? A government that leads with impunity is not worth defending. No matter how brilliant the argument

FreeStuffsNG:
This was the days when NLC was not an affiliate of a political party that promotes politics of hate, lies, tribal/religious bigotry and criminal defamation.

Same thing happened to Alhaji Lai Mohammed during the era of HE Goodluck Jonathan yet APC never told its its members to boycott sittings or shut down governance in their states.

Senator Oshiomole can not just lament like the rest of us. He is a law maker and an ex-labour leader, he should submit draft laws to the national Assembly to separate NLC from a political party.

It's anti-democratic when NLC drags in workers government institutions that must remain independent like the judiciary, courts, INEC, university administrators etc just to promote a Labour Party candidate in Imo state elections. It is absolutely wrong and the National Assembly can enact laws to stop Labour Party or any other political party from using the NLC platform for what Mr Ajaero is doing.

We are past feeling bad for people in power. His claim was that it was due to IPPS bureaucracy. They will eventually pay them. Most civil servants use their personal vehicles. What is bad about him using his personal vehicle? After all, he is being paid for his job.
But you see those workers in Imo, they have not been paid for months for no concrete reasons.

The same way the airforce is in charge of the Presidential Jets is the same way the Navy would ordinarily be in charge of a presidential boat or yatch or ship. Moreso, what happened to the budget of the armed forces being classified? Maybe the Navy was in charge of getting the boat, it didn't change the fact that it was meant for use of the Presidency however, noble the reason is...

P.S: The APC government lacks the moral right to claim that journalists are incompetent. They created that monster in build up to 2015. They should live with it

What is wrong in buying a presidential yacht? Fake #RevolutionNow crusader.
You believe only you can save Nigeria and every other person is a thief. We have not forgotten the same people have used you in the past, and for the fact that you have been paid off and abandoned didn't make you any different.

Everything is wrong with buying a Presidentiall yatch. It's not enough that they misrule, we have to fund their luxuries too? What's more, they keep telling us to endure the troubles we are facing but they're not willing to even do away with the fleecing of the treasury
Foreign Affairs / Re: US: Mass Shooting At Lewiston, Maine. 22 Dead, 60 Injured, Shooter Still At Larg by olakan22: 8:40am On Oct 26, 2023
PHAYOL81:
The recurring pattern of these incessant mass shooting would have prompted the US authority to label such TERRORISM should it get majority of the perpetrators belonging to a certain RELIGION they love to hate

TO the topic, may GOD strenghten the deceaseds families with fortitude to bear the sorry loss. May GOD keep us remaining alive SAFE and STRONG

Maybe we should all not be afraid of that conversation.
The rhetoric that a Muslim bearing weapon in the USA like this, does it in hope for martyrdom is a plausible explanation that has not been refuted by hard facts.

It is not enough to say we are a religion of peace.

Countries led by Islamic law sponsor millitant groups to cause several devastation, in principle it shows there is an institutional support for terror

I don't think we can blame the American's descriptives. 911 is not an event you rise from. Their descriptives is their problem. Our own descriptives should be ours.

After all, it is their language and they can do whatever with it.

They will never ever tag this guy a terrorist. They will use words like mass shooter or just shooter like say we no know the dictionary meaning of terrorism. They will avoid the word like a plague because as far as their mind control propaganda machine is concerned only Muslims and Arabs can be terrorists.

They use their narrative to brainwash most people. Check Hollywood movies from the 1920s the bad guys are either Arab or Russian or any Soviet ally. E get why. Like I said before, na America Devil dey stay.

What stops us from giving our own narratives?

He didn't take the penalty

But is this not too emotional for him

A man is not supposed to be involving emotions in his doings

Napoli bleeped up by posting such on Tiktok but that is passed now

Osimhen should act like a man and step forward to always take the penalty instead of holding on to that grudge like an emotional woman on her period
Health / Re: Anesther Egede Dies After Doctors Left Cotton Wool In Her Belly During Surgery by olakan22: 6:26am On Oct 04, 2023
Forgetting surgical materials when a surgery is done in a fairly good center is very rare and is unlikely the case here.

What lawyer is calling cotton wool on MRI is likely an abcess. No qualified radiologist will say he saw cotton wool definitely on MRI.

Because the petition was poorly worded and clearly doesn't have an input of a qualified personnel and perhaps reports of an autopsy, all it needs is a good defence and the doctors are home and dry. All these blood and stool gushing out is for Nollywood.

The summation is that there is more to the case than this report has shown.
The appendix ruptured and the surgeons understandably didn't see it coupled with operative field challenge due to her abundant adipose tissue. The development of the abscess clearly began after discharge from the hospital, something not unusual.

Patient likely died from complications of Septis. A consequence of delay in removing the appendix following advice from the first person who saw, who most likely didn't attend medical school or a class on appendix to say 'appendix was not mature'

Politics / Re: Tinubu Is Playing Die With The North By Nasir Aminu by olakan22: 12:49pm On Aug 09, 2023
Not a fan of Tinubu but this is not an objective argument.
Is the North the only region that will be affected if Nigeria goes to war?
In all our past wars, what has the North lost? Yes, I dare ask.

It's almost impossible to attempt to get past this ethnic narrative that keeps us grounded.

Tinubu didn't ask for war. It was the military that decided to do a coup. As the President of the largest democracy in Africa and the leader of the region's bloc, what was he supposed to do? Perhaps not start making threats he couldn't see through but he had to do something.

We should query how he arrived at that conclusion. We should examine the non existence of diplomacy in African governance. We should talk about the strength of democracy in Africa especially as Sierra Leone is restless; Mali and Burkinafaso have military governments; even Nigeria is not immune from the outcome of the PET.

These are what we should examine when we want to engage in substantial dialogues not beating the drums of war along ethnic lines.
