Career / Re: Are Nigerian 'Graduates' Really Graduates? by olaotan(m): 10:26pm On Oct 03, 2005
give me a break! Wole Soyinka,Gani Fawehinmi,Chinua Achebe to list but few are all graduates of notable university in Nigeria whom have carved niches for themselves at home and at abroad. However some Nigerians had passed through the same system and can hadly define the course they presumably studied for 4 academic sessions and that includes me.it's partly a personal phenomenom and partly the educational system's fault. A case where a student's curriculum is filled with courses not concerned with his course of study.imagine me an accounting student taking geography and regional planning as a compulsory course and me on the students level attending one club party to the other throughout a semester because i want to be pupolar on campus.so you see its every body's fault. we need not point fingers but find solutions. so fellow Nigerian's what is the way out.
ps; dont mind my grammar its part of what we are debating on. mind you i am proud to be a Nigerian breed graduate

Jokes Etc / Re: Jokes about Religion by olaotan(m): 4:04pm On Aug 10, 2005
The preacher stood before the congregation. ''Brothers and Sisters, I
understand that there have been some he'n and she'n going on. I will not
tolerate fornication in my church. All of those who are guilty, leave my
presence.'' So some men and women exited the church. ''Brothers and Sisters, I
also understand that there have been some he'n and he'n goin' on. Those who are
guilty, leave my presence.'' So some embarrased men exited the church.
''Brothers and Sisters, I also understand that there have been some she'n and
she'n going on. Those who are guilty, leave my presence.'' So some women got up
and exited the church. The preacher looked around and the only one left in the
church was a little boy sittin' in the front pew. The
preacher walked up to the boy.
''I would like to commend you for being such an upright, loyal Christian.''
''Hold up now preacher. If you had gotten down to some me'n
and some me'n, I'd have to get up and leave too!''

international confrence in london.after much talk and debate

the host been the Queen decided to host the delegates in Buckinham palace, there was

eough to eat and drink.the cutleries were all made of pure 18carat british gold.

immediately my nna bro noticed this he started calcuting its worth in naira and before u say

Zik 1 set has disappeared into his pockets,Awo was still planning his move but however noticed zik hide a  1 set
Mallam Tafa was busy chewing Kolanut, Awo stood up and hit his knife on the wine glass to

attract the other delegates attention, gaining thier attention he made this speech

Awo; hnm ,on behalf of Federal Republic of Nigeria i want to use this medium to thank the

British government for hospitality and most expecially this delicious meal, to show my

appreciation i would want to call on my bro from nigeria wit whom i would breifly show u all

present a little black magic,he beckons to Zik, and Zik ignorant of Awo's plan stepped outside

unto the podium, Awo continues, after chanting some

abrakadabra he annouced that he was going to hide a set of cuttleries in his own agbada and

then retrieve it from Zik's pocket.instantly he dropped a set into his  own pocket and
removed the 1 Zik had earlier hidden,

he recieved a standing ovation including the aboki eating GORO.

Education / Re: Secondary School Students Writing Exams for UNILAG Undergraduates! by olaotan(m): 9:09pm On Aug 08, 2005
Why won't secondary school students have to write exams for them, when they seem to understand only parties and clubs? Despite all their all thier [arrogant behaviour] they can't even pay better mercenaries? I bow!

Education / Re: Roots of (Violent) Cultism in Nigerian Schools by olaotan(m): 8:41pm On Aug 08, 2005
Hmm, it's a free world and I believe anybody has a right a to express his or her selves but still we need not just open our mouth and [speak nonsense].

I totally want to disagree with Owolabi about Buccaneers being the perpetrators of the nefarious activities on our campuses.

I schooled in Lagos and though I won't point accusing fingers but I will say Buccaneers are far more organised than any other fraternities. I also strongly believe that Buccaneers are far more peaceful and matured in thier ways.

I lost a babe because I wasn't a Buccaneer in LASU. They are all about clubbing, parties and all the good things of life but most importantly they hold their academics as their primary aim. Peace.
