I mean my uncle in Germany may not see
somebody to send with the invitation letter, and
let me suggest this u know out of the documents
sent to me, my passport number just reflect on
two which is the application letter and the
invitation letter, u know appointment letter is
different from application letter, what about if I
re registered for a new application letter that will
contain my new passport number and I tell them
at d embassy that when coming next week dat I
will come along with a new invitation latter. Is
dat possible?. Pls suggestion needed.
Your uncle doesn't need anybody to send the letter to you. He should post it through DHL, and DHL will get the letter to you in three days. Well about the other application and appointment stuffs....I have no idea. I only know more of student visa process. The best I can offer is what I already said. Good luck!

Thanks sir, can them allow me to re bring d invitation latter? Is dat possible and I pray it will go like dat, because d old passport got expire, am having d old one and the new one with me there is even two visa on the old one...and another problem is who to send with the invitation letter.
Nobody can tell you of a certainty whether they will allow you to rebring the invitation letter or not. That's why I told you to pray so that you are favoured. Normally you are not allowed to go in if you go late on your interview date, but on my appointment date I was very late, yet I was favoured and was interviewed. So there could be exceptions.
And What do you mean by "who to send with the invitation letter?

Finally the mystery has been revealed! Since I got to Deustschland in September I observed that it looks as if the time was faster than normal. I was practically struggling to keep up, especially in the mornings. I didn't want to say the time was faster so I don't sound naive, so I just kept it to myself. LOL!
But today by 3:00Am the Daylight saving time ended and the clock in Germany was turned backward one hour, marking the end of Summer time and ushering in Winter time, which is the normal time. So we are on the same time with Nigeria now, GMT+1.
Hey Guys in Deutschland check your time, if your clock doesn't reset automatically please reset manually.
Finally I can sleep longer now. cool

My lyf is ruin, I have appointment on Monday which is tomorrow on 26th of October, I have done all d necessary tinz expected by me, and I have gotten all d necessary documents I just just been sent invitation letter and health insurance from my uncle dat stay at Germany earlier dis week. But just now when I was going through my document I find out dat d passport number I utilize in all my travel document is my old passport number such as booking of appointment, my invitation latter on so on...... Am seriously crying right now, please what what is d way forward can I still go for d interview tomorrow?. Or what can I do?.
Well...What happened to the old passport? did it expire? if yes, then you are relatively safe. And the Biodata page of the old one and the new one says the same thing about you apart from number, issue date and probably place of issue. That means you are not hiding anything.
Go with the new passport and of course the old one too, and explain to the VO about how you made the mistake of using the old number probably because you were used to it. Tender the new one, and plead that you be given the chance to bring newer documents reflecting the new passport number within the week or next two weeks as you deem practicable. Then you can ask the person inviting you to make new invitation and then you can sort out other things. But priority should be given to embassy required documents.
On a second thought also, am thinking you may send a mail to the embassy today and politely pre-inform them of the situation, tell them you just discovered the error that moment you sent the mail. So that when you go on Monday it doesn't look as if you preplanned it to use an old number, so they don't suspect you of trying to pull a stunt. Importantly, please pray very well. Employ your faith. There is nothing God cannot do.
If at the end of the day, you were not obliged, I think the worst case would be to reapply for appointment after you have gotten everything straightened out. Of course you must remember that some disappoints are indeed blessings.
Good luck!
Note: Don't ever panic. Crying is not gonna change anything. Pull yourself together and you will pull through. Be strong.

Hello everyone.... please i need all the advise i can possibly get on how to handle what am passing through with my visa application.........

Today makes it exactly 8 weeks since my interview and am yet to get the a.m mail from the embassy... i have been in touch with my alien office *ulm* and the embassy for the past 3 weeks as regards my case and i keep getting same feedback from both parties.... the alien office are insisting that no paper works has been recieved as regards my visa application and as of last week, they have ask deir representative at the Nigeria Embassy to send them a new application and up until now they haven't gotten anything...... i sent a mail to the address that asked me to fund my account and the guy has been insisting that he sent my application to the appropriate alien authority since the 26th of August......that i should ask for an enrollment extension while we wait the response of the alien office *smh* alien office dt is claiming that dey dnt av any application yet as regards my visa, *that means i ll b waiting for eternity be that*.......... well i called the alien office yet again dis morning and the guy was really beginning to get upset with me and said nothing has come in yet... i again wrote the embassy and this the reply i got from them this evening

*Dear Madam

even though we sent the hardcopy, another digital version of your application was sent to the aliens authority. Give them some time to respond, in the meantime you should take all necessary steps in order to extend your enrolment deadline.***

He is still asking that i get an enrollment extension after sending him my enrollment certificate like twice now and is saying we should give the alien authority time to respond, when thesame alien office is saying they dont have any application for my visa........... I pray you all dont get bored with my long write up, what i need now is advise on what to do next that will help me get my visa as lectures has started in my school.... Thanks

Wow! I think you should immediately send a mail to your programme coordinator explain things to him and attach all the correspondence from both the embassy and the alien office. Beg him to intervene beyond deadline extension, by reaching the alien office and if possible the embassy on your behalf. And importantly dont stop praying to God for intervention, I want to believe you have been praying. Good luck sister!

Hello guys,

I just sent an e-mail to the e-mail you guys gave.... and this was their reply:

Dear Sir or Madam,
Thank you for your email. The responsible authority for issuing visa is the German embassy abroad.
According to German privacy law it is unlawful, to sending personal information via unencrypted email.
If you have any question Concerning the visa process please do check out the information provided by the visa section of the Embassy. Local immigration offices are mostly not involved in the process.

I got a similar response when I contacted my alien office for the first time. Now send a passionate mail to the embassy asking for the position of your visa application. They will likely respond that they are still waiting for the alien athotirty in your future place of residence to approve your visa. Then mail the alien authority again telling them that the embassy said they are still waiting for response from them; and copy and paste or attach the mail from the embassy and confirmation of funding from Deutsche bank. Remember to explain to them how soon your school will resume and how long ago you have done your interview and importantly add to your mail that this request should be forwarded to the appropriate authority or person if this happen not to be the right office in charge of this case.

Wow! a very good advice. I saw one at a very good price, but because the size is slightly more than me I didnt buy it. I would rush there on Monday to grab it. I hope it is still there. Guys make una dey visit Aldi stores as advised by Zeeblamj. They've got some discounted items. Check the middle row, that's where they have the discounted articles for the week. This may not apply in every Aldi shop though.

670 oooo. Heeeyyyyyy

Err.. Not buying bicycle now sha.. I think it's suicidal to ride bicycle in the winter

I just got a bike today at an auction market. 85 euros. I think you will need the bike more in winter, because it may be quite inconvenient walking long distances in the cold, it will take you longer time and meaning more exposure to cold. # Just my thought, never seen winter before

Hello house! been a long time I came on here. Internet issues. To the praise of God Almighty I landed in Deutschland three days ago. Great experience so far.One thing about these guys is that they are always willing to help. In addition to several advises that have been offered here; learn to read map, improve your fitness; you may need to walk very long distances, learn how to ride the bicycle; it may be the cheapest and popular means of transportation in your city. For your PTA please you could make use of Fidelity bank. They were fast and cheap. Did mine at N223.96 per Euro, I only had to wait for a few hours, because the guy was busy. Good luck to every one expecting one form of breakthrough or the other. We shall all testify.

To think that the first time I came across this thread, I wasn't just clueless, I was confused too. I didn't even know what IELTS meant (Eke can attest to this)...
From IELTS, to getting transcripts, to Certification, to Applications, to admission, to blocked account opening, to interview, to funding, to mailing( or should I say spamming) the foreigners office and the embassy to this long awaited email, God just used Eke to guide me. The wait wasn't easy and now I understand what people mean when they say "long awaited email" but finally, I got the mail.
Special thanks first to God.Thanks to everyone who made this dream a reality -Eke thank you isn't even enough, Oligee that I met during my interview who helped me with the names of all the German states just minutes to my own turn, Twinkle, my ehusband Obiwann, countless people I sent pm's to who replied with their church mind. You guys are all wonderful.
To those that are waiting, I know the waiting isn't fun -I've was putting on those shoes till this morning smiley Just keep calm, you'll soon testify.
Now na flight things
Congratulations dear sister! Success awaits u in Germany.

I learnt that TOEFL is easier than IELTS because IELTS is more technical than TOEFL. But when it comes to registration of both tests IELTS registration is easier. You can walk up to British Council and register for IELTS. But to register for TOEFL you will have to go though an agent.

The good thing about language proficiency tests it that it gives you a distinctive advantage over those without.
No sir! U don't need any agent to register for TOEFL, u only need internet connection and Visa ATM card. That's all you need.
And talking frm personal experience, my opinion of British Council hasn't been a very good one. I hav been dealing wit them for a while, there are some things I don't like about some of their staff at Ikoyi. So when it was time for me to register for test of english, it was easier for me to choose TOEFL over IELTS cos I want to avoid their wahala as much as possible.
Talking about level of difficulty; people hav always said IELTS is easier, well, I don't know. Neither do I consider TOEFL difficult. With little resources and practice time I scored ***. Even wit d challenges I faced at d venue. Anyway I knw it was God's doing. So bottomline; get adequate information concerning ur preferred test, read up, practice and go do it.

As una dey arrive in drips and trickles, I want to drop an advice which was given here this time last year.

Carry food as much as you can. All those small small 3euro 4euro meals you will be tempted to eat in your fist few days can fit wreck your pocket. As soon as possible start cooking for yourselves. 3euros X 3meals X 5days = you know the maths.

That's all.
Lol! I laf! All those guys and babes wey dey form for school, wey no fit cook, wey dey patronize forks and fingers from semester to semester, dem go hear am big time. Abeg additional advice; no just carry foodstuffs learn how to cook too.
