Business / What Do You Have To Do In Life? by Olly417: 5:07pm On Sep 21, 2023
I asked a young folk few days ago...

He answered me promptly "Alot o".

The "o" carries much weight and I had to laugh when he told me .

If you're being asked the same question, what will your response be?

Maybe little or a lot....

Most individuals like you will definitely choose "alot"

That's how we're being taught by the educational system and the society.

The same applies in work and business settings.

You think you have to be everything which is totally not true.

Most individuals don't have a clear purpose of why they started their business.

What they rely on is the external factors..

Which is not quite bad at all.

But how do you know you are fulfilled?

Let's say by crushing sales challenge...

Or selling more of your products...

All these are good but just a metrics.

In the pursue of what we are doing.

We forgot why we started in the first place.

Then we judge our progress by what the society want...

The title we got...

Among other things.

You think you have a lot to do in life but not as you thought it is.

Ever wonder why you are always stressed?

Understand this.

You don't have alot to do in life...

Instead πŸ‘‰ "You have a lot to learn in life."

When you have a direction of where you are going, everything will start falling in place.

And this cannot happen when you choose not to learn.

When you start getting stressed, take a critical look at where you are in business.

What are those areas you have zero knowledge about....

If it's possible for you to learn, kindly do so.

If you think you should outsource them.

It will save you alot of time, effort and mental stress.

Remember, you don't have alot to do in life.

You don't need a specific reason to save.

πŸ“Œ Debt

It's another great skill in knowing how to manage and grow money.

This is one of the most important skill you must have. It's not how much you make but how you manage it and grow it.

Many people lack the necessary financial knowledge and skills to effectively manage and grow their wealth.

πŸ“Œ Risk Aversion

Life is all about risk. There is nothing you can achieve if you're scared of taking risk.

Going out and coming back home in the evening takes risk.

To become financially free, you have to take calculated risks required for entrepreneurial ventures or investment opportunities.

πŸ“ŒComfort Zone

Comfortability kill dreams.

If everything is going well, you must become uncomfortable with it.

Staying within a comfort zone and not pursuing opportunities for growth and advancement can limit income potential.

πŸ“ŒLack of Persistence

The fact that you want to become financially free comes with a lot of sacrifices.

Most individuals will give up when they encounter temporary defeat.

Becoming financially free often requires long-term commitment, dedication, persistence, and patience which not everyone possesses.

Business / How You Were Taught In School. by Olly417: 1:03pm On Sep 13, 2023
Whenever I sat down, thinking about the educational systems and how it has influence how we handle our activities, most especially the business aspect....

The reality dawn on me that most of what we're being taught in school doesn't apply to life situations.

A lecturer with doctorate degree is teaching entrepreneurship without no business of his own.

It never seize to amaze me. This is the downfall of many businesses.

The reason why business fail is because most business owners treat themselves as a business practioners not as a business builders.

That's how the educational systems teach us.

We don't learn marketing, sales, negotiations, communications, relationship building, budgeting.

All these are skills needed to build a business.

This is the reason why most most business owners fail because they're practicing instead of building.

If you want to build a business, you have to learn the basics, the fundamentals not the theoretical aspect .

Forget about the money when you are just starting out and develop yourself building skills.

Everything can be taken away from you but your knowledge will never be take away from you.

All these are learnable with patience and time.

Business / If You Don't Want To Be Average, Build These 7 Habits! by Olly417: 6:42pm On Sep 11, 2023
You think little of yourself, that is why everything you are aiming to achieve are little.

Understand this πŸ‘‡

Your creator didn't made you in his image to live an average life. Unless that's what you choose....

No issues with that.

But if you choose something more than being average...

These 7 habit will get you ahead of 90% of people.

1) Get into deep work.

Your focus is a currency.

How you spend it is your biggest investment.

πŸ“Œ Block off a few hours.

πŸ“Œ Focus on 1 thing.

πŸ“Œ Remove distractions

This will get you ahead of 90% of people.

2) Optimize your time.

Your time is your most powerful asset.

Create systems to save it:

πŸ“Œ Task delegation

πŸ“Œ Email automation

πŸ“Œ Logic based frameworks.

There are so many tools that can assist you.

Zapier, buffer, Whatsapp autoresponder etc.

3) Look at things diagnostically.

Instead of focusing on the negative, ask yourself:

πŸ“Œ What am I in control of?

πŸ“Œ What can I do better?

πŸ“Œ How can I improve things?

A problem-solving mindset will help you move past roadblocks much faster.

4) Be resourceful.

Ignorance is a choice in the Internet age.

Need an answer? Google it.

Got a question? Send a DM.

Don't know how to do something?

Make YouTube your friend.

The solutions to your problems are at your fingertips.

5) Create a high value network.

Evolution designed humans to get along with each other for survival.

Which means you'll adopt the traits, habits, and mindsets of those around you.

Reduce time with people who hold you back.

Increase time with those who can pull you forward.

6. Take care of yourself.

Hustle culture told us the path to success involved all work and no rest.

But that's the path to burnout, mediocrity, and regret.

πŸ“Œ Take care of your body with exercise.

πŸ“Œ Take care of your mind with sleep.

πŸ“Œ Take care of your spirit with meditation.

7) Read quality books.

Books have a high ROI.

You get decades of knowledge condensed in a few hours of reading.

The time, money, and mistakes you save yourself are well worth the investment.

Make it a daily habit and you'll get yearly returns.

Remember, healthy habits lead to healthy lifestyle.

Business / The Magic Of A Statement And Questions.... by Olly417: 11:06am On Sep 08, 2023
What differentiate you from animals??

Obviously you know it's your mind and level of awareness.

As an intelligent being that you are...

You think through of what you say before saying it.

But you never thought of the consequences after you said it.

You don't pay great attention to how these words affect your life positively and negatively.

Why is that so??

Understand this πŸ‘‡

People go through confusions all through their lives because they are not aware of the effects statement and questions are having in their lives.

It's common for you to say things like...

"I don't have money."

"I can't afford it."

"I don't have time."

"I can't do that."

What you don't know is that all these are statement that have a psychological effects on you when you say it.

The result of this effects "shuts the mind off."

If on the other mind you learn how to say things like...

How can I afford it?

How can I do that?

What can I do to get that?

These are questions that opens the mind.

When you say you can't afford it...

Your mind shut down and you become what you say.

When you say how can I afford it...

Your mind opens, and you start thinking of ways to get solutions.

One of the greatest thing you can do in life is....

Shifting your mindset from statement to questions.

When you start deploying this...

You will realize, there will be thousand of ways for you to achieve what you want.

Remember, "A question opens the mind while a statement closes the mind."

Business / Which Business System Are You Choosing? by Olly417: 5:33pm On Sep 07, 2023
As you do business (or plan to)

NOTE THIS πŸ‘‡

How much money you make will ultimately be determined by the business system you involve yourself in/with.

NOT your effort, or determination or hard work.

The reason why most people are not getting an headstart in their chosen business is just because of making a simple mistake by choosing the industry that is slow to wealth.

All businesses are profitable, some are just more scalable than the other.

When starting a business, choose an industry that's scalable and can stand the test of time.

The financial vehicle you choose to making money will determine how far you can go.

Learn life. Don't just start a business because you want to quit your job.

Business / What Is Your Role As A Man? by Olly417: 8:56am On Sep 07, 2023
Hold on.....

Before you judge me, this post is not only for men.

It was the last bucket I was fetching this morning....

When I I heard a heavy drop inside the well.

The fetcher fell inside the well....

Obviously the rope must have been weak.

I took the ones that have already fetched and I went to take my bath.

On my mind, I was telling myself...

"Nobody saw me while I was fetching water."

So nobody is going to hold me accountable why the fetcher fell inside the well.

While I was having my bath, I asked myself.....

What is your role as a man?

Normally I could have waited for my neighbors to wake up....

Then together we would ponder on how to get the fetcher out of the well.

I asked myself....

What will you do if you're the only one staying in the compound...

Won't you find a way??

There is a woman close to my house that has a tool I can use to get the fetcher out.

But I was contemplating....

What if this woman said no?

Another voice said to me, try first.

It's better to try and get a no...

Than not making an attempt.

Luckily the woman gave me the tool.

But there is another problem....

There was no rope to attach to the tool to get the fetcher out.

I was thinking of where I could get a rope...

Then I remembered my female friends, about 2 houses away from mine, have a well.

So certainly they must have a fetcher, I assumed.

Finally I got the fetcher out from the well...

With the tool I got from the woman next to my house and the rope I borrowed from my friends.

After everything, I asked myself again....

What is the role of a man?

Then answers started coming to me that...

πŸ“Œ The role of a man is to take responsibility.....

πŸ“Œ To be accountable for whatever he does...

πŸ“Œ To stop making excuses why something is not going to work.

πŸ“Œ To find ways and possibilities of making things work.

πŸ“Œ A man doesn't complain, cry and blame people.

Whether you are a man or woman reading this....

It's likely there will be events you can't control.

But in the end, you must not blame anybody or anything.

You must take responsibilities and hold yourself accountable.

I hope you learn something.

See you at the top 🫡

Making money in a legit way in Nigeria is now easy because all it requires is just your phone, internet, a burning desire, consistency and putting your head into it. As much as the traditional way of making money cannot be erased, you can make passive income for yourself outside your 9-5 work.

Here's 4 Business Models you can choose from to make money online in Nigeria

Freelancing βœ…
Working as a freelancer is one way to make passive income for yourself. Whereby you render your services to people, and earn in dollars. If you have a skill in web design or graphics design, you can earn additional income for yourself by offering your skill to people that need them.
It's a win-win situation

Affiliate marketing βœ…
Affiliate marketing is recommending products to people that need them, while getting paid when people buys from your unique affiliate link. It has simple as that.
Affiliate Marketing has been around for years and it's still one of the surest ways to make money online.

How can you become an affiliate marketer?
Sign up on a platform that has affiliate program, pick a hot product that people needs, find your targeted audience and place the product in front of them, boom you start making money.

E-commerce βœ…
This is also another business model of making money online. E-commerce has been around for a long time also, whereby you promote product that people needs. You're not the owner of these products, your job is to make sure people that need the product sees it and you get paid.

Youtubing
Being a YouTuber is also one a surest way of making money online. All you have to do is find a niche that you can talk about, create a YouTube channel, post a content everyday or twice in a week. The money likes you can get, the more money you can make.

All these business models I mentioned above can be linked to another if used in a right way. But the best thing is to choose one, master it and when you've become a master at one, you can start another one.

Final thought: Starting an online business is great because you can set schedule for yourself without seeking direction from your Boss, but at the same time....

You must always remember that, the goal is to solve people's problems. Give value, listen to your customers, show them that you care.
Don't let everything be about money.
Where value goes, Money follows.

I'm open to questions, ideas, insight and suggestions.
