Business / 3 Methods Of Increasing Sale In 2017 - Www.tetpreneur.com by Olubendeji: 5:08am On Jan 20, 2017
Last year has gone for good. This is a new year. What is your plan towards your business? Irrespective of your area of business, what works last year is not sufficient to make success this year.
This year, there is no time for trial and error. I have carefully come up with this 3 aspect of your business you can improve to better maximise opportunities found in this year.

Administrative

Do you have an employee(s) or you are self-employed? Whatever the case. There are some decisions you made last year that slows the growth of your business. What challenge(s) do you face that you could not overcome? Is your employee lacking in certain skill? If any, solve it out.

Conquer your fear. Learn to maximise your time. Your highest investment is your TIME. Be more creative. Set SMART goals/targets for yourself. It is necessary you define how much you want to make for the year. Then, break it down to month then day.

This should not repeat itself this year. Work on yourself, work on your employee. Grow your employee and they will grow your business.

Check the causes of the decline last year and make sure you prevent them this year

Marketing

Are you satisfy with your sale last year? No, I guess. You can do better than that. Check out your mission statement; What products.services do you have to offer? Who are those in need of it? How much do they have to pay? Was your price too high or low? These are questions you need to review.

Your biggest sale last year should be your least sale this year. Look out for new ways you can improve customer relationship.

I advise you learn from those who have gone ahead of you in your industry.

Online Presence

If you had about 1000 likes last year on your facebook business page. This year, you should be aiming towards 10000 likes. Begin to work towards having your website and app. Contact Me to Get Your Professional Website Today

Increase your online presence. Take full advantage of the internet.

Do these three things and your business will drastically improve this year. I wish you a blessed and prosperous year.

Your comments are welcome.

Thank you.

Career / Public Speaking: Express Yourself With Authority In Business - Tetpreneur by Olubendeji: 9:36am On Dec 27, 2016
Tips on How to Speak Effectively in Public

As an entrepreneur, you will definitely need to communicate with others either one to one, a small group or a large group. You will have products or services to sell.

Now, how do you convince your client? How do you communicate your idea to concerned persons? Communication is the key.

I could still remember when my greatest fear of life is standing and speaking before an audience. But, I found joy in doing that.

Shortly, I will be sharing with you seven (7) tips I have learned so far in Public Speaking.

1. Whether you are selling a product or partnering with concerned persons. Your audience will believe you. They will think about what you say. And, they will accept you.... In the event that THEY CAN SEE YOUR EYES LOOKING DIRECTLY AT THEM. This is called eye contact.

2. Speak loudly enough to be heard clearly. Banish space fillers such as "you know", "That is", "hmm", etc.

3. You should never lean back in your chair when speaking to an elderly person or someone superior to you. On the other hand, someone with less status will feel better if you do sit back and relax a bit.

4. Researchers observed that you cross your leg toward somebody you like and far from somebody you dislike when you sit in a circle or in a row with others. Look at this observation when next you cross your leg.

5. Dress for the occasion. Don't overdress. Dress to suit your physique.

6. Gestures do not always add to your meaning. So, be careful when you use them. If you have your hand in the air all the time, people will regard you as too emotional.

7. If you want to appear casual. it's acceptable to have one hand in a pocket, but both hands in the pocket will make you look less confidence.

I strongly recommend a book titled "How to Speak in Public" by Eugene Ehrlich and Gene R. Hawes.
Every information you find in this book is practical. Invest in yourself.

There are more to public speaking. In this way, impart to me your experiences and knowledge of public speaking. Help me develop more.

Business / Business Name Search: How To Get A Unique Business Name To Register With Cac by Olubendeji: 3:04pm On Dec 18, 2016
A good business name can be compared to having a good house foundation. It is important but should not be a barrier to kicking off your business.

Overtime, I have seen name of different categories : the good, the bad, and the ugly. After solid intensive research and experience, I will be sharing with you how and what it takes to have a unique business name.

What is a unique business name?

A unique business name has two qualities:

It attracts the peoples attention.

It has never be made known to the public.

With no doubts, your company will stand out and will be at a higher advantage over others. When you saying like 'The way you dress is the way you are address'. In this case, your company's name represents the dress.

How can you get this unique business name?
1. Define the purpose of your business:

Write down the vision and mission of your company. What problem you are out there to provide? What products/services do you want to offer? Write all this down.

2.Know and operate in your Niche (Area of specialisation):

This is really important. Why? This is neccessary to avoid your company missing in the crowd because there is much competition out there. I run a Web and Graphics design company.

Guess what, my company's name is DESIGNAY. This makes it easy for new clients to identify
the purpose of my company.

3.Filter the names you have with you now:

I know that by now, some names would have been going through your head. Please, write them
down and begin to eliminate them.

4.Check Domain and CAC Availability.

With the current internet rise, your company must walk the path if you want to make success. Domain simply means, the name you use in registering your website.

So also with CAC. CAC is an acronym of Corporate Affairs Commission- a legal entity in charge of all company's registration in Nigeria. Check if the name you desire to use is
available.

Don't get confused. Sooner I will be releasing a post that explain more of No. 4 on this list.

Thanks for your reading.

Let me have your contribution or question.
Please do well to share this post.
Thank you.

Career / Vision: A Yard Stick To Success by Olubendeji: 12:26pm On Dec 13, 2016

VISION: A YARD STICK TO SUCCESS

Have you ever wonder what keep great men going even when the days were evil? I tell you it is vision.

A man with no vision is a man with no future says A.E Oluboba.

Then, what is vision?

Vision is the source and hope of life. Sight is the function of the eyes; vision is a function of the heart. No matter how talented and gifted a man is, if there is no vision, he is doomed. Vision cut across all spheres of life especially to the business sector.

According to Wikipedia

“In business, vision is foresight – the capacity to foresee the future market trends and plan accordingly.”

Are you growing a business and it seems it is stagnant. Change your marketing strategy and keep the vision alive.

Oh! You think you have vision, then why do you let go of the business opportunity you once had.

The only way to show that you have a sense of vision is when you begin to see solutions where others complain or can see only problem.

Vision is not daydreaming.

Lastly, put your vision to writing on a paper and not just on your mind or on electronic devices. Even the Bible confirmed this in revelation 2:2

Vision is the revelation of the future. Your future is not ahead of you. It is within you.

Do you have a VISION? Do well to have one today.

I appreciate your comments.

5 TYPES OF STUDENT ENTREPRENEURS

Surely, there is an increment in the number of student entrepreneurs on campus. All has its own uniqueness. You should check where you belong.

1. Spendless Entrepreneurs
I called these ones spendless entrepreneurs due to their behaviour. These set of entrepreneurs hardly spend. They kept on borrowing equipment even to stapler. They have forgotten that you have to spend to earn. No doubt, these guys end up sending their customers away.

2. Stand-alone entrepreneurs
They really truly stand alone. Do you remember those guys that met at your entrance promising to help you but only to see yourself buying their product? These guys are really good in marketing.

They can sell both the product and themselves to you leaving you no choice than to purchase.

3. Knowledgeable Entrepreneurs
Though these sets of persons are not worthy to be called entrepreneurs but let just have them on the list.

These guys know too much about the ethics and principles of business but will never take the bold step to start and apply what they know. They are only entrepreneurs by mouth.

4. Visionary Entrepreneurs
They are almost like knowledgeable entrepreneurs. You hear them saying “I will start when I am done with school”. Some end up regretting why they waited till their final year before starting.

5. Real Entrepreneurs
Truly, they are the real business man/woman. They are tagged real because of their commitment towards their business. They spend wisely with the sole aim of enlarging their coast.

Their packaging or services leaves you choice than to come back. Most of them do have offices.

Congratulations for taking the bold step in becoming a boss. Irrespective of the category you are, just improve in your method of business.

If you have not started, I encourage you to start soon. More business ideas will be posted here.
Awaiting your comments

3 QUALITIES OF GREAT ENTREPRENEURS

On different occasions, I have asked the question “What makes great entrepreneurs?”. Different answers have I received.

After much thinking and study, I came to a conclusion which you will be reading below.

But before we discuss about their qualities, let see the result of those who possesses these qualities:
Below is the Produce/Result of great men
· Good Relationship with God

Great men believe in God. Whatever they do has one thing in common: it gives glory to God. They have personal relationship with him.

· Care For their Family

For every great man I know; there family comes second. Behind every great man, there is a great woman rolling her eyes says John Carey. They are indeed a father, a leader and a role model to their family.

· Career

After family comes career. Great men are leaders and the same time servants at the place of work.

They are indeed rich as money is a by-product to their qualities.

Qualities:

· Thinkers:

Science believes that a person is said to be intelligent when his IQ is above 130. I believe great men (thinkers) will be greater than that. They think. No wonder they are always awake at night.

As research would have it;

80% don’t think, 15% think that they think, and only 10% think.

No wonder the numbers of great men are 1 in every 100 persons.

They think of how problems can be solved at the shortest time possible.

Friend, what has dominated your mind that you could no longer think? The world has too many problems. So, problem solvers (thinkers) are in high demand. Be one today

· Time Conscious

You cannot take this out of them. It is already in their blood stream. Every minute counts. They want to achieve more so they make good use of every opportunity.

I have some youth saying “Let me do this so as to kill time”. I tell you you can't kill time but kill yourself. Make good use of your time.

· Discipline

The two points above depends on these. You cannot be a solution thinker and also time conscious if yu are not discipline.

Please know that being disciplined is not a birthright but that which is learned. So you can be disciplined. Be disciplined today.

With all you have read, I want to be believe you will walk in this light.

Be a blessing to others by sharing this post.

Awaiting your comments.

Thank you

THE RICHEST MAN IN BABYLON

Richest man in babylon

Good day friends.

Today, I will be reviewing a book titled 'THE RICHEST MAN IN BABYLON '.

I actually saw a recommendation of this book online. Immediately I went in search of it and end up downloading it.

Words cannot express the joy in my heart in reading this book. A quote from the book, I could remember vividly is

“The same sun that shines at your forefathers years ago is still the same that shines at you today”.

This means that the same principles used to acquire wealth those days still works today if used properly.

This book teaches about tested and trusted principles of wealth using the ancient Babylon as case study.

Some are;

· Pay yourself first before paying others I.e. at least 10% should be save-save to invest.

· Make your money work for you.

· Always and only get advice from those who are experienced in the field. And many others.

Take your time to read this book.

Business / Revealed: The Secret (principles) Of Nigeria Richest Entrepreneur–aliko Dangote by Olubendeji: 1:33pm On Nov 26, 2016
REVEALED: THE SECRET (PRINCIPLES) OF NIGERIA RICHEST ENTREPRENEUR – ALIKO DANGOTE

Without doubt, Aliko Dangote is an icon in our continent. He is a mentor and a role model to entrepreneurs here in Nigeria and beyond. His rapid growth in business still leaves people short of words.

For every great man, there is a secret. This secret may be something you know but never took serious or something you have no idea about.

Before I actually REVEALED this secret, I will like you to have brief insights as to his early life, educational status and business career.

Early life:

Aliko Dangote was given birth to into a wealthy Muslim family on 10 April 1957 – currently age 59 as at 2016. He hails from Kano. History has it that he is someone passionate of business right from childhood. This was confirmed from his statement. “I can remember when I was in primary school, I would go and buy cartons of sweets and I would start selling them just to make money. I was so interested in business even at that time”.

Hmm, I can hear you say “Why wouldn’t he succeed since he is from a rich family”. You are correct. But, it is not an excuse to remain poor. Don’t forget; he never had the kind of information you have today; the numerous opportunities you have today, he has little or no access and many more. Keep on reading, you are a closer to knowing the secret.

Educational Status

He is a graduate of Business Studies (Bachelor of Arts) at Al-Azhar University in Cairo Egypt. So, stop saying you want to drop out of school because Bill Gates dropped out.

Business Career

As someone who has proven himself faithful, Aliko Dangote was given a small capital with an additional ₦500, 000 loan by his Grandfather Alhaji Sanusi Dantata. The agreement was to pay back the money in 3-4 years as of the time of collection hoping he (Aliko Dangote) will have been stabled and settled.

It was a thing of shock when Dangote paid back the money in six-months’ time. All this happen between 1977 and 1978. He actually started business in 1977 and received the loan in 1978.

Then, I began to think, why didn’t Dangote spent the money on girls then? Why didn’t he spend the money to gratify his youthful pleasure? Or better still; he should have gotten a latest car then since a Mercedes Benz was sold for ₦5, 000 then.

The answer to this questions was that he remained FOCUSED. Do you want to know the secret? Yes, I guess. Then, let’s keep going. Today, the same man is the Chairman & CEO of DANGOTE GROUP. His company has so enlarged that his commodity must be seen in every 3 out of 5 homes in Nigeria. He remains the largest producer of cement and largest supplier of sugar in Africa. The biggest refinery in Africa stands at his name i.e. he owns it. His current net worth as at November 2016 is $11.9 Billion.

Now this is the secret.

My friend, the secret is that there is no secret. One thing was needed of him and that was seen in him – DISCIPLINE.

Are you discipline enough? How many times have you break the same rule you set down for yourself by yourself? I know that you are trying but more is needed from you.

I see many Nigerian youths living their future today. So, when they get to the future, they have will nothing to live but regrets. I pray you shall not be victim of poverty in Jesus Name.

Believe in God, be disciplined and make good use of your time today for the days are evil.

Don't be wicked o. Share on social media. Awaiting your comment. Thanks.

Business / 3 Proven Ways To Have A Good Business Idea-tetpreneur by Olubendeji: 12:32pm On Nov 25, 2016
Today we shall be discussing about what a good business idea is, what it takes to have it and how to have it. Briefly, I will like you to know that there are four categories of persons in the school of ideas. They are;

1. Those who have passion but lack ideas,

2. Those who have both passion and ideas,

3. Those who have idea but lack passion,

4. Those who lack both passion and ideas.

In the course of these teaching we shall be focusing on persons in the first category. If I may ask;

What is a good business idea?

A good business idea is an idea that fulfils a specific need. Yes, it fulfils a specific need. An idea can be great, awesome but irrelevant maybe due to many factors e.g. location, audience, lack specificity, etc.

Requirements to having a good business idea
State of the mind

As a man thinks in his heart, so he is. You will agree with me that a good tree produces good fruit so also with ideas. How do you expect to have an outstanding idea when you are at an angry mood? No, it is not done that way. Be of good cheer when you are about to brainstorm ideas and even always. I strongly recommend that you storm ideas in a serene (quiet) environment preferably at night as it enhances your level of thinking. Engage your mind and see it producing results.

Level of information

Have you ever seen anybody living above what he/she knows? Everyman lives within the domain of his knowledge. It is no doubt that what separates the poor and the rich is the amount of information in their bosom. One who is informed can never be deformed. Idea itself is born out of the abundant of information you have. The quality of knowledge you possess is directly proportional to the quality of your idea. Invest in knowledge, read books on finance education, books on the field of business you desire and the sky is your beginning.

How can I have this good business idea?
Desire it.

This is the first step to having a good business idea. “To desire is to acquire” says A.E. Oluboba. This means there is higher possibility of getting what you want if you truly desire it and take necessary action. Before you start the journey (meditation) to the great ideas land, develop a burning passion towards having it. I have seen people disregarding this aspect but the truth is it works. Check out this scenario, Will a man who goes to the slot to get a laptop settle down for a Phone? No, he will not even if it is cheap because that is not what brought him (desire) to the place of sales.

Think of Solutions

After desire comes the thought of solutions. Research made it known that of the human population; 80% don’t think, 15% think that they think; only 5% think. I will like to let you know that the world is looking for problem solver; they are scarce. Ask yourself, where do you belong? Think towards being a problem solver. Think of how your products/services can meet specific needs. Please know this, you don’t have to kill yourself in getting an idea that you think has never been known before. Research has it that all that is needed to be created has been invented. All you have to do is to look for ways of making things easier, faster, and better (rebranding) for human use.

Review your abilities and talents and hobbies

A man’s gift (abilities, talents and hobbies) makes way for him. Make a list of your abilities, talents and hobbies and see how they can be profitable to you. Do you like teaching; start tutorial classes on that you know best. As a student, do you know how to sell? Gather your past questions, make photocopies and sell to students who are in need. Take advantage of your gifts.

Take Actions

Knowledge (idea) without wisdom (action) is nothing. Go into research about this idea of yours. Know of the capital involved, time needed and many more. Be knowledgeable of the merit and demerit so as to know how the game is been played. Ask questions without necessary disclosing your idea. Then, kick off the business and see yourself making profit all things been equal. Implement your idea today.

With all that you have read, I believe that you will put them to practice.

Kindly leave in the comment’s box below - contributions, questions or complaints. Thank you.

Business / 7 Reasons Why You Should Start A Business While In School-tetpreneur.com by Olubendeji: 3:37pm On Nov 22, 2016
As the trend “Go to school, get a good grade and get a good (white collar) job” applies in the agricultural and industrial revolution, it does not in this information age.

The population increase of all nations (esp. Nigeria) is at an alarming rate and this has reduced the degree of impact of the government to its citizen. This calls for why you should start a business while still in school. Below are reasons why you should kick off your business.

1. Environment

The college has a high level of creativity ranging from students to lecturers. Launching a business in this area is the best as it is easily announced due to its population. You have a higher chance of getting your product/services across to the end user. The university environment also provides a mentor – men-tee relationship. So, you have persons around you to seek advice in situations as the saying goes “Successful men lies on the shoulder of those who have gone ahead of them”.

2. Time

I have heard student complaining that they don’t have time to do this or that. But the truth is you have the all the needed time to start up your business and still not jeopardize your academic excellence. Cut out the time spent on movies, gossiping, visiting friends, etc., these neither increase you financially nor increase your grade. I had friends who kept on procrastinating saying they will start as soon as they graduate but found themselves not being able to fulfil their wish. The right time to start is now.

3. Opportunities

If there is anything that makes college interesting, it is the numerous number of opportunities presented to us at a platter of gold. I can remember attending intensive AUTO CAD training at a fee of N1000 including feeding (twice a day) for one week and so many others. Truly, the best and easiest place to becoming great starts in school not because of the gigantic buildings or architectural design but of the great opportunities that lies in there. There are a lot of entrepreneurship seminars & workshops that takes place in your college every session that you can attend for free. Also, there are persons (student or staff) who may decide to invest in your business or give you loan without collateral. Take advantage of this opportunity to avoid being a victim of the saying “Opportunity lost can never be regain”. Start a business today.

4. Potential Profit

This reason cannot be left out as it is the utmost desire of all entrepreneurs. I am sure you want an extra source of income, you want to have enough to spend, and you want to be independent (i.e. taking responsibility), then start a business. The high population in schools also increases your chance of higher profit.

5. Low Risk/Capital involved

I started my first business with as little as N200 and with time I began to transact in thousand. There are businesses you can do on campus that has little or no risk involved. Some business does not require your money but your diligence. Respect the days of little beginnings, never be afraid to start small.

6. Growth in relationship:

Being an entrepreneur gets you to meet many important persons either at seminars, conferences, workshops or day to day transactions. This builds your contact and connections. This age (information age) solely depends on how well you are informed. And you know relationship determines information. Nobody tells you vital information they have if they have nothing in common with you. Therefore, start your business, build relationship and see yourself at the top.

7. Fun

Lastly, running a business is fun. Both the good and the bad days all have lessons to be learnt. The people you meet and places you have gone to, challenges faced and many more. All add to the fun of your business.

The Holstee Manifesto This is your LIFE. Do what you love and do
it often. If you don’t like something, change
it. If you don’t have enough time, stop
watching TV. If you are looking for the love
of your life, stop; they will be waiting for
you when you start doing things you love. Stop over analyzing, all emotions are
beautiful. Life is simple. When you eat,
appreciate every last bite. Open your mind,
arms, and heart to new things and people,
we are united in our differences. Ask the
next person you see what their passion is, and share your inspiring dream with them.
Travel often; getting lost will help you find
yourself. Some opportunities only come
once, seize them. Life is about the people
you meet, and the things you create with
them so go out and start creating. Life is short. Live your dream and share your
passion.
