Ojobojo1: This is a bloody insult, na we de supply dem gas to use generate their own o. Our leaders are bloody morons You are the bloody slowpoke since you cannot decipher the desperate shenanigans of the Ghanaian leader trying to get FDI and loans for his country. Did you bother to ask yourself what the present electricity generation capacity of Ghana is or the power projects under construction or even the power supply situation in Ghana. Desperation to criticise our government and our leaders for nebulous cheap political points is driving some folks insane. Even Bob Marley after smoking weed managed to say: "Emancipate yourself from mental slavery None but ourself can free our own minds' 1 Like |

EFCC must sue the OP to a court of competent jurisdiction outside yorubaland for deliberate mischief and misrepresentation of facts. This continuous bashing and insulting of GEJ is honestly now so boring and monotonous. Please give us real and credible opposition and not this silly use of semi-literate urchins with 200 naira data plans that continually assault our sensibilities on this and similar forums. Does APC really believe they can dislodge PDP with this nonsense e-propaganda. Abeg una dey fall my hand big time. 3 Likes |
Business / Mexico, Indonesia, Nigeria, Turkey ....MINT Countries Are The New Brides by oluchy(f): 1:10am On Jan 07, 2014 |
Nigeria is one of the MINT countries, latest brides of the international investment community. Remember Nigeria was originally meant to be one of the BRICS countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) but was removed because the acronym just wouldn't had sounded right. And to imagine that Nigerians are rushing to South Africa and UK is amazing when you can make it big time here if only you put in a fraction of the effort. I am not talking of the drug dealers and scammers but genuine entrepreneurs and business people. Fellow Nigerians shine your eyes. You are literally seating on a gold mine (otherwise known as oil block). The original article is here. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-25548060 Mods I beg you, please put this on front page. Phones / MTN Is Charging SMS Text TWICE by oluchy(f): 11:34am On Jan 01, 2013 |
Happy new year to everyone on Nairaland. I just discovered that MTN is billing me TWICE for each text I send. I discovered this through the notifications that NCC forced telecoms companies recently to send to subscribers after each transaction. After sending a text message please read the incoming notifications. You will notice that you are being billed two times for each text message you send. This is daylight robbery. If you notice this yourself also PLEASE COMPLAIN IMMEDIATELY TO NCC. This bare-faced stealing must stop. eRobbery is MTN's new year gift to Nigerians. NCC, I beg you in God's Name, implement mobile phone number portability IMMEDIATELY. For how long will you continue to allow fellow Nigerians to be ripped off because of the bribes you are collecting. Where is the Consumer Protection Council!!! |

Romance / Re: I Am Doing Something Abominable And I Know But I Need Help by oluchy(f): 10:07pm On Jan 21, 2011 |
Why are Nigerians so pretentious and diehard Pharisees. If we are so holy why is Nigeria among the most corrupt countries in the world. I will tell you my story. When I was about 17 years old, I had to stay with a couple at Iba Estate Iyana Oba as a maid. The man was working in the Island while the wife had a provision shop in the estate. She used to watch romantic Nollyword videos and even blue films during the day. That was my first time of watching such films and it was arousing me very much. To cut the long story short, the wife turned me into her sex slave. I was doing things I cant post here on her and she also drove me toheights of passion I didnt know existed. After about six months, her husband got to know and joined instead of stopping her. Many many times I slept with them in their bed making love. Even their sales girl confided in me that the man used to sleep with her when she was living in their flat and not in the shop. Herself also was doing things to me. I was liberated when a distant uncle benevolently sent me back to senior secondary school and all the way to the university. This couple were so pious and holy, always pontificating that you will never guess what they do in the nighttime (Kenny Rogers - Daytime Friends, Night time lovers). So folks please stop all this holier-than-thou attitude and help her with pratical advice. Girl my advice is this: if you cant take control of your emotions, you will never make it in life. You are not in love with him-just infatuated. They are merely exploiting you. Get yourself your own guy who will love and cherish you. You can stay on in the house but you will have to be very strong willed to succeed. The best option is to go and stay with other students in hostel or offcampus. God bless you and help you. Cheers. |
Phones / My N82 Battery Lasts Only One Day. Pls Help by oluchy(f): 5:54pm On Apr 27, 2010 |
My 2-year old N82 runs out of juice in one day instead of upto five days when it was new. I bought a new battery for N3,500 from a supposedly genuine Nokia dealer but the new battery is even worse. It lasts less than six hours. The dealer alleged my phone is draining the battery and refused to refund my money. I bought another one that had the genuine hologram from another dealer for N4,000. This one lasts only two days before it must be recharged. My question is this: Can a phone that behaves perfectly ok start consuming more power all of a sudden. If so, what can I do about it short of throwing it away and buying a new one. Thanks a million for your anticipated assistance. |

TV/Movies / Re: Stripping Of Exclusivity Rights Of DSTV By The Government by oluchy(f): 4:16pm On Sep 20, 2006 |
Seun to make my position very clear, I fully support what the Government did. As businessmen, Multichoice should also `"fight" back. As to being a politician, I wish I can be a consumate one. That is the fastest way to billions in any currency of your choice in this country OBJ vs Atiku) |
TV/Movies / Re: Stripping Of Exclusivity Rights Of DSTV By The Government by oluchy(f): 3:54pm On Sep 20, 2006 |
Seun I am looking at the issue both as a DSTV customer and as a business person. Multichoice should have done all it takes to preserve their monopoly and the government must do all it takes to protect customers and at the same time allow innovativeness and risk-taking by companies to be adequately rewarded. De-facto monopolies must be regulated. Nowhere in the world is unfettered capitalism practiced. By the way Firebox is a success because in addition to being a good product, it is free but most importantly, people are resentful and unhappy at the stranglehold Microsoft has over the OS market and by extension, browsers. If you think Firefox is a success solely because it is a good product, try selling it and see how far you will get. In business undue government interference must be discouraged. Also monopolies must be broken-up or regulated. (NEPA aka PHCN and the National Electricity Commission NERC is a case in point) At times like this, the greatest good for the greatest number of people must be the goal. Note that monopolies are not created necessarily by superior products but by getting to the market first, deep pockets (MTN vs Econet) and Government policiesand subsidies (Gazprom of Russia, chaebols of South Korea, keritsus of Japan). By the way who says the Dstv is the best satellite broadcasting can be. |
TV/Movies / Re: Stripping Of Exclusivity Rights Of DSTV By The Government by oluchy(f): 2:40pm On Sep 20, 2006 |
Seun, the issue here is that of monopoly. Even the most liberalized, market-driven economies, the moment a company or product is a de-facto monopoly, it is regulated strictly by the Government. In the past, the American Government broke up AT&T into Baby Bells because it was a monopoly. The travails of Microsoft in the EU stems from its monopoly of OS market. DSTV used its monopoly position to impose sky-high prices on hapless customers while paying peanuts to Nigerian workers in its employ. MTN did the same. The only difference is that MTN pays good salaries. In business such predatory behavior is perfectly acceptable and in fact should be a coporate goal. Regarding the regret by Multichoice official for not bribing NBC staff to get protection, some heads in PR dept of Multichoice should roll for not doling out the bribes in good time to avert this slippry ground the company finds itself now. Multichoice should fight back by slashing prices, introduce a midway package between Premium and SuperSelect bouquets, introduce an exclusively Nollywood channel, a media blitz and of course make that PR contribution to NBC people (discreetly of course). |
