I have had to journey through this route (Itele - Lafenwa - Ayobo Road in Ogun State) for a few years and it is so sad to see the stress people go through plying this roads.

From the main Ota township through this road to end of Ayobo, Lagos. The terrible state of the road breaks my heart.

I took so many pictures, but i could only upload a few. It is more of an abandoned road now as commuters had to take alternative route to their various destinations.

There are lot of brokers out there & their duty is to represent you at no cost. You are not to pay a kobo to them.

Also you could walk into any insurance company that you like. If you are in Lagos , just visit their head office and ask as many questions as you like. But if you are going Insurance of businesses, i advice you get a broker to manage your portfolio.

I could give you or anyone all the need advice or support you may need for free but i am off the local grid...In a few weeks now,maybe?

Like i said, insurance in Nigeria should come with "buyers beware". There is a reason insurance companies are hated so much that it even finds itself in US presidential debates. You have no idea. Are you aware that insurance companies do declare occurrences as "an act of God" to avoid paying compensations? Read the history of insurance and how it started. Just like casinos, insurance was started by the mafia. The government took over and exerted control thereby forcing them to take it mainstream. Just like in a casino, there are winners but losers outnumber the winner. Insurance is a business that is out to make profit. In a lot of the cases, one has to go through the court to get them to honour their contract.

Man there is a lot you still need to know. I have followed your comments and i can see you are quite knowledgeable, but not just in Insurance. Please research again. An Act of God means a situation no one has control over such as natural disasters. and you know what, they pay for it. I have insured both in Nigeria and overseas and it is just the same. I think the challenge is the Nigerian mentality, poverty, ignorance and our financial illiteracy, exhibited by even the so called learned Nigerian. The other truth is no Nigerian will ever come out to tell you that they have made recovery from Insurance. They just keep quiet.

Also, try and always have a relationship with the companies, not their agents only (FROM INCEPTION). I have in time past also been a victim with BANKS and SO CALLED INVESTMENT COMPANIES registered and players in the Stock Exchange Market.

I think a lot of people are just not knowledgeable on Insurance, that's all. Please have a rethink. I have benefited in many ways and businesses & Individuals too have. In Western countries, as we call them, everyone know you don't jock with it.
