Following a month-long search for a missing Ghanaian lady, Afiba Abigail Tandoh and her friend Celine Chidinma Ndidum.

Significant developments have emerged pointing towards suspect Andrew Amechi Otchipo, a 52-year-old British Nigerian with deep connections in Nigeria.

Otchipo, a supposed notorious figure wanted by security agencies, was apprehended by Interpol in Nigeria to aid in investigations related to the disappearance of the two women.
Close Circuit Camera (CCTV) footage from the hotel where the trio met revealed crucial evidence linking the suspect to the missing girls, including personal belongings such as the ladies hand bags, ATM cards among others found in his residence.

The story of Adamu, a 12-year-old boy whose uncle severed his arms over phone theft accusations, has sparked widespread demands for justice and stronger child protection measures in Nigeria.

Mwalin Abdu, Vice Chairperson of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Gombe Branch and Chairperson of its Human Rights Committee, strongly condemned the act.

In a press statement titled “Protecting our Future: Urgent Action Needed on Child Protection in Gombe State,” Abdu emphasized the immediate need for implementing child protection laws to stop such abuses.

The statement highlighted the troubling recurrence of child abuse in Gombe State, mentioning a similar incident in 2018 involving 13-year-old Zubair Abubakar, whose arms were also amputated by a teacher over theft allegations.

Abdu stressed that these cases are just a glimpse of a larger problem, with numerous incidents of child abuse, including sexual abuse, child labour, and trafficking, going unreported every day.

Abdu mentioned, “Even though the Attorney General’s office has taken over the prosecution of the cases, we believe that’s not enough because these two stories represent only a fraction of the daily reported and unreported cases of child abuse in the state, including sexual abuse, child labour, molestation, trafficking, and more.”

Despite the ratification of a child protection law in 2022, Abdu noted the significant gap between the law and its enforcement, leaving many children vulnerable.

She urged stakeholders to address this urgent issue and ensure the effective implementation of the law to protect Gombe’s children.

Following Adamu’s case, the Gombe State government has filed charges against his uncle. Abubakar Jungudo, Director of Public Prosecutions in the Gombe State Ministry of Justice, confirmed that the uncle would face prosecution for the severe assault on Adamu.

The community is in shock over this tragedy, calling for justice and better protection for minors, urging authorities to act decisively against such atrocities and prevent further abuse of vulnerable citizens in the state.

After 3 years of legal battle between Asamoah Gyan and Gifty Gyan, things have now come to a conclusion with the court presided over by Hafisata Ameleboba JA, held that Gifty was entitled to a share in Asamoah Gyan’s property based on her substantial contribution.

The court held that since Gifty has contributed in kind to the acquisition of the properties, by being the one who solely catered for the children and lived with the children whilst the Petitioner [Asamoah Gyan] plied his trade, she was entitled to a share and therefore granted her; a UK property, a gas station at prampram, a 4-bedroom house at Spintex already purchased for her before the marriage in 2013 and two cars.

Additionally, the court, granted a maintenance fee of GH¢25,000 a month to be paid to Gifty but declined the relief as to the payment of alimony. She was demanding a million dollars from the ex-footballer.

A husband has been left heartbroken after seeing his pregnant wife in bed with their pastor.

Speaking to the media, Bungoma Police Commander Francis Kooli said he summoned the supposed man of God to clarify his teachings.

“I summoned him to my office on June 2 for questioning. I want him to clarify his teachings. There are allegations that he mixes his biblical teachings with herbal medicines. He needs to clarify if he is a preacher or a witch doctor.

It all began when the event’s master of ceremony announced that one of the people in the crowd is an alumnus of Kyamate Elementary School, where Museveni studied.

He added that the 85-year-old had requested to meet the president who was at the event, after which Micwe stood up and started walking towards the podium.

It was at that point that Museveni stood up from his chair and walked towards the octogenarian for a short chat.

Micwe dropped out of school to marry
The old man disclosed that the two were able to recollect some memorable moments in their childhood before he dropped out in 1958.

According to Micwe, he wasn’t gifted academically as Museveni and their other colleagues, so he preferred to leave books for those who understood them.

“I was only good at football and repeated Primary Five for some years and that is why my father told me to quit school and marry,” he recalled.

That was the point at which their lives went separate ways as Micwe had officially become a family man.

Micwe, who is now a father of seven, expressed joy at meeting the president after over six decades, but admitted that he regrets not finishing school.

Sad news coming from the Western North region of Ghana is all about the demise of one student known as Godfred Ankomah who after receiving some strokes of canes from his class teacher ended up giving up the ghost.

According to the report, the teacher warned them that she would cane them depending on how many mistakes they made on the assignment she had given them.

Godfred Ankomah, a Form 2 student, had a lot of mistakes in his assignment and his madam decided to punish him severely.

Although he informed her that he wasn’t feeling well, the teacher ignored his plea and still flogged him mercilessly, leading to his death.

A lady had the shock of her life when she went to visit her newfound boyfriend in a different city only to find out an envelope handed over to her as transport contains only 100 naira which is equivalent to just 70 pesewas. A woman, identified simply as Nellie, has shared the surprising story of how she married three husbands after the death of her first husband.

The woman said to be a car dealer who imports cars from Dubai, is the first woman to marry multiple husbands in her community.

She said she lost her first husband in a car accident after eight years of marriage and two children.

Following his death, she fell in love with his brother, Hassan, and married him. She also picked two more husbands and married them at separate times.

The woman, who has been living with her three husbands for three years, revealed in a documentary on Afrimax English that there is peace and harmony between the men, and they never fight.


She said she fends for their large family because she is the only one who runs a full-time business.

She added that she believes they won’t cheat on her because she meets all of their needs, both financially and in bed.

She said, “My name is Nellie, and I am the village record holder in this area with three husbands. I have lived with these three men as my husbands for three years. I had a husband with whom we were together for eight years who died in a car accident.

“After he died, I was left with his brother, Hassan, and we continued living in the same house as before my late husband died. He showed me love, and I ended up falling for him.”
