Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State has disclosed that the first batch of 30 Abia shoe makers are to depart for China this week to learn automated shoe making in line with the determination of his government to improving the economy of the people and state.

Governor Ikpeazu, who disclosed this at Amizi Oloko Ikwuano LGA said that the group will form the nucleus to work on the proposed Abia shoe factory to be set up before the end of the year.
