coogar: If beauty is in the eye of the beholder why were PS fanboys dissing the XBone's design when it came out. They are even still dissing the XBone up till now even though it clear to anyone who can see that the PS4 design is awful. The XBone has a minimalist design with straight cut out line, huge stylish vents and no drama. The xbone's design is sleek but the PS4 design is too complicated and looks like an Alien space ship. The Ps4 is cheaper because their camera accessory does not come with the console. The Eye toy cost an extra $59 while the XBone comes bundled with a the CPU powered kinect 2.I have seen Tom Clancy Division and Metal gear solid V on PS4 and the graphics while superb are not as realistic as the one on XBone. The difference is not very much but for a trained eye it is noticeable.Maybe with time it will improve but for now XBone is dominating. You are right that second hand policy is a minus but i do not think Xbox will go through with it.I believe they are testing the waters to see the reaction of gamers. I am pretty sure they will cancel the idea before November when the console is realized. I will probably end up owning both console because of naughty dog's exclusive on PS but i am getting the XBone first based on the exclusives they have.Do you know XBone developers ,made a came call project spark where gamer can create their own games. |

coogar: sony has destroyed x-box First off the PS4 looks childish. The design looks like a toaster and the blue light strip makes it look like a kindergarten toy.Sony failed with the design big time. The XBone looks more mature like something you can easily put in your living room to match you hifi and all. Secondly the graphics on Xbone murdered the PS4 graphics.Check out to demos of Ryse Son of Rome and Titanfall ,two Xbone exclusivey . Xbone showed more exclusive than PS4.I really don't care about Xbone 24 hours internet connectivity has have 24 hours ADSL anyways.I also don't borrow my fiends any of my stuff so i don't have to worry about their second hand game policy. The XBone also has a the best controller which i am used to.I have never like PS controllers has they feel very small in my hands and the position of left thumb stick make my thumb ache after 1 hour of gameplay .Finally the price $499 is chicken change,i rather pay that amount for a quality machine with a solid exclusive games line up. Here are XBone Graphics: Ryse Quantum Break XBone console in its glory; 1 Like |

tpia@: Whatever tribal issues you have regarding this matter, leave me out of it.If you are intellectually incapable of differentiating between the status of a President's son and a rag tag musician ,i can't help you.Only a person who is overly obsessed with his tribe will assume that Yaradua's son was criticized for carrying an Ak-47 because he is a Northerner. You might as well say Boko Haram are being criticized because they Northerners.Maybe where you come from ,it is normal for a child who is not even a teenager yet to carry an Ak-47 with live ammunition.Last i checked you can LEGALLY own a shotgun in Nigeria but you can not LEGALLY own an AK -47 |

tpia@: Hold your horses, who said i hyped this dude If you know how much i dislike this boy called Davido you won't even say that.First off Davido is a "raz" omo alata boy that does childish things to boost his fake ego.His father being rich or him travelling all the time to America does not make him a classy guy.Money can't buy class. That being said ,there is nothing wrong with taking a picture with a firearm,I own several firearms from .45 caliber hand gun to 7. assault rifles and have pictures which i take with my friends when we go to the shooting range or go camping.Where i live owning a firearm is like owning a cellphone,No big deal there. I don't see how he is giving Nigeria a bad name when millions of Americans pose on instagram with their own firearms. It all depends on what he is trying to say with the picture. If he is saying he is a gangster because he is holding a shotgun them he is even more clueless than i thought but if he is a true gun enthusiast, collector and marksman then there is nothing wrong with the picture. As for yaradua's kid, first off he was a kid ,secondly he was the President's son.You can not compare a President's son to a mere talentless musician. Can you imagine Obama's daughters carrying an Ak-47? what do you think the American public will say. 1 Like |

tpia@: Davido is holding a rifle which is usually one shot weapon used for home defense or sports. Yaradua's son was holding a full automatic assault rifle. There is a big difference between the two.Furthermore Yaradua's son was under age when he held the rifle. Davido is an adult who can legally own a weapon 1 Like |
Science/Technology / Squirrels Fight Kung-Fu Over Food (pictures) by OoduaDefence: 2:56pm On Jun 06, 2013 |
This is the moment two angry squirrels went head-to-head in a spectacular fight over food. The African ground squirrels showed the lengths they will go to in order to protect their precious dinner as they can be seen charging at one another and scrapping in the sand as they viciously fought over a watermelon. One of the squirrels was enjoying his fruity snack in peace when he was launched upon by a brazen rival hoping to steal a bite of his meal. But his attempts to chase the cheeky creature away from his dinner failed, when he flew at him with a kung-fu style move. The two squirrels then became locked in a vicious battle somersaulting through the air and rolling in the sand as they scrapped over the half-eaten meal. Photographer Francois Loubser, 40, captured the images in Kgalagadi, South Africa. He said: 'Most people going to reserves wants to see the big five, I just love the interaction of the smaller less noticed animals. To tell the truth I do not even have a proper image of a lion or elephant. 'These squirrels were in our camp and I spotted one of them eating a melon. Every now and then one of them would charge at the other. 'So I set myself up as low as possible focused on the one eating and photographed away.' Francois said the squirrels move so fast, it can be difficult to get a picture, but he continued to snap away in the hope of catching some good shots. 'Luckily managed to capture most of the action. 'I saw that there was a dominant squirrel and that he wants everything, he's always chasing the other squirrels for food. 'When one of the squirrels was eating it would slowly creep closer to try and steal the food and then jump on the other squirrel while it was eating. 'The squirrel eating charged at him and tried to chase him away but I think the dominant one got what he wanted in the end.' http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2336397/Kung-Fu-squirrels-Moment-angry-reds-head-head-spectacular-fight-food.html Source: http://www.9jatalks.com/entry.php?b=171 4 Likes |

Family / Woman Blames PMS For Beating-up Her Husband In The UK by OoduaDefence: 2:24pm On Jun 06, 2013 |
A glamour model has blamed 'pre-menstrual syndrome' for launching a violent attack against her husband and the manager of an exclusive central London hotel.Katherine Nwaiwu, 28, flew into a rage during a row with her husband at the Kensington Close Hotel in west London.A court heard Nwaiwu - also known as Katrina Wild - violently grabbed and kicked her husband and pushed the hotel manager who tried to intervene. The meltdown - described by a judge as 'thoroughly anti-social' was so bad fellow guests called the police. The model, who has posed for magazines including Fiesta, Knave and Escort, pleaded guilty yesterday to assaulting husband Chukwudi Nwaiwu and hotel manager Boris Vasquez-Gallo, by beating. The court heard first-time offender Nwaiwu, who makes £25,000 a year from her modelling work, blamed pre-menstrual syndrome for her behaviour. In response to that, deputy district judge Mr. Timothy Godfrey said: 'I take that into account, but it is no excuse.'Nwaiwu only pleaded guilty to the charges after viewing CCTV evidence, which showed her violently grabbing her husband and pushing the manager in the corridor.Prosecutor Mr Vijay Khuttan told the court the defendant also aimed 'kicks' at her husband, who she became angry with when he told her: 'I'm leaving,' during a row. 'As the husband was leaving the hotel she assaulted him and pushed the manager in the process of trying to get to the fire escape,' he said.'It is a push to the shoulder against the fire exit door, there is no great force as she was trying to push him out of the way, but he had some bruising, which was pointed out by someone else.' Sentencing her, Mr Godfrey added: 'You did behave in a thoroughly anti-social way that was serious enough to upset other hotel guests that did complain.'This stemmed from you losing your temper with your husband in your room and you did assault him and the manager, who was only doing his job.' Nwaiwu, of Malmesbury, Wiltshire, was conditionally discharged for twelve months at Hammersmith Magistrates' Court and ordered to pay £400 costs and a £15 victim surcharge. No orders were made for compensation following the incident on January 24.A charge of assaulting one of the police officers who arrived was dropped. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2336736/Glamour-model-battered-husband-hotel-manager-lost-temper-suffering-pre-menstrual-syndrome.html?ito=feeds-newsxml Source: http://www.9jatalks.com/entry.php?b=168 |

Politics / Nigerian Asylum Seekers Beg South African Government For Free Housing by OoduaDefence: 6:31pm On Jun 05, 2013 |
Government should take measures to assimilate foreigners into the diversified South African community, an asylum-seeker rights group said on Wednesday.Foreigners in South Africa lived on a knife's edge, International West Africa Asylum Seekers Foundation managing director Victoria Philips-Olaboye said."You need to see the multitude of people which gathers at Marabastad [home affairs offices]. They come from all over to get asylum papers in Pretoria and it is not easy. "Some have to sleep on the ground through the night. We have a lot of rape victims there and the people are being robbed. Some of the people are pregnant, some have small children."She said the influx of immigrants to South Africa, particularly from West Africa, was influenced by political upheavals, economic hardship, and family disputes."The belief is that South Africa is better than any country in West Africa so they think they can make it here. Some have sex-related issues, they are not accepted because they are gay." She said her organisation wanted to engage South African authorities to help provide housing for asylum seekers."We have not seen much from the government. We would like to see more being done regarding the welfare of asylum seekers," said Philips-Olaboye."Around 90 percent of asylum seekers are not working. They tell us that even though they are qualified, South Africans are preferred for job opportunities." According to Philips-Olaboye, the organisation had more than 700 members who were constantly exposed to xenophobia, discrimination, and crime.Providing jobs for immigrants would also discourage them from venturing into crime, she said. Nigerian immigrant Omokhagbor Michael said he arrived in South Africa two months ago in the hope of finding better economic opportunities in the entertainment sector. He said his stay so far had been horrific. "Most of the language used in addressing us [foreigners] is vulgar; we just have to bear it. Being Africans, I think we should be treated politely," he said."We had a number of challenges, including riots and [a] political crisis [in Nigeria]. In these days you find yourself in a situation where you have to go and seek shelter. In running for your life, you find yourself anywhere." Michael's renewable asylum-seeker permit had since expired and he said he had not been able to renew it."The South African government has been wonderful to us. Somebody who gives you a house definitely wants you to be there. We face the problem of individuals who want to satisfy their pride."I have been trying to renew my asylum-seeker permit for two weeks. I was initially given one month to stay. One becomes scared and you keep turning left and right," he said. On Monday, the Somali government called on South Africa to protect Somali nationals living in the country after a spate of attacks on foreigners.Residents in a township near Johannesburg rioted against the Somali community last week. Tensions also flared in Port Elizabeth and other parts of the country.Scores of people were arrested following the attacks, which were reminiscent of the wave of xenophobic violence that left at least 60 foreigners dead in 2008. Any smart Igbo man whose IQ is above 110 should ask himself this question: What has JONATHAN done for IGBOLAND? Please look deep into you heart and name one achievement of Jonathan's in IGBOLAND.If you can not name just one verifiable achievement then you know that you are a "mugu" for voting for Jonathan. If you re-elect Jonathan in 2015 be rest assured that Sambo will be President in 2019.Your best bet now is for Igbos to align with APC and produce an Igbo candidate for President or Vice President. The easiest way for Igbo to get a President right now is to agree to a Hausa President and Igbo Vice President candidate via the APC.This will knock out Jonathan and his deputy while securing Igbo President for the near future. Do you think sambo will just step aside and allow an igbo man to take his place, lol think again. This is politics! Rally behind APC now and convince them to at least select an Igbo vice president candidate, you will see that they will win and kick Jonathan of Aso rock. 3 Likes |

You guys can't even choose credible leaders to lead your states but you want to produce a President. The Yoruba leaders so far are the most progressive in Nigeria. The The whole of Eastern/Southern Nigeria receives more federal allocation that western Nigeria which has more population, yet western Nigeria has better infrastructure and VISIBLE development than eastern Nigeria. The only true test of our politics will come when we split Nigeria into 4 different countries.I know it will happen in a matter of years and i can't just wait because i know we Yorubas are a progressive tribe. |

With point 1 you unknowingly admitted that your boss Jonathan is a cheat who never plays fair.Your first "reason" clearly states that Jonathan wanted to use dubious tactics to destroy his opposition. Your second reason also exposes the fact that you are one of those people who talk without eneging their brains first.By your own admission in your second reason ,your boss does not practice true democracy. If he was practicing true democracy he will not try to dictate who Ameachi can align with. ROFLMAO,my GOD do you even read and comprehend what you write before you post Again by your own admission in your third reason,Nigerian Governors are all corrupt but the ones who are Jonathan bodies will be protected from prosecution as from henceforth as only the ones who voted against Jang will be prosecuted. Politics / Re: Who Suffers If Nigeria Divides? by OoduaDefence: 3:43pm On Jun 01, 2013 |
When I read some of the comments here it just made me realize how unintelligent many Nigerians are.I hear people saying Yorubas will suffer because we don't have much oil and all that. Ok let me educate you unintelligent people. First off the most valuable resource in the world is Human Resource. If you have hard working citizens you can turn any nation into a paradise. Zimbabwe at one time was a very rich country ,what made them rich? Agriculture! They simply developed their Agriculture to a level where they were exporting tons and tons of food and making billions of dolars year annual. Fast forward to 2013,the same Zimabwe has now discovered diamonds but their people are suffering because they chased all their farmers away. Do you understand what I am getting at? It is possible that if Nigeria splits, Hausas will focus more on Agriculture and within a decade they can become a self-sustainable country while Niger Deltans and Igbos will still be fighting and looting their oil money. Before you know it Igbos and NDs will be migrating to the north to be enjoy the new Hausa country because Biafra will be a war torn failed state. You don’t need oil to do anything the greatest business any nation can promote is Agriculture and water production. South Africa does not have oil,yet their working citizens live like kings while the working citizens in Nigeria live like slaves. Japan is another country with barren land yet they have the 3rd largest economy in the world. They realized that they had no mineral so they started manufacturing cars and electronics. A far as I am concerned this Oil we have in Nigeria is a curse because that is the only reason our greedy leaders do not want to split the country. |
Politics / Re: Ayobo/ipaja Road Under Construction: Is Fashola Working Or Not? by OoduaDefence: 3:27pm On Jun 01, 2013 |
The problem with this country is that we have dumb leaders who can’t even beat a donkey in an intellectual debate. This is one of the few countries in the world where the federal Government tries it's utmost best to sabotage state Governments. In a normal country that is run by intelligent human beings that will not be case. If I was elected at the time Jonathan was elected the first thing i would have addressed is the electricity problems by building coal and gas power plants. Enugu has abundant coal but our smart President has not thought of building coal plant. Nigeria abundant gas but building a gas plant is impossible for us. Looting though is something we are skilled at and undertake with impunity. If we could build just as well as we loot ,we will better than we are now. Another problem is the awarding contract to local incompetent companies. If I was president I won’t award crucial contract to Nigerian companies as they will never deliver projects on time and will continue to inflate the costs of the project every 6 months. I would have sent out people to help me find competent foreign companies who have a verifiable portfolio. I will never use Julius Berger because they are a very corrupt company who have assisted previous administrations to embezzle Govt funds by inflating contract. Instead I will start afresh and bring in at least 20 foreign construction companies so that there can be healthy competition. Once I solve the electricity problem ,I will focus on depopulating Lagos. This can be done by building new cities. This is what china is doing at the moment to depopulate cities like Beijing. Nigeria has big coasts,State like Ondo , Ogun,Delta,Akwa Ibom have unoccupied coast where small cities can be developed. If this cities are developed with modern infrastructure ,many people and businesses will migrate from Lagos to those areas. This will reduce the strain on the Lagos Government and make lagos cleaner. It simple logic ,unfortunately we have a President who is capable of logical thinking. Jonathan is greatest mistake Nigerians have ever made and Nigerians will soon find how bad that mistake was. My prayer is that in near future , young intelligent and genuinely patriotic leader like me can ascend the mantle of leadership and take care of our people in OOdua. Yorubas have suffered for too long ,we deserve better than this curse known as Jonathan Goodluck. 1 Like |
