As much as violence should be condemned squarely, those supporting Fayose, Fayose, PDP and the President are all hypocrites. When the APC members were shot in RIVERS, no PDP member condemned the attack, when their offices were bombed, nobody remembered Jonathan signed a pact. When the APC office was attacked in Ado-Ekiti, the President or its spokesman has never issued a single statement in condemning the barbaric act. When Buhari was bombed, the President has forgotten that he would be going to North to campaign, he did not even raise a single committee (as his usual act) not to talk of making investigation and till now, no single person has been accused or arrested in connection with the act.

When Fayose issued a death threat/wish to Buhari through his uncultured advertorial, nobody talked not even the President. Yet, it is understandable that all these attacks happened right in PDP states and no single attack at opposition's state.

Government College, formerly Provincial Secondary School, Katsina, which Muhammadu Buhari, the All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential candidate, graduated from in 1961, has released Mr. Buhari’s secondary school certificate examination results.

The results, obtained exclusively by PREMIUM TIMES Wednesday, confirm Mr. Buhari’s claim that he undertook the University of Cambridge West African School Certificate Examinations and obtained five credits in English Language, Geography, Hausa Language, History, and Health Science.

PREMIUM TIMES obtained the computer printout from Cambridge University as well as a statement of result, signed by the current principal of Katsina College, dated January 21, 2015.

The results show that Mr. Buhari, a former military head of state, failed in Mathematics and Woodwork, and had a pass in Literature in English.

The examination centre number was 8280 while Mr. Buhari’s candidate number was 002.

The statement of results is printed on the letter head paper of the Katsina State Ministry of Education, and it shows that the examination took place in 1961.

The Cambridge print out also shows the result of 17 other candidates at the centre, including Shehu Yar’adua, a former Chief of Staff, Supreme Headquarters.

Controversy over Mr. Buhari’s result escalated Tuesday after the Nigerian Army, which had earlier admitted to having a copies of his certificate, reversed itself saying it could not even attest to the details listed in his records.

The spokesperson of the Army, Olajide Laleye, said “Neither the original copy, certified true copy (CTC) nor statement of result of Major-.Gen. Mohammadu Buhari‘s WASC result is in his personal file.”

He said while it is the practice in the Nigerian Army that before candidates are shortlisted for commissioning into the officers’ cadre of the service, the selection board verifies the original copies of credentials as presented, “There is no available record to show that this process was followed in the 1960s.”

The military’s comments came after the retired general had said that his lost copies of results were with the Army, an explanation he gave ahead of elections February 14.

Tinubu blasts Jonathan over rifle comment: Calls on Mr. President to to resign for being clueless

tinubu jonathanNational leader of All Progressives Congress (APC) Senator Ahmed Bola Tinubu has told President Goodluck Jonathan to resign for being ignorant of the state of Nigerian armoury.

Tinubu was reacting to the remarks credited to the president that Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, APC’s Presidential candidate, did not buy a single rifle during his military rule.

“If 30 years ago our armoury was well equipped, we don’t need to buy more rifles,” Tinubu said at the flag-off of Speaker Aminu Waziri Tambuwal gubernatorial campaign in Sokoto.

“If a man does not know the history of his office and the importance and responsibility of his office, let him quit.”

The APC leader also said: “Jonathan has forgotten that Nigeria was actively involved in three wars almost simultaneously. In Liberia we fought gallantly, in Sierra Leone, we fought gallantly and in Chad we fought gallantly and when there was Maitatsine Buhari fought it gallantly, we will bring him back and fight Boko Haram for us.”
He said if the President needed only one single rifle to bring peace and win the fight against Boko Haram, then he should reverse the nation’s budget and remove the trillions that he budgeted for defence.

Also commenting on remarks made by Jonathan that his generation had failed, Tinubu stated that “it is the personal failure of the president not the failure of our generation.”

The former Lagos governor described APC as the cure to the disease ravaging the country adding that the party was waxing stronger by the day.

In his goodwill message, the Governor of Edo state, Adams Oshomole, described Speaker Tambuwal as a dependable goal keeper who had saved Nigerians by rejecting the ill-prepared bills of the PDP government.

In his remarks, Governor of Kwara state Abdulfatah Ahmed said the country was in dire need of change in view of the falling value of the Naira against major currencies as well as the prevailing insecurity in the country.

“The country needs change and APC is determined to bring that desired change,” he said.

Governor Aliyu Magatarda Wamakko in his comment said he reliably gathered that members of the PDP were busy buying voters cards from the people with a view to rigging election. He called on the electorate not to sell their cards as these gave them the only power to bring about change in the country.

He expressed appreciation to the people of the state for their continouos support to his government and urged them to extend same to Tambuwal if elected the next Governor of the state.

The former Governors of Kebbi and Zamfara states, Alhaji Adamu Aliero and Senator Ahmed Sani Yeriman respectively also called on the electorate not only to vote but to ensure their votes were protected.

Buhari terminated the metro line and several other projects because we didn't have money to pay for them. IMF was asking Nigeria to borrow money and that we should also devalue our Naira; which was N1 = $2 then. Buhari refused to borrow more money, instead, he paid all our debts. Infact IMF put some trade embargo on Nigeria. Buhari resulted into trade by barter to keep the country running.

Let us just assume that it was a mistake that the metro line was terminated and that it would have made economical sense to borrow the money to construct the metro line. Buhari was in government for less than 2 years. Are we saying that the successful governments in the last 30 years have not considered it reasonable to build the metro line? Mr. Jonathan has been in government for 6 years and yet our minister wants to blame someone that served for less than 2years in 30 years ago.

This issue was raised in 2003, 2007 and 2011 elections, till today, PDP governments have refused to do something about it. They prefer to raise the issue every four, four years of election to give excuses for non performing or to deceive Nigerians. Dishonorable Mininster, shame on you! As Nigerians, we have learnt our lessons, 16 years of People Deceiving People is enough. We are voting for change, we are voting for Buhari! No deception! Two INEC officials in Obokun LGA area were earlier this morning (around 3 a.m) arrested for diverting sensitive election materials.

One of the suspects, the Electoral Officer for the LGA, confessed to the act but refused to name those who sent him as he pleaded for mercy.

However, he did not deny when confronted that he was sighted inside vehicles belonging to a PDP stalwart in Obokun. His phone call log also showed clearly that he’s had constant voice and SMS communication with the PDP chief.image

The vigilant people of Otan-Ile would have lynched the suspects but for the intervention of police officers.

The INEC vehicle with registration number FG816V01 used in transporting the materials and the suspects involved are presently held at the State CID of the Police Command in Oshogbo.

I'll like to correct this misconception. If Bible were to be read the way it was in the olden days, then I guess all of us might need to be carrying a mud-tablet, remember what Moses got the ten commandments with? there is nothing that has an advantage that has no disadvantage especially when it gets into the hands of abusers though, yet only a shallow understanding of the word of God will make a man conclude that you need to hold Bible before you cast out demons. Jesus never held any, yet he cast out demons, the word of God says in Joshua 1:8... this book of law shall not depart from your mouth... (not from the bible). Bible will only be meaningless if the power does not reside in the holder. Holiness and faith in the name Jesus Christ will finish off demons.

I even laugh when some people sleep with their bibles under the pillow, yet they complain of evil dreams, it doesn't make sense because the word must be stored in your heart and then from your heart there it goes through your mouth. This confirms that the word of God is only powerful when it is in your heart and mouth.

Conclusively, it doesn't matter the mode at which the Word of God is printed, whether it is on tablet, print or electronic, what matters most is that it is in your heart. Then all abuse should be avoided including distractions in the church.

If I may ask, does that mean that we should be going about with Bible everywhere even toilet since demons also inhabit places?
