The afonja lawyer was amused when SAN mike reminded him that sometime in July they argued abt the saraki case and he told him that saraki case would be strikes out. Today, saraki is a free man...
Don't be sìlly. Was the forgery case against Saraki struck out or the plaintiff withrew it? Get some senses.

No it's not, I just have a problem with believing everything I hear especially after cases against Saraki, Ekweremadu on forgery and Dieziani's case on corruption were struck off. I hope you see my point
Liar! The forgery case against Saraki and Ekweremadu was not struck out, but withdrawn by the the plaintiff, the FG. Na so una go dey lie, dey deceive una sef.

Anyways, I've made my points and they remain valid. For the avoidance of doubt. I'm neither for nor against either of thr lawyers. However, on today's debate, ozekhome came up tops.
I challenge you, post the YouTube link.

Vatsyayana:

Ozekhome should be ashamed of himself for citing an old law on national tv. An SAN for that matter.
I respect Jiti Ogunye' s opinion on this issue. He cited valid laws and gave logical interpretations to the laws.
In his postulations he cited ACJA, Criminal Code, DSS laws...all of these were explained correctly.
Ozekhome's rejoinder was unecessary because it was incorrect and not the fact in issue.

I will rather be a Jiti Ogunye than be an Ozekhome on this one!
God bless Nigeria!
I thought I was the only one that heard it. Ozekhome was taken to the cleaners. Imagine a junior lawyer telling him he was quoting an old law. Jiti Ogunye disgraced him and his "SANship" a national TV. Did you notice that after Ogunye said this and quoted the relevant laws to back the action of the DSS, Ozekhome lost balance? He would've felt more disgraced if he was in the Lagos studio of Channels like Ogunye.

Op,are you sure you are watching this programme?
You're a liar. How come Ozekhome couldn't quote any law that says the action of the DSS was wrong? Ogunye quoted sections in our laws to back even the bringing down of the doors of the judges.

Ozekhome took jiti ogunye to the cleaners on his rejoinder.

Ozekhome was calm the whole time while ogunye was the exact opposite
You're a liar. Ozekhome was just busy saying "we're not in Mobutu Sese Seko's Zaire, we're not in Idi Amin's Uganda . . ." Jiti Ogunye quoted sections in our law which gives security agencies the right to bring down the gates of any person that is preventing them from carrying out their search after obtaining a warrant. Once again, you're a liar.

TPAND:
Buhari is bastardizing our constitutional democracy. A judge will make his judgement based on the evidences and petitions put forward by the defense and prosecution counsel

Our fundamental constitutional rights are being bastardized in a democracy. DSS are lap dogs for Buhari, they go about humiliating, victimizing and carrying unlawful, illegal and unconstitutional arrest and detainment of anyone who is not in Favour of Buhari.

I can't believe all this is happening in a democractic system of government
It happens in the US.

It's done in the US. Men of the CIA, FBI, ATF, NSA and DEA break into the homes of suspicious people. But the reason you don't hear it is because the media doesn't publicisize it.

If the group is left and it starts killing you'll be the first to blame the KDSG.

VERY GOOD QUESTION. UNFORTUNATELY NOBODY IN NL HAS D ANSWER
Go read the Land Use Act, it places all lands within a state in the hand of the state government. State government can take over any land it has interest in or whose owner fails to abide by the rules of the government. The government however pays compensation. Didn't you read somewhere the the Anambra State Government took over a piece of land bought by the FG?

With the demolition of houses at that axis, I can only imagine how wide the road would be. I used to think the buildings were far enough not to be touched. I pity GTB. Maybe they're taken unaware probably after going to court. The rate at which people were looting their things yesterday was high.

In your logic, 24 hours power is good, but government shouldn't do it because it would put generator and inverter sellers out of business.

Please was the land allocated for the road from the onset. Or is that the government is just acquiring the land for the expansion.

It's within the power of state governments to take over people's lands and pay compensation.

I don't think such idea has anything to do wit our collapsed economy.
I don't want to say his incompetence. I think it will be more meaningful if he can embark on reduction of cost of governance.
Always ask for clarification if things appear not to be clear. Selling those will not just make money available to the government but also save the money that is always budgeted for their maintenance.

@seun. I read this piece with open mind. I admire tinubu alot but i was very surprised that tinubu aligned with buhari in the first instance. I know he's trying to expand his influence beyond south west but aligning himself with the north without taking thinking about how awolowo was used and dumped by the north. Tinubu and the yorubas as a whole should apologise to the rest of south for joining the north. I stand for biafra but i would also stand for a nigeria where the south south, south east and the south west would stand together and fight this scourge called north. My only issue is whether the yorubas can be trusted.
Give me one example of where Awolowo was used and dumped by the North.

Politics / Re: Why Does The Average Yoruba Man Support Buhari Even More Than Northerners? by OrlandoOwoh(m): 8:13am On Oct 04, 2016
ikechu1:
Yorubas can make as much excuses as they like..we all know the truth.

Op they support Buhari more than anybody including the North because of the exact thing Daniel1990 stated.....to SAVE FACE!!!!.

They told the nation that Buhari is the messiah that's coming to save the country.
They helped him promise ridiculous, unachievable feat to decieve people.
While doing that, they went around claiming 'political sophisficated' and it's their sophistication have helped them decipher that Buhari is the perfect speciemen for the country's growth.
In addition, they gave the lie that Buhari is an honest, uncorrected leader

Fast forward to now, everything their so called "political high mind" proved to be a load of delusional Bullsh1t. Thus far, Buhari has shown to be the worst president in Nigerian history. His ministries are all inept and incompetent.
To top it all off, the so called "honest, uncorrupt man" ended up being the worst in terms of corruption. Despite the nation in recession, they are still looting likewise his minister.

In other words, yoruba are trying so desperately to sell the image that Buhari is working despite the obvious truth and reality staring at them is because they are desperate to save their face. Since they are the only southern group that fell for Buhari scam, they don't want to show there was a reason all the people they supported in the past failed in the polls. Their so called "political sophistication" they self claimed have thus far been shown to be a load of delusional Bullshit

Not only that, based on their act whenever any SS or SE leader get praised on this forum....how they invade it and start doing some unnecessary dicks measuring thus far shows how Immature and tribalistic they are....they have a huge inferiority complex when it comes to other southern group based on their act thus, like someone said their hatred the give credit to other southern plays a role on their support for buhari. They rather give Buhari delusional applause of progress than give GEJ (anot her southern leader) accolades. Like they are extremely tribalistic. Have you not notice that the only minister in GEJ cabinet that they support was actually one of their own...everybody else they attack even if it's other nation leaders praising them.

Both Daniel1990 and Jengem are accurate in what they said
Rubbish! Yoruba people are independent minded. They are not a bandwagon people. Show me one man from SS or SE that criticizes Buhari like these two Yoruba men, Fayose and FFK.
