The Nigerian movie industry might soon experience a major setback (if not death) if issues are failed to be ironed out.
Our Nollywood can only ride high only when actors, producers and marketers all smile to the bank at the end of every production. This would automatically reduce the quantity and improve the quality of the movies.

Piracy is the clog in the wheel of this progressive future.

In Abia state WE ARE SERIOUSLY IN THE DARK(it appears that the light God created on the first day didnt reach here).

@Willy*2, you speak so lowly of Nigeria! if you ve ever witnessed the brutality of war. Your perception of life woulod be a lot more different. I really don't think you should be making others who re human enough to look the other way.
There is a fact which you must ve to note, We re Nigerians, We re Africans, Our nation and continent is under a serious seige which as responsible citizens we must join forces to combat.

Friend that is what Our nation Nigeria is doing right now, if our numerous "good works" earns us a seat at the Security council- very wonderful.

But please, just seating behind a PC is not the best, STAND and get counted.

It was know that three Blacks were convicted of the murder of Brother Malcolm,The Honorable Elijah Muhammad suspended Muhammad Ali  during his down time and readmitted him into the Nation of Islam when he reclaimed the world Championship.

The obvious fact is that there is a nagging problem which if not looked into might cause the fall of our great nation.

The Movement for the Emancipation of Niger Delta, MEND says it will extend its bombing campaigns beyond the creeks of the region to other parts of the country if the Federal Government “accedes to the military’s request to raid militant camps” in the Niger Delta.


The group said in a statement, signed by Jomo Gbomo and posted on the internet that its first target would be the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos, stating that it had the expertise to detonate car bombs and other structures considered impossible to destroy.


“The JTF or military has claimed victory in the on-going operations in Port Harcourt and other areas but it is not victory against the emancipators but victory against those criminals that have hijacked the operations of the freedom fighters.
Our field operatives who carry out car bombings, commandos and fighters are on stand by.

We are waiting for the signals from government that will either cause us to strike or stand down.

We are aware that for the government to declare victory, the military must secure every meter of oil pipeline, major bridges and oil facility and employee, which is impossible.

It will take an hour to destroy a facility that took years to put up.


Nothing can really stop us and we are saying that no force in the country can stop the fighting machine or the spirit of the people.

It is a war of emancipation and not for self-aggrandizement, we know those who are against us.


The JTF has become the occupational force in the Niger Delta while the SSS is the Gestapo similar to what happened during the Second World War.

These soldiers and secret police are involved in extra- judicial killings, rape, theft, harassment of innocent civilians and now its off-duty personnel connive with criminal gangs to commit kidnapping for ransom.

We wish to state that the attempt to raid our camps will not succeed because in the first place we do not have a fixed base so they will only meet extinguished campfires that show that a camp once existed there.


As a guerrilla fighting force, we are mobile to move from place to place.

We have a stockpile of recently delivered heavy weapons to counter any air or amphibious attack the Nigerian military forces are also acquiring weapons, so the match is even.

Better still, we have the expertise to detonate car bombs that can divide the Lagos third mainland bridge into two.

The most important is the hearts and minds of our fighters who are all volunteers.

They are fighting for what they believe in and not for a salary.

They are fearless and that is our greatest asset”.

my reply can be tagged by an informed fellow as surmising but I ve to air my view because am a Nigeria and therefore involved directly or indirectly.
Education in Nigeria is a cipher, and bulk of the blame would aportioned to our leaders and every other in the position of authority and a lesser extent us the citizens. This malfunction goes beyond the educational sector, the political sphere is in control of every other. If we (as a nation) cant get it right there, am afraid our jounery to a viable educational system might be an illussion.

I want us to know that we are responsible for everything that we ve experineced as a nation, we indiidually can start to change our outward display. lets start by been Honest, trustworthy, hardworking and ve faith in ourselves and Nigeria. definitly people around us would come to appriciate us and our New Nigeria.

The question of leadership in Nigeria nay Africa should be of concern to all of us. If peole like Etteh can ever be presented to Nigerians as their speaker (of the House of Rep). One can only wonder, we may thenhave every reason to know the qualities her successor may likely have. We must not forget (in all this)that was the same PDP "Inner wheel " that get Etteh to were she was, then she would have been the "best", if Etteh"PDP`s best " is a ciper, an aversion and possibly a featherbrain, I think there is every reason for us to grouse. The leadership of the PDP is about this time exalting someone! I mean no disrespect to the incoming Honouable Speaker but Leadership- the PDP way!

31th October the 1USD was exchanged for #125.5 in the Black market and #124 by the CBN. However, we would see the Dollar falling to a very low say #120. As you may have observed, the Dollar falls around this period because of too much of it in circulation. Nigerians abroad are either coming home or sending money home.

For an Investor, You can buy the dollar say 2nd week of December and wait to sale say 1st week of Febuary 2008 - then the Dollar would be in high demand. This is a sure money(only that you must make your own exit point. dont be carried away by the highs of the Dollar. )Good Luck!

@lawuyi, i know Dangote floor offer would be over subscribed. It return in on investment would be high as well. I am looking at with with Warren buffetts spec. One major xtic of good investment can b seen in how often the said goods are used. Floor is an everyday thing(like sugar) hence its consumpion rate is relatively high and considering the market which ve no stirf competition. To me this means more sales which would ultimately translate into profit.
It is a sure deal.

I think Nigeria is were she is today chiefly because of the inability of our fathers to unite the polity. If our fathers couldn`t, must us their children follow the example. I believe the the problem is not our ethnic differences but our inability to take responsibility.

Before the Maji dynasty, Japan had the problems of regional disperity, they identified their problem and one of the strongest economy.

pls lets just forget about tribe and face the challenge.
