And trust our naija guys. The guy that took us to da hotel added extra 1,800 Roubls per night on our hotel bill for 5days because we didn't understand russian. He however ran out of luck on the third day, when we met a receptionist who speaks english at the hotel

Real good for me, I was at the embassy for close to 18hrs with the extremely cold weather before we could trace any of the organisers of the exhibition.

Having to travel to Moscow (to attend a trade exhibition) for the first time without the address or phone no of where i was going was a big risk i took in 2005, moreso i don't understand russian language. Thank God for a nigerian girl (Chioma) who took me to the Nigerian embassy from the airport.

Politics / Re: Nigerian Becomes Ireland’s First Black Mayor by Orosunnuku(m): 3:39am On Jun 30, 2007
If this is true, then it is good news for Nigerians.
It shows that we are capable of good things, contrary to the negative image some people paint about us.
More of this, so that our detractors can go die in the Atlantic Ocean!
Politics / The Best President Nigeria Never Had by Orosunnuku(m): 3:28am On Jun 30, 2007
Who was the best President Nigeria never had, between Chief Obafemi Awolowo and Bashorun MKO Abiola?
According to Chief Ojukwu, Chief Awolowo was "the best President Nigeria never had." IBB also described Chief Awolowo as "the main issue in Nigeria politics, you are either for or against him."
According to OBJ, several social and human rights activists as well as international observers, "June 12 elections won by Bashorun Abiola was the most free and fairest in the history of Nigeria."
Now over to you, Nairalanders what do you feel?
Politics / Who Was Nigeria's Most Vindictive President/ Head Of State by Orosunnuku(m): 2:33am On Jun 30, 2007
Dear Nairalanders, between OBJ, IBB and Abacha, who was the most vindictive?
Lets compare the number of people detained without trial or denied justice in their various regimes before making inference.
Family / Re: Is It Possible For Parents To Love All Their Children Equally? by Orosunnuku(m): 2:10am On Jun 30, 2007
No it's not possible to love all your children equally.
But don't show them who is your favorite to forstall enimity and unhealthy rivalry amongst them.
Be fair to all of them. You never know who will take the best care of you when you grow old and weak.
Family / Re: Rate Of Father's Death by Orosunnuku(m): 2:04am On Jun 30, 2007
Could be due to the stress of fatherhood coupled with Naija factor!
Who knows, spirituality maybe at play as in extended family wanting to inherit your wealth?
Family / Re: Rate Of Father's Death by Orosunnuku(m): 2:00am On Jun 30, 2007
@Olufidu,
I don't know where you got your statistics from but you seem to be close to the truth.
I lost ma Pop about 25yrs ago when i was bearly 20yrs old and in higher institution. He was in his ealy 50s when he died.
Meanwhile, my mum is still hale and hearty at over 70yrs - anyway, I thank God for her live and wish her many more fruitful years on earth.

Nairaland / General / Re: Abortion - Is It Good Or Bad! by Orosunnuku(m): 12:51am On Jun 30, 2007
It depends on the circumstances. Ordinarily, abortion is bad.
But on the other hand, abortion could be a virtue when there are serious health complications for the pregnant woman.
Health / Re: Who Own The Child,is It The Mum Or The Dad by Orosunnuku(m): 12:17am On Jun 30, 2007
God owns the child, parents are merely God's appointed guardians on earth.
Come to think of it, do we really own anything on earth?
"We came to this world naked, so shall we return."
