kaludestiny10:
Can you point out just one tangible thing the APC people have said to the people of
Edo State since they began their carnival of moving from one ward to the other all in the name of campaign.
The one that said tangible thing what has he done?
My dear, I know FG hasn't done much for Nigerians but Edo state seem to be the worst hit because of the maladministration of the so called dictator - Obaseki.

Aside Anambra, Owerri, Enugu, Benin,Asaba and Kano that have growing passenger traffic other airports are either no in use or sparingly used. Therefore their failures should not be used to discredit the airports I mentioned.

People are angry with Obaseki because of poor road construction, his fight with the Oba of Benin, his usage of outside the State contractors for project execution without patronising state contractors and his fight against party leaders. His candidate is the best for now but that might not win because of the sin of his principal.
You spoke my mind. Kudos man!

Just as you are talking about Akwa Ibom, come check out Delta. Then check the difference (in that 13% derivation) between Delta and Akwa Ibom, the difference is huge yet there is absolutely nothing to show for it in Delta.
I know they have good roads to some extent in Akwa Ibom but pls come and see what is happening in Delta.
The governors are a bigger evil that the president, I swear!
Delta state issues tired me oooo. God help that state.

I think the major problem is that the state is counted among states that are educationally disadvantage state in Nigeria.
There need to work on their educational system.

Politics / Re: Businessday Poll Reveals Asue Ighodalo Leading In Edo Governorship Race by OVB123: 4:26pm On Aug 12
Nonybb:
Upon the fact that Godwin Obaseki failed as a governor to deliver infrastructural development very critical to Edo state and on Benin urban corridor in particular, they are arge to return his candidate. Nigerians deserve the bad governance they get. If you ask some of them, the motive is that they are swirled by ethnic and tribal consideration. All of a sudden, mobs are singing for Asue.... and for which antecedent? The answer is: his tribal antecedent. That is the same scenario in the last presidential election; despite the fact that Buhari looted the country with his Fulani brothers, they returned his candidate Tinubu
You spoke my mind. Kudos!

no issues with both of them. They are at peace with each other. You will see fantastic results of Pdp winning massively in the polling units in oba benin palace community. Obaseki and Asue are naturally been loved by Edo electorates
I don't think you base in Edo state.
Let me leave it there.

Hmmm, you really don't get it. The state governors are empowered to remove or install any king in Nigeria, no matter how highly placed or revered. If Obaseki wanted to remove the Oba of Benin, it'll be the smallest thing for him to do. Na even local government chairman go serve am the letter self. So, forget that your story.
He can't do it.

One would think that with this huge revenue accruing to the state, there Will be a reasonable development in that state but 'no' reversed is the case.

This is a world bank project

I hope you know the difference between world bank funded project & state fund projects

Most of the project you advertised on this forum are either world bank projects or projects that are 80% done by previous administration but completed by this present administration

So far, this government has not done well in the areas of infrastructure and I can prove that to you with many facts

Please tell me more about this present Governor. Is he doing well on infrastructures?
Politics / Re: LG Autonomy: Supreme Court decision, an assault on true federalism - James Ibori by OVB123: 6:34am On Jul 12
EmeeNaka:
Nonsense !
The most important thing in the law is the spirit of the law and not the letters of the law. That's why the Supreme court explicitly stated that the state governors has abused the privilege accorded to them.
The supreme court ruling has effectively established an autonomous third tiers of government and this is very important for the development of the country and Nigerian democracy.
The fear of political meddling in local government affair by the Federal government is secondary and should not becloud our resolve to give more opportunities for development to local level.
Imagine some towns and local government being at the mercy of their Governor. Some Governors will seize the allocation of local government and use it to develop another place. The Supreme court ruling is valid
God bless you on this summission.

he’s very unpopular. You will see what I’m talking about on the Election Day. Asue Ighodalo will defeat him in Edo central senatorial district
Yes, they is no doubt that Ighodalo will defeat him in Edo central but the issues is that Edo central has the least number of votes in Edo state. Edo south has the lion share, follow by Edo north and with the running issues obaseki has against the Oba of Benin, it will be difficult For PDP to win the senatorial district.
Furthermore, Edo north is the stronghold of APC. You can see from this analysis that APC still have the edge over PDP.

wherever you come from is your business, Lagos has been a commercial city even before joining Nigeria and the inhabitants were mostly the aborigine, Awori, Egun, ijebus, Egbas and the Saros, it has always been destined to be great before Nigeria and before your ancestors ever dreamt of migrating to lagos…you cant tell me about my history, proudly lagos by origin so keep your tales to yourself.
See the way you excluded the original owner of Lagos.
