Hiya, their site is working my end. You know you have to use a Google+ account or Google Chrome or something like that; could that be the issue you are having? Personally I wish one didn't have to be forced to go G+/Chrome as it, by-force, wants to messes up your youtube channel and other stuff. Apart from that, not really sure what to say. Click here and try -

Goodluck with it.

There's just no evading Google+ is there? angry Anyways, thanks a lot brah, will go give it another try now. Cheers!

VillageBoi: Teehee, very nice. Totally enjoyed that!!

Sup bruv? This is a totally different subject. I reckon you've submitted your short for the Afrinolly contest. Pray tell, are there any particular specifications that one should have in mind as regards how to upload a short to the site? the recommended video format and all?. I should have been able to get around this myself, but the website doesn't seem to be in good shape at the moment. Your tips would be of great help. Thanks!

Very very good with dialogues, lady winona. Quite good! Do you write scripts or did you just do this for kicks? I'm curious.

I haven't seen Argo, and to be honest I'm not too keen to see anything directed by Ben Affleck. Lol! How was it tho? Was it pants?

This research is false on many counts...

1. Football makes peoples happy and make them laugh hence it greatly improves thier health...even the anxiety gotten from watching football is healthy in light doses

2. That whole spiritual blah blah is all bullsit

Even your conclusion is fals one atleast one account...
"Football makes peoples happy and make them laugh hence it greatly improves thier health...even the anxiety gotten from watching football is healthy in light doses"

Atleast a hundred cases of death have been recorded in football related activities,on and off the pitch. A few years ago, an Arsenal supporter in Kenya committed suicide because his team lost. 2 years ago (or thereabouts, can't remember) an aggrieved football fan in Nigeria, obviously enraged by his team's loss, ran over fans of opposing clubs with his car. It has been repoerted that a man in Europe beat his wife to death cos she interrupted him while he was watching a match. And it goes on and on... My point? It's true that football evokes feelings of tremendous joy, but only when you're winning. It's a different feeling entirely when you lose. So you see, football is not all nirvana like you wrongly concluded.

Hey Lynxx, how's it going? You made really interesting points about the politics involved in the profit sharing between the cinema, producer, distributo and the state. A lot of people tend to get carried away by the glamour and glitz the cinema provides, they think it automatically equals a truckload of cash for the producer, director et al. The rip-offs at alaba are never an option for me either. Self-distribution is what I would suggest to anyone who really wants to earn the fruits of their sweat in the film industry. It won't be easy, but it'll ensure you call the shots as far as your film is concerned and you don't get ripped off by anybody.

What the actors/actresses and directors don't understand is that subtlety often conveys emotions more effectively. What they don't also understand is that every possible emotion can be seen and felt by the audience on the actress/actor's face even without them uttering a word. Finally, they need to understand, and it is the director that should tell them this, that the dialogue shouldn't be what should tell the audience how you feel, the dialogue is only a symptom of what the actor feels on the inside, not the real deal. Everything you feel is on your face! So they have to properly internalize their roles and lines and deliver without screaming the building down. But ofcourse, they wouldn't know this since they don't give a hoot for research.

I wanna see this short! Its refreshing to find a girl willing to try her hands out in the horror genre. Do it, by all means please. Like @villageboi said, getting amateur actors shouldn't be too difficult. Shooting all indoors as the premise suggests shouldn't eat too much into your budget too. I'll be looking out for your short.

What bothers me more than the well-known dubious policemen is the fact that people are actually complaining about the length of the post. You'd be surprised to find that most of them are graduates who claim to have done their projects and theses themselves. This is so sad, what lies ahead for kids who will be raised by these people?

However, I thoroughly enjoyed the post and commend it, it was well composed and structured and at the same passed his message across effectively.

@OP so if a movie made 60 million naira, the 2 leading actresses share it 50 - 50? The producer, director et al all get nothing? Lmao! Seriously bro? Tell you what, they'd be lucky to get anything more than 5 million naira apiece for the movie, and that's a bloody fair sum.

never_say_never: Choice people, choice. It's all about choice. Life'll be boring if we all danced to the same tune. What you consider trash may pass message to another.

^^ What possible meaningful message is "Take banana till you go yo" (x5) passing to you?

All songs carry messages, even messages unintended by the singer, that's the power of music! However, the OP's point was tied around POSITIVE messages, songs that possess meaningul lyrics that rub off on you and affect your thought pattern in a good way, which is lacking in no small measure.

Not all genres of music must carry a message;

- Classical music; Ludwig Van Beethoven, Wolfgang Mozart, Johann Bach e.t.c. All they did was compose music that had no lyrical content. If you can tell me the message in Frederik Chopins Sonata in B-flat minor, then I will call you a witch, because all I hear are instruments.

- Rock Music: Still considered Devil music by some. This I also love. However, not all rock music is meant to carry a 'Love thy neighbour as you love yourself' message. Punk Rock, heavy Metal, alternative all appeal to those who have the ear for it.

- Gospel Music: To someone like me, its just noise, to a born again christian, its the best thing since sliced bread.

- Nigerian Music: 9ice sold a shitload of copies of his first album. I personally have purchased over 5 of those albums. I dont hear a word of Yoruba, but when I bump his CD, I enjoy it like I am an indegene of Oshogbo. Same thing with the Late Dagrins Album.

Some music are informative, some educative, some to lighten your mood, some to whip you into an energetic frenzy, some just for entertainment and so on..

One mans bad music is another man's classic music.

Your post was rendered invalid from the point you said not all music must carry a message. Start by reading up the etymology of the word 'music'.

You should watch it. John Woo is a bada$$ director.

I'll find it. John woo is undoubtedly right up there with the best but I'm not a freak for action flicks, so he doesn't really influence my work that much. But he is an amazing director nonetheless, and if you say the movie is really good, then I'll take your word for it and be sure to find the movie.

Yeah, I take particular note of background sounds in movies and the score is my favourite part of this film. Talking about scores, you don see Red Cliff?. Gawd, I love the score of that film. . . I dey play the movie everyday on top my pc just so I can listen to the score in some scenes lol.

Yeah, I tried the first link and it's working perfectly, dunno about the second link though.

Why not post the still pics here?

Guy, no be lie but you gats start pooling resources together to make your feature film. You can count on my e-support grin

The score for Red Cliff was composed by Dmitri Golovko, right? I haven't seen the film but I've take a great liking to his works. He's really good!
Religion / Re: Pastors Owning Private Jets Is An Embarrassment – Bishop Mathew Kukah by Owen2(m): 11:03pm On Nov 18, 2012
Ogbonaikenna: CHRIST said "carry you cross and follow me". That was what the apostles did. They didn't say because Christ has died for them so they must acquire as many wealth as possible. Who among the apostles was/were rich after Christ has ascended to heaven? Remember what Christ told the rich man if he wants to make heaven? Sell all your properties and give the money to the poor. A life of selfless service. A life of earthly poverty but heavenly riches.

You will see heaven. Say AMEN!
Religion / Re: Pastors Owning Private Jets Is An Embarrassment – Bishop Mathew Kukah by Owen2(m): 11:00pm On Nov 18, 2012
teeo: There is no substance in Kukahs statement, churchs today are blessed because the bible contains secrets to living a life of affluence here on earth and after life in heaven.
Why is it that people always want to assume that the church is poor. The church and its members are not poor. God keeps blessing his people.
Poverty is a state of life also wealth is another state. Those of us who pay our tithe are blessed and can also be a blessing.
If the money used to buy the jet is not your fathers own then shut up.

With this comment, you have lost every right to utter any word of condemnation against any corrupt politician.
