Business / Re: GTB Releases Official Statement On Innoson And EFCC by oxonek: 11:05pm On Dec 21, 2017
A friend's experience with GTB: He had a loan facility with the bank, and when he decided to liquidate, after having received a liquidation balance previously, GtBank increased the amount without explanation when he tendered his cheque for final settlement, stating that their loans officer who advised the balance in writing, had made a mistake!

You know what GtBank further did? They put a lien (blockage) on his account into which the amount for the loan liquidation had been deposited, insisting that he agree on the new figure even without legible explanation of how the new balance had been arrived at!

In desperation, because he had no other income stream, and needed to fulfill other financial obligations, lost a further over N300,000 in concession. (He insists he is preparing our legal response)

Sounds crazy, but this is no fiction.

FIXED!

Having a Single mate IS NOT in a Man's DNA.
If you see a Man sticking to a single mate, look well, there is something forcing him to do so. It is so unnatural for male species.
Even Male 'lower' Animals dont stick to a single Female.

JUST THAT WOMEN DONT WANT TO ACCEPT REALITY, THESE DAYS

You appear unprincipled! You also do not fear God, and have no respect for your marital vows. (If you are married) Finally, you also are far from being a Christian, in the real sense of the word. There are men who do not cheat on their spouses and refuse to do so. Vanity, short-sightedness and wickedness is what drives all cheaters. I expect negative reactions from this comment, but only the deep calls to the deep.

Nice one! But the PR Unit of the church should properly edit their releases going forward.

CaptainFM1:
Shut the Bleep up, old man. You need to know the Legitimate use of any part of a song before you can conclude they've infringe on your copyright.

The word Joromi in all the songs refers to someone, as it's a name of a person. You can only prove infringement if substantial part of the songs are matched lyrically, in tunes, in sounds, in beats and even dance-step. And I think by standard copyright law, it's a measure of about 10%.

Do you know how many times Dangote, Otedola, Omotola, Genevieve, Folake etc has been mentioned in various songs? Why are they not complaining of infringement?

The answer is simply because no one can lay singular right on such names. Not Even Dangote or Obama can lay singular ownership to their own names. Unless you can proof that substantial part of your songs has been copied, lyrically, composition, tunes, sounds and beats etc. There's no copyright infringement whatsoever. The word Joromi in all the songs is for GENERIC use, including yours.

You have no home training! Consider how you would react to someone referring to your dad in your opening remarks. You can make your point without being so rude and savage.

This is a very disrespectful and ignorant comment. Victor Uwaifo had won international awards, acclaim and recognition long before you were conceived. His music transcends language and tribe. He is many times a living legend. I do not know about you.

I am repeating my response because of the Ibos. I challenge them to an intellectual debate.

So your startup company paid tax under Jonathan when oil sells between $118 & $140 per barrel and Jonathan did not save kobo, but rather he borrowed heavily & depleted the reserves OBJ left from $60 billion to about $30 billion. What a conspiracy, you, GEJ & your sister Okonjo Iweala deserve the best award in corruption & management.

How do tribal sentiments come into a debate of this nature? Can't we be more balanced?!

Duke, you're a State Governor for 8 years, please sir, what did you do in that state to prevent Lagos from collapsing? Talk is cheap, they say,so talk on.

You have the facts online and all over Cross River State. Duke's achievements are not hidden, and that's why he was a PDP favourite to take over from OBJ until he chose Yar Adua/Jonathan.

I was impressed by his speech. He sounded clearer than many of his previous speeches, and his delivery was firm. The content of his speech was relevant too. He must now come back home and request accountability from our Governors, and lead the delivery of democracy dividends to our people. Wish him good health.

Founder of Nigeria's first vehicle assembly plant, Midmotors, Nigeria's first private airline, Okada Air, , Nigeria's first Montessori curriculum Education facility,Igbinedion Education Centre, Nigeria's first soup kitchen that fed the have-nots F.O.C, Nigeria's first First Class medical facility, Igbinedion Hospital and Medical Research Centre...the University, TV station etc. Please forgive me if I sound a bit passionate: I just love this man and his vision, and bravery. If you remark that some of these institutions are not visible today, then think of Nigeria's frustrating investment environment including manpower deficiencies. Happy Birthday Chief!!

Atiku appears to me like a kind person who will at least have pity on Nigerians, and be benevolent in administering their affairs. The current leaders do not have any milk, talk-less of that of kindness in their hearts. If he channels his campaign well, he will get a look-in.

MaziOmenuko:
If her conclusion is drawn from this pix that we all are seeing now, then she is hopelessly paranoid.

1. That place is an open office space as you can see the other colleague sitting there.

2. It is obviously an attempt at pecking her despite the fact that the said colleague is objecting by slightly pushing him off.

3. I can guess its a colleague of theirs doing his/her birthday and they decided to loosen the tie a bit and have a good time.

My verdict is that the wife is an insecure brat that may most likely be a persistent nag at home. Imagine coming back from work and be confronted with this innocent pix as an evidence of infidelity. She will finally push that innocent husband to the arms of a more loving woman.

How would you react if your wife was so "pecked"? It just shows the amount of respect the lady has in the office. Besides we are told that she has a reputation. Didn't you read that? Every woman should carry herself with respect and decorum, and this applies particularly to married women at work.

Travel / Re: Lagos "Least Liveable" Ranking Hard To Believe –foreign Residents In Nigeria by oxonek: 8:18pm On Aug 27, 2017
Lagos has nothing to show to a visiting foreigner. The sights from the Murtala Muhammed Airport, through the Mafoluku bus routes up to Oshodi are shockingly distasteful. The airport road median with its poorly manicured gardens is wider than the road itself. Streets are not lit, or poorly lit at night, security doesn't exist in spite of Ambode's best efforts. So wetin we dey talk about here?! I am confident however in spite of these facts, that soon, Lagos will arrive where it should be. But a lot of re-orientation needs to be in place, then hospitals, schools, roads, public parks need to wear a new look as well. Make we all join hands...to make Lagos better.

Bleaching is not always harmful, doctors even prescribe hydroquinone. But applying those creams on a newborn, I don't think is right.

I wonder why woman that relax their daughters hair don't get much heat?

Nigeria is not a country that appreciates dark skin. Someone here called the woman on my profile a black demon.

This is all a charade.

If Nigerians do not appreciate dark skin, you are one of the reasons they do not, by pandering to narrow minded views. You do not need anyone to give you a nod to wear your natural skin colour my friend. If you need approval, then you've got low self esteem. Just ensure your skin is well groomed, without rashes or pimples. The most beautiful black women in the world have natural skin, not bleached. Check.
